Popular golf influencer and social media personality Paige Spiranac recently shared a rare glimpse into her private life during an Instagram Q&A. When asked about her current relationship status, she revealed why she continues to shield her dating life from public view.

“So, I was previously married,” Spiranac, who recently went on a tirade against the “dumbest” PGA Tour rule, began, referring to her marriage to athletic trainer Steven Tinoco, which ended in divorce in 2022. She explained: “I got married young, and when it didn’t work out, I decided that I was never, ever, ever, ever going to share my personal life online ever again.”

The decision stemmed from the flood of malicious messages she received following the split: “Still, to this day, many years later, the amount of messages that I get that are horrible and harassing about a previous relationship just really made up my mind that I was never going to publicly talk about that side of my life, friends or family, ever again.” It comes after she shared the spotlight with her mystery boyfriend at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party celebration in May 2024.

Spiranac emphasized that keeping her romantic life private isn’t about safeguarding her influence or maintaining follower interest, but protecting her mental health.

“It’s more for my mental wellbeing and my sanity,” she shared. “I am so vulnerable online, and I share so much about myself — I’m very open and honest — that I want to keep a little part of something to me, and that is just what I have decided to do.”

She added: “People would assume that it’s because ‘oh, guys follow you and you don’t want to lose your audience.’ No. Really this is just to protect my sanity, and I just never want to go through that again. Because if you never put anything online, you never owe anyone an explanation.”

While the 32‑year‑old influencer confirmed she currently has a boyfriend, she made it clear that few details would be shared publicly.

She previously revealed in 2023: “Yes, I do have a boyfriend. He works crazy hours and he works a lot so what we do is whoever is busier, the other person will pick up the slack.”

Spiranac also addressed the persistent rumors that she’s dated famous athletes. “Never been on a date with anyone famous,” she declared in April. “I’ve had pro athletes or famous people slide in my DMs. I’ve never dated anyone famous.”

She expressed frustration at being linked romantically to the likes of Tom Brady and Bryson DeChambeau simply because of collaborations or public appearances.

“It’s like any time I shoot content with a male celebrity, that’s the headline — or all of the comments — which can be really difficult for my job where I work in a male-dominated industry … It’s really frustrating because I’ve never dated anyone famous ever, not even close.”

In 2025, she’s refocused her efforts on building authentic content and pursuing new professional avenues, including her role in Netflix’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2.’ She described working with Adam Sandler as “one of the coolest experiences of my life,” praising his humility and kindness.
