  1. I have a Kirkland driver that I bought new in the box off EBay for $137. It’s probably not the best driver I’ve ever used, but it’s definitely serviceable. My gamer is a Ping G400 LST. I have not really used another driver that’s better for me than the Ping.

  2. Great video James. I enjoyed the on course numbers section more because you showed us actual ball flights and numbers on course. Very good .

  3. Feel like you missed the opportunity to hit a Kirkland ball with the Kirkland driver and a vice ball with the vice driver

  4. James I am loving you more and more mate just to hear you say I don't care shut up go away to all the Negative Nancys in the comments love it

  5. Are Takomo redesigning their fairway woods as well? The 3, 5, & 7 fairway woods have been out of stock for weeks. The email I received from Takomo was vague at best, regarding the future availability of these clubs.

  6. Personally I don't ever think it's worth buying these types of drivers "online" even with an online fitting, if you aren't getting fit properly you are much better off buying a used "premium" driver, usually 2 years old is a great price point. I don't know if you can get fit for these, guessing not, but that would be the game changer value wise. You won't lose much if you don't get on with a 2 year old driver (and despite the marketing departments best efforts, drivers are not really getting any better). The other option is to wait until these are available used in a year a so and they will be great value then 😉 To be fair not much is going to out perform the Sim2 / Sim2Max at any price point!

  7. Picked up a kirkland for $90 canadian for my daughter, and it plays really well and consistent, just not as long as my TSR3.

  8. You should now go to a used sports store and pick up a driver or 2 that are worth the same as these dtc drivers and test to see if they are comparable.

  9. G430 max is like $50 more than the vice…

What I'm hoping is that the DTC brands pull down some of the outrageous prices of the OEM's. It won't, but we can hope

  10. I bought a used Kirkland for £160 still in the box missing the wrench.
Found the extremely high launching and spiny. Fitted a KBS stiff shaft tipped at 44.5" Plays away better.
However it a cheaper head no were near a well made as the SIM2, sound is fine max carry I get is 250-60yards.
I get 270+ yards from my Seven driver.. its the opposite low spin, low launch changed to a 45gram A flex, which is mad to obtain mid flight.

  11. Kirkland is the obvious choice from a cost/performance perspective, going by the numbers being so close for all three. The added incentive with the Costco driver is the return policy, and the fact it's about a hundred bucks cheaper.

  12. But as quickly as golf companies discount their equipment, I think the best way to save money is to buy last year’s model

  13. Very interesting video by you James really decent middle of the road comparisons that will suit a majority of people. I personally liked the vice driver, there seemed more to it with the looks etc&it sounded nice too don't think 1 or 2 yards with the others was a real difference! May I say the video today was a lot better than the comparison yesterday with the taylormade & Titleist irons! Everybody knows they are at the top of there game with quality etc nice to see the mid ground options out there 👍😊

  14. By the quick glimpse of the side of the ball, it appears you're using a Callaway Supersoft ball. Freeze it at 6:26 that is definitely a Supersoft alignment mark from the 2023 ball.

  15. The best value, one year old driver, has to be the Cobra Darkspeed X. I paid £220 and it has a Kai'li shaft. Looks great, sounds FANTASTIC, and it fires absolute bombs!
I got it on the basis of your review, and I think you should give it another look sometime. Love the content, by the way!

  16. My only issue is, you dont bag any of these yourself, as i wouldnt. Agree they are great value, and if thats important definitely consider them; i prefer to be fitted so wouldn’t consider them. And as someone else suggests, major brands discount quickly, so its possible to get fitted for a major brand cheaply

  17. Got a Kirkland last year and didn't like it at first. Adjusted it a few times and got settled in one setting. Played a few weeks ago and had my best driving round for both distance and accuracy in 30 years I've been playing. I'm still a high handicap but my driver wasn't the issue for once!

  18. OK, I get that your videos emphasize club reviews. But if your conclusion is "go and see which one works for you" (as opposed to a recommendation) then what is the point of your reviews? Clearly I can just check them out for myself without having any preference one way or another. I much prefer you "take a stand" in your conclusions. Thanks/MG

  19. Ben Hogan has released a new driver as well for 2025. Have you tested it?
It is a PTX model. There is a Low Spin model as well.

Great video, excellent content, especially model us normal people or tight asses might purchase! Lol

  20. For the price of the Vice or takomo you can get a dark speed or the Mizuno driver. I think even PXG and Ping have last year's under 300.
Both better options with more options.

  21. The best that money can buy for a right handed golfer only. At least the irons from tokomo and vice come in southpaw. 😊

  22. It's funny really, I have a TM Rocketballs 2 circa 2013 a performance reward so cost me nowt. I also have a PXG 800 bought during covid lockdown and it was half price they where desperate to shift stock. Honestly the tm I love the pxg I use as its 12 degrees and helps me when my swing speed is down when my 76 year old body is suffering with arthritis but these 3 sound very good at a realistic price range

  23. Your title comment "Be careful spending money" does not seem to fit this review. Given the club choices you selected, if I wanted to test all three I would first have to BUY them all from separate sources (at something over $1000). Even if I decided to keep/use one of them, what would I do with the other two?? This was/is a weird combo to review. Thx/MG

  24. What is the name and brand of the ball tracker device used in the video?

  25. Regarding the Kirkland Irons being available in the US…..YES THEY ARE! I live in Melbourne FL and saw them in our local Costco!!!
