A new indoor miniature golf venue is in the works for Loudoun County and it’s reportedly taking a prime spot that has been vacant for nearly two years now.

Putt Social Ashburn is planning on opening in the Loudoun Station development off Shellhorn Road – that’s right next to the Ashburn Metro station.

According to its nascent website, Putt Social is taking over the 12,000+ s.f. space that was previously an entertainment venue called The Zone.

Longtime readers may recall that The Zone closed suddenly back in 2023 after its owner passed away unexpectedly. The space has been vacant ever since.

Here’s how Putt Social Ashburn describes itself: “Get ready for the ultimate entertainment experience. Putt Social Ashburn delivers heart-pumping themed mini golf adventures, thrilling mini bowling action, classic arcade games, incredible food and craft cocktails, plus live DJ entertainment every weekend.”

While smaller in scale, Putt Social is at least the third indoor entertainment venue in the works for Loudoun.

As The Burn has been reporting, a huge billiards, bowling, laser tag, and restaurant venue called 810 Entertainment is under construction at the Dulles Town Center mall.

And just last month, a Texas-based company called Pinstack broke ground on a large new Dave & Busters-style entertainment space at the Kincora property.

No word yet on when Putt Social plans to open, so stay tuned.
