Hot, dry weather has prompted a temporary smoking ban at a city golf course starting today.
Bally Haly Country Club posted the news to social media last night, saying smoking will be banned out side of three designated areas: starter huts, canteen areas, and select clubhouse locations. They say water buckets will be available in each location for safe disposal.
The club says the measure is a proactive step to reduce the risk of fire and thanked firefighters, first responders, and volunteers working to protect communities.
