Today we’re at the Kingdom at Reynolds Lake Ooney and we are calling out the head lead instructor Taylor Crosby who actually play University of Georgia with Chris Kirk, Brennan Todd, and Kevin Kisner. Imagine going to college and you get up against three PJ superstars. And you’re beating him every once in a while, too. When this one drops, they’re going to be so cooked. Oh, he’s almost had a birdie every single hole so far. That’s not a bad gig. This might be one of the best guys we’ve ever played on our channel. What’s up? What’s going on, guys? What are your initial thoughts there? Like what a stack roster you guys have. So, so when I first got there, it was kids, kid named Richard Scott from Canada who’s crazy good. We had Ryan Hibble who’s now the coach at OU. All those guys like we played junior golf with each other for years before that. So like I knew how good they were. I knew how tough it was going to be. But you know, it was one of those where you knew you were gonna get better playing with them all the time. So it’s really cool. I got a question for you, Taylor. So you played tournament golf, played college golf. There was a clip saying if pro players use rangefinders, Scotty said he wouldn’t help speed up pace of play. It wouldn’t. So give us an insight like from Connor. I have we got this on the podcast and it was a huge discussion. They’re so specific about stuff. They’re not really even shooting flags. When I was catting, when you’re playing, like you’ve got your your yardage book, you got your whole location sheet. You’re looking at numbers that they’re trying to carry it. So, they’re going to have to they’re shoot it. Yeah. It’s like maybe a backup number, but they’re still walking cuz they’ve lasered everything before the term to the front edge to the back edge to different things. So, they’re still walking off regardless. They’re still walking it off. What’s your record ever playing anywhere? Oh, you’re so close. 59 at Kusville. I lifted out on 18 for 59. No way. Yeah. I was just worried to hit too far like you cuz if I would have clubed up one that’s a play I was aggressive with it and so you got to kind of play short. We got a tricky putt here downhill. Going to break left or right I think because of these hills over there but go back that way. Yeah, we just got to get it in play. Honestly, I’m going to aim way up left and let it kind of trickle back down. But I’m going to take it way up there. Come on, dude. All right. Not too shabby. Not too shabby. We’ll take that. After this one goes in, I’ll [Music] No freaking way. As an instructor, what would you instruct you right now on the putting there? No, the first couple holes I pushed it. Yeah, that one I hit a good putt. I thought I made it the whole way. Actually, you can hit good putts that don’t go in. Can’t teach at the end of the day. Yeah, I mean that comes from me not ever playing any golf lately, I think. So, give us a rundown. So, you’re at Georgia, then you transferred to NC State and kind of give us a fast forward from when you went to NC State to what you’re doing now. So, NC State once I graduated, I took a year off from golf. I had torn up my shoulder and so I took a year away from golf and then played professionally for 2 years. lost all my money to guys like kids. I ended up catting on the cornfairy tour for a couple years after that and then I got into teaching in 2011. I went to work for Jim Mlan out in Texas. That’s a great last name. Worked for him and then an opportunity opened up here to move back close to home and basically run my own place. How do you turn this down? The Lake Okone, eight courses, beautiful resort, amazing training practice facility. Yeah. I mean, we live in a bubble here. Couldn’t decide between a six or a seven, but I’m going to go with a seven. Just got to get one on the green. It would be awesome if I’m on the same tier. This is like a crazy three tiered green if you saw in our last video. But that’s a that’s that’s dangerous. That’s a lot. I really All right. Send it, dude. It’s up to you, man. But then if I chunk it like I usually do, I’ve got a different distance. So it’s like, do I play my good contact distance or my chunk distance? So I’m going to go with a good contact distance and see what happens. Okay, I’ll come down the hill. Oh, did it get hung up? Yeah, dude. Fine. That works. I’m going to go eight iron, too, and try to play a little bit long and maybe can get a little spinach back. A move with this left bunker and kind of let it fade back. Oh, baby. Oh, go in the hole, please. Go. On. Yeah, let’s go. Logan says it’s got to go on the green. Good shot, dude. I don’t know if you’re on or not. I think I’m short. I don’t think you’re on. So, we got 130 to the hole. We’re going to do a little creek club special here. I’m going to play it past the flag, land it on the fringe, and let it come back. So, I’m going to try and hit this like 130 135 yards. Little pitching wedge. See if we can make them yell up at the green here. Right at it. Oh, is that going to roll back on? Oh my gosh. Oh no. We got too far left. Oh, that was exactly how I wanted to hit that. Oh, I just went a little too much left. That was really good, though. I mean, we got the same same distance, put, but we’re fine. Look, we took this one off the hill back here. I was trying to get it right if these sprinkler heads landed just left. Else, I probably would have come right to the hole. They’ve got to try and get up and down. We just saw what they did with their short game on the last hole. Have you uh have you played Augusta National? Yeah. I want your opinion. This is a viral moment in our podcast. If Connor played the Members TE, would he break 90? That’s not the question. Out of 10 times, out of 10 times, would he break 90? That’s not the question either. The question is, let me But that’s not the thing. He’s making me look that because you said, “Could he break 90?” And I said, “No, he could not break 90.” My question was, “Could I break 90?” Not, “Would I could I break 90 out of 10 times?” I don’t think you could. After the first couple times that you play it, too, you know kind of what the greens do. Like the first time pro, no. What’s funny is both of the pro golfers we’ve asked, him and Brady, both agreed that I could do it. Maybe they feel sorry. They just feel bad for him. Go in. Go in. Go in. Why? How does it not go in? That’s great. That got my heart rate up a little bit there. All right, we’re going to chip this in. Oh, put it. You saw the line, bro. Chip. You go ahead and put yourself down for par if you want. It really is automatic car at least. That’s two holes in a row. They are going to be cooked. So, we’re going to see if we can get I don’t know, three or four more birdies. Three more birdies the rest of the way and we’ll be good to go. We’ll get some cash in our pocket. All right. It’s right at the little pot bunker right in the middle there. All right.
