cold plunges, sauners, uh all of the recovery work that a 45 year old needs and I think the commitment to that plus the way that he professionally commits to his golf swing and and his fitness and everything else is uh in the right place as you mentioned Ned at the 128 yds to a back left flag and that was professionally done. Saw Justin Rose finish up with that miss a moment ago. This at 12 for three in a row and five of six in that stretch. Yeah, just turned 45 a week ago. Superb putter control and I’ll find the fairway. Rosie at the par 516. That should be close to the left side of the fairway. See if that finishes. Maybe in the wrap. It’s going to be in the rough. That came straight down. Here comes Justin Thomas. Justin Rose his third at 16. That looked a little stuck under just slightly right. Good shot question. You know, it really is. Justin Rose gets the six under. Hit it. Oh my goodness. Oh, does he know that that went in? Yeah. Yeah. So, I was coming off my first bogey at number five or first bogey of the day and um obviously hit the fairway here which obviously gives you an opportunity to to go at this back left pin. Um it was kind of like a I was trying to stretch out a 52° but because it was a back left pin I can we’ll talk about throughout the top 50. The pressure every day of trying to get inside the top 50 move out out to seven. Justin Rose. Yeah. Trying to follow up that 600 par round yesterday. Yeah, good birdie there at typically a pretty tough par4 the seventh lows for birdie to get it to eight under just from on the fringe going up the hill. Yes, we rose his second at 10. Right where you want to drive it here. There’s trees on each side of this fairway that pinch the fairway the farther you hit it down. There’s a creek out there as well, so players don’t always have to drive. Look at this release and get down close. It was a golf shot. That man’s correct. A tough hole location way in the back of the screen up on that top tier. You heard him a few moments ago. We saw that social media post really eyeing that top 30. The par three measuring today 170 yards. Yeah. And for these guys, I mean, it’s a big nine or a chippy eight. That’s an excellent shot by Rose. Just a tiny little draw in there. You got to be careful. Having a good day with approach and great there. He’s averaging 16 ft 8 in to the hole on approach shots today. That is fantastic. And suddenly Justin is the closest pursuer to his fellow Englishman. Little wind at Justin Spack. Just looking to launch something up into the air. What a beautiful flight there. Quick to pick the tea up. Super T- shot. Well done. Two good ones. There is some weather off in the distance. Hopefully it stays there. Happy. It’s a perfect angle, too. Looks clean strike. This is on the good line towards the center of the green, it appears. So short of these greens now. This used to be an approach Bermuda grass. Now there. Well, this one can’t be outside the hole. Inside right center. Nice. Yeah, good birdie. Hit the fairway here at the 16th hole. Definitely a hole you have to take advantage of. This ball needs to again have a friendly first bounce. That is huge. 6 in more and into the primary cut. That’d be a layup. This is on the line with the center of the green. Appears to be well hit. Boy, is that any good right there. Even where it’s going to end up, that is a super shot. And the door is open. Let’s see what Justin Rose does here from off the green. Very unhappy with the contact. Yeah, not going to be happy at all with that. Oh, that is huge. So that is a threeshot swing there in that final group. Fleetwood with a double. Rose climbs to 11 under par. Now just one back after that birdie. holding a draw up against the left to right wind. And just to follow up on that, I was looking at his radar just earlier this morning. He’s he’s averaging. It would give him a share of the lead. Putting back up the hill into the wind. Dial it up from long distance. Justin Rose is now at 1200 par and Tommy Flewood has company. How about right over that that corner would be perfect. This is right of where he wants it. Needs a soft bounce. Smart trace technology, Kurt. Yeah. So, it starts off blue. It projects whether it’s going to be in the fairway. It turns green if it thinks it is. And it getting after it. What a shot. That’ll be two consecutive birdies for Rose. Never left the flag stick. He hit it inside of him. It is a rider a cup year. Very well said. Justin loves it. stayed green. The co-leader trying to keep the pressure on his fellow countryman Tommy Fleetwood, but trying to hit a draw center of the green. Actually more at it now. Boy, is he swinging it good. Meticulous, professional, precise. Just such a good golf swing. total confidence that he could play that tiny little draw in there. When you’re trying to play a draw back left, this was just money. Turned over just enough. That’ll be left with three straight birdies. He of course burning amen corner. Oh yeah. 45year-old leads by two on a balmy Saturday in Memphis. Justin Rose out front at the bird get the first couple days. [Music] That is perfect line right there on the 16th. Get on top to give you the whole view. Doesn’t he look in sync? Yeah, that that was a really nice looking swing. This is another good line for Justin. Let’s see if it gets there. Oh man, he was aiming at the FedEx logo and he