not many people know this about the driver swing but it can dramatically influence your performance your hands should be their fastest quite early in the down swing about here after that they slow down which allows the club head to release adding speed and also Square the face if you’re trying to accelerate your hands through impact like I’m demonstrating here many golfers are trying to do this you’re robbing yourself of power and the club face is likely to delivered open we don’t really want that so grab yourself a couple of alignment sticks take your regular set up as if it’s a golf club and the job here is to accelerate your hands early but then more importantly slow them down that then creates the bend like this in your alignment stick and that’s the little exercise that we’re after so up to the top accelerate super aggressively and then break put the brakes on as hard as you can that’s the best way to get the speed from your body and your arms out into the club head it’s going to give you maximum power but also maximum accuracy as well

  1. looks a pull down from the top – never a good idea. Lower body should be driving the the arms down. Just watch Tiger Woods.

  2. This is not useful. Rather just focus on the lower body transitioning through the golf swing and the hands will automatically follow at the correct speed.

  3. 99% of amateurs are gonna end up developing a massive de-cell with this theology…. comon man 🙄

  4. Not a fan of this cueing as I feel it would lead to a lot of players casting or hooking as many would stop their hands but their hands will continue and turn over before contact.

I would think more to swing but make an effort to point your thumbs at the front of the ball or pretend your trying to hit your club face flush on an imaginary wall that’s perpendicular to your line just at or in front of the ball.

  5. You start fast, slow down in between, and accelerate—all that in less than .25 seconds. I won't be able to do that.

  6. Speed it up, slow it down half way, then speed it up again through impact. And, btw, do all that in 1.5 second. Good luck.

  7. Swing hands fast from top, then slow them down? Still struggling to understand that. In the video, I don’t see your hands slowing down at all..
