Tiger Woods and Amanda Balionis bid emotional farewell to golf legend leaving PGA Tour

Tiger Woods, Amanda Balionis bid emotional farewell as Ian Baker Finch retires from CBS Golf Broadcasting. Golf broadcasting legend Ian Baker Finch called time on his storied career Sunday during the final round of the Windham Championship. After nearly three decades behind the mic, including iconic calls of Tiger Woods’s 2019 Masters win and Adam Scott’s 2013 triumph, Baker Finch signed off for the last time. Tiger Woods paid tribute, writing, “Congrats, Finchy, for 30 incredible years behind the microphone. Thanks for the memories.” Amanda Balionis, visibly emotional on CBS, said, “I’m going to miss the dad jokes, the smiles, and your kindness every weekend.” The 1991 Open champion, who joined CBS in 2007 after a successful playing an early broadcast stint with ABC and ESPN, reflected on the relationships he built more than the tournaments themselves. Though retiring from broadcasting, the 64year-old Aussie isn’t walking away from golf entirely. He now turns his focus to course design. A legendary voice may be stepping away, but Ian Baker Finch’s impact on the game will echo for generations.
