I’m no expert and I’m terrible, but it looks like your swinging very out to in, which is causing a slice spin on the ball. The main two causes for a slice are an out to in swing path, or an open clubface when you strike the ball. I can’t tell what your clubface is doing, but try to get your swing more straight back and straight through vs your out to in path.. But I’m awful an probably have no idea what I’m talking about…

towel under right arm drill for a couple hours at the range

  3. Too close and over the top. Back up and get that right elbow tucked in to your hip.

Your shaft looks too steep on the downswing. Your shaft angle should be 90 degrees to your spine angle during the downswing

  5. I’ve had success correcting mine by turning my wrists slightly downwards on the down stroke and then “rolling” my right forearm towards my left forearm after striking the ball.

Swing more in to out (towards right field) and have the face point more left when you hit the ball. Basically go and try to hit a push hook and work your way back

Tuck your left elbow in a bit more on the down swing. I had the same problem and it fixed it 💯

    Over the top slice.

Need to swing in to out to 1 o’clock position.

Try to slice it. I know it sounds nuts, but humor me…

Don’t chop wood (over the top) Chop the tree (across and over)

You have a flat shoulder turn and then swing your right shoulder out and over the ball from the top. Sends your entire path out to the left meaning you can only hit slices or pulls.

TPI has a video on how to see if you have the flexibility to separate your lower body from your upper body. I would think you do. Next step would be to lead the downswing by getting that lead hip moving without yanking your shoulders around. That’s how you neutralize the path and start hitting straighter

Back up and that’s an aggressive back swing. Straight up almost.

Path out to in, and Face wide open. People already posted the drills and things you can do, just wanted to confirm that this is in fact why ball go slice.

  14. You look too upright to me. I was dealing with an unplayable slice and had a similar setup as you do. I have been focusing on bending my upper body to 45° and it has helped tremendously.

Weight looks all in front of on backswing. Need weight towards back. Cock the cannon bro

Turn your top hand so you can see your first 2 knuckles. A slice is an outside swing to the ball you need an inside swing to the ball. Tuck that elbow.

Your take away is IMMEDIATELY away from your body and you are too close to the ball

Back up from the ball focus on an inside to out swing path. Start your down swing by bringing your back hip forward and dropping your lead hip back, and try to feel like you are bringing the butt of the club over your right pocket.

Hips first, then drop the hands through. You don’t have room to get close to your body to generate power without getting the hips through first.
