Kyle Connor scored a hole-in-one during his medalist effort Tuesday, highlighting Riverside’s 159-177 victory over Mountain View in a Lackawanna Golf League Division II match at Rock Creek Golf Course.

Connor aced the ninth hole, playing from the 121-yard white tee, using a 56-degree wedge. It was the first career hole-in-one for the Vikings senior.

“It was 115 to the pin and I knew a sand wedge would be a little short,” Connor said. “I hit it well and it just happened to roll right on up and drop in. The guys we were playing with from Mountain View told me that it dropped in. We all ran to the green, looked in the hole and it was in there. It was pretty cool. We were all excited.

“I’ve been close a couple times, but that was the first to drop in. It feels awesome, there’s no other way to put it. It feel great. A nice way to end (my round), for sure.”
