🔥 Cam Davis just pulled off the shot of the year at Pebble Beach—and we’re breaking it down step by step! From his low hands to his knee flex and steep swing plane, we’ll analyze how he hit a high, spinning wedge off the tree roots to a short-sided pin.
Cam works with PGA TOUR Coach Ralph Bauer, the founder of this channel, and his ability to control ball flight in extreme situations is no accident.
⛳ Key Takeaways:
✅ Knee flex for stability
✅ Low handle for loft
✅ Steep backswing for control
✅ Hands forward to prevent wrist injury

so we all saw it we all were Amazed by it now let’s break down Cam Davis who hit the shot of the Year yesterday at 18 at Pebble Beach for those who didn’t see he was stuck in the eucalyptus tree roots here on 18 by the tree and he’s got to go over the bunker to a short-sided pin in less than ideal condition so the first thing you’re think going to notice about his setup is how he’s got a tremendous amount of knee Flex here which helps him stay low and get close to the golf ball but also because he has to hit it high and with a lot of spin he lowers his handle down here so instead of having a high handle to hit a low shot he’s got his hands down and when he takes his backs we watch the Tracer here his golf club goes right up that shaft line goes Club stays outside his hands going back and it goes straight up it’s a very steep back swing but also pay close attention it’s a very long back swing it’s not a really big shot but because he’s got to hit it with such an open Club face and such a glancing blow while also not hurting his wrist he makes a very long back swing and then as he comes down the club comes right down the same plane he does a tremendous job maintaining deflex all the way into the golf ball we see gets down a little bit lower Let Me Clear these lines out gets into the golf ball there and if you watch closely where his hands exit from here’s it impact and there it is just post impact and then they’re in front of his body over here now this is doing two things one it’s making sure he doesn’t break his wrist on one of these tree roots and ruin his season by making by damaging himself but to it also helps the club cut across it to create more Spin and in this case hit it with more height too it’s almost like he’s hitting a bunker shot when you watch him swing back it’s a big long swing very high and then throws the club underneath it to hit a perfect high launching and high spinning shot which is a very difficult shot to hit it’s not only launching high but it’s spun like crazy as you see in the viral CP the ball stopped very quickly so if you find yourself in tree roots a take a drop don’t break your WR but if you need to hit a high soft spinning one we want to have lots of KNE Flex oops lost knee Flex low handle and a big swing to cut across it with to makes some Spin and some height at the same time you might not hit the most viral shot of the year but you could hit a shot that impress your buddies