delivered. I mean, he just reset. He just got the target in mind again and he visualized this whole thing. And now he’s got a great look at Eagle. Starting to act like Jordan Speed today with all his reactions out there telling to this ball and himself. Two putt birdie it’ll be for Rose and he still might pick up one here his way. Don’t forget Scotty Sheffler the way he’s talking to himself [Music] does not like the line. He’s in the red and so that is going to be a miss fairway. take the slope down to the hole. [Music] Kind of like that. What a shot by Rose. That was a great shot and well judged. See that line? He’s got it almost dead in the center of the hole. Got it. What a 33 for Rose to end the Saturday. Thank you. Thank you. [Applause] Good looking shot. Is it ever through the dog barking? That’s what Rose does. Could be a tap in. I think we’re going to get him off the birdie snide there, Dan. We got a three-way tie at the top. coming in trying to take dead aim with a little draw. There you go. Great shot, man. Looks like it’s going to be a birdie for Rose. He’s really done some good bouncebacks. We mentioned the nine yesterday coming off the water. He ended up finishing really strong. Tap in for Rose and he is back within one of Sheffler and Spawn. Very aggressive play. Just a hair left of it. What a shot by Rose. Now is the time after that spectacular cut sixironir. Justin Rose won’t go away. Clutch birdie at the second toughest hole at TPC Southwind. Just two back. A few far enough left on that line there. Everybody’s missed that putt, right? 15 bones. What about the angle for Rose? It’s a good angle, but he’s got mud on his ball from 110. He’s got to read this one perfectly in terms of how the ball curves. And that’s a heck of a jump. Oh, he did it. And he did. Remember yesterday he had to draw it around, hit it over the green. Not done yet. Justin Rose, what a player. 30 since 2019. He wants to get back there. A little bit of left to right center cut. He’s only hit six fairways today to hit this one. And that’s he’s for a guy that’s 45 years old. He’s got a lot of ball speed that uphill. hitting a hard draw but bringing the sand into play. Wow, that was so good. He hit it too good. Too good. What a run by Rose. Many driver with some helping wind. This is a draw right up to right center. Beautiful looking shot. Smart trace in green. Yeah, center of the fairway for this man. Another beautiful swing by Justin Rose. A lot of players don’t use driver here cuz at the end of the fairway it’s down eight iron from 181 playing aggressively again just a little left of it. Good line. That’s a better side to miss on than a few of the players that have been on that short right. That’s it. And he does. Four in a row. Justin Rose to 16 under. What an incredible P. Bold effort. aggressive watching it anxiously. Perfect. What a drive right there. Not sure if he was trying to hold that one up left or right, but it’s beautiful. Now right the flag. Oh man, is that in good position to win the golf tournament. And that’s what we’re going to have. That came pretty close. Looking for five in a row to close it out. It was close, but it just kind of drifted to the right now to officially get another playoff with JJ Spawn. Back at this 18th hole, this starts left at where he wants it. Will it carry? It doesn’t look good. It’s in the red bones. Oh, but it clears. Is it going to stay? Barely. It’s going to be just like get not only in the fairway, but safely on dry ground. I thought I heard him say it’s fine to Fooch there. But just gains his balance. His right of the hole. And he knows what that ball does. Looks pretty similar. Almost identical. Swing here. It, you know, was again less than stable after he hit it here. Kids, he kind of wobbles a little bit. It ended up being okay. I thought he’d have a much more difficult time, but since he had driver had such a shorter yardage in, he could hit short club. Amazing how much spin and control he got on that distance control. Perfect. [Applause] How close can you get? Wow. Rose and Spawn next month. some two golden opportunities for Rose to win the golf tournament. He likes this one a lot. No doubt about that one, Bones. That was in the green the entire way. And Justin Rose has the advantage out there with a driver. Good looking shot. Yeah, this time he’s closer. Right below the hole. [Applause] Clutch all the way for Justin Rose. You see Gary Young in the PGA Tour again reminding the guys that it’s going to be a different hole location. So, they’ve worn this one out. They finally figured it out. Now they’re going to change. Needs to hang on. It’s hanging on and it’s in the fairway. Landed soft enough. He He hung that one out. Win held it up. Good contact. Oh man, who’s going to blink? These guys are throwing darts. Just absolutely flush by Rose as well. Fun watching two elite players on their game. [Music] Yep. First in in a third playoff hole on the new hole location, but the same result for Rose. Love the speed that went in. You see it hit the back of the hole in this. No. And Justin Rose is a playoff winner again. So Rose who had that electric birdie chase down the stretch. exchange birdies with JJ at the previous playoff hole. Knocks in another one to put it away. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour. For more, click here. To subscribe, click here.
