Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is fully committed to becoming a professional golfer after her college career at Miami.

In August 2024, Kai announced her verbal commitment to play college golf at the University of Miami. She is set to enroll in 2026 to continue pursuing her passion for golf, a sport she’s loved ever since picking up a club at just two years old.

While Kai also creates content for her millions of social media followers, there’s no mistaking her primary ambition: turning pro in golf.

Kai Trump told Fox News Digital, “Yeah, it is. 100%,” when discussing her future after college and her recent NIL partnership with Accelerator Active Energy.

With one year of high school remaining, Kai is focused on preparing herself to contribute to the Miami Hurricanes golf team. She knows the key to improving is gaining experience and practicing hard.

“Just playing a lot of events, just gaining experience,” Kai explained. “But also practice. If I have two hours, I’m not gonna hit a few balls, go on my phone and scroll. No, I’m going to take full-on advantage with the time I have on the course.

“I think that’s going to get me to the next level for sure, as well as just training in the gym, getting stronger and playing more rounds.”

Choosing Miami was a strategic decision, as Kai believes the program will help her reach the professional tours she dreams of joining.

“The more golf I play, the better I’ll do. Getting experience. Miami gave me a great opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to that,” she said.

Kai’s competitive spirit runs deep, especially when she’s on the course. She describes it as a drive “you can’t really teach,” something she attributes partly to family influence.

“I don’t know, it might just be a family gene or something,” she said with a smile. “Yeah, on the course, that’s something you can’t really teach. But I just have a very competitive side to me, especially having brothers and a big family. You have to be competitive sometimes.”

Being competitive is vital for Kai as she eyes a future on the pro tour.

In today’s NCAA landscape, college athletes can profit from their personal brand, and Kai has built an impressive following thanks to her social media presence.

She recently partnered with Accelerator Active Energy, becoming the brand’s first golf NIL partner and also an equity partner.

Accelerator is well known for launching “The Livvy Fund” with former college gymnastics star Livvy Dunne to support female college athletes. Alongside Livvy, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is also an equity partner.

In a presidential-themed video, Kai addressed “fellow Americans and content creators” to announce the partnership — an opportunity she’s clearly excited about.

“It’s pretty cool, especially being partners with such great athletes and being up there too with them,” she said.
