Paige Spiranac has made a name for herself as one of the most prominent figures in golf media, combining instructional content with a strong social media presence. Yes, that is the very definition of “influencer.”

But the former college golfer isn’t afraid to speak out when something doesn’t sit right — and in 2025, it’s the state of online content that’s drawing her ire.
Spiranac, who played collegiately at Arizona and San Diego State, took to social media this week to express frustration with the push for constant posting across platforms.
“I dislike how all social media platforms are prioritizing quantity,” she wrote. “I keep seeing posts about how you should be posting 20+ times per day, every single day to grow and honestly I just think that’s overkill for the creator and also for the consumer.”
Known more for her lighthearted takes and golf tutorials than for stirring the pot, Spiranac suggested she’s held back lately. Of course, that may be changing.
“I used to run my mouth on here whenever I felt like I needed to speak out but lately I’ve just been choosing peace lol,” she posted. “However, I’m feeling a little feisty today and might need to say something.”
Whether that “something” is aimed at a fellow content creator, the golf world, or broader social trends remains to be seen. But for one of the most followed voices in the game, it may just be the calm before the swing.
With Spiranac, we will almost certainly find out soon enough.
