No lowballs, I know what I got

  2. Ordinary-Claim3990

Don’t worry about the spots in the middle, you can create new ones on the toe and heel like a normal person

Not a fan of the 9 iron apparently. We’ve all got that one club you just don’t like to hit as much as the others. That or he hit it so much he replaced it already.

Edit: The more I look at this (I’m waiting for a flight), I’m convinced the 9 and PW are newer club heads.  The hosel looks different than the other clubs.  I’m guessing he became a slight better ball striker, hence why the 8 has a larger wear area.

My man didn’t like his 9 iron.

We get. You are good at golf. Just give the clubs away as we all bask in your accurate glory.

Pfff guy was hitting hosel rockets with his 5i

  7. Kgwalter

Clubs are still brand new on the parts of the face I’m going to use.

  8. BigHeartAverageMeat

Approximately how many balls need to be hit per club in the same spot for this to happen

And he gets to be a lawyer, etc etc

Went to a Champions Tour event back in the 90’s, you could get really close to all the players. We were standing right next to one of the caddies while he and his player were waiting for someone to hit. My friend nudged me and said “Look at his irons”

Every single one was like that top iron in your picture, just no rust. Chrome had been worn off in a spot the size of a dime on every iron in the guy’s bag. Unreal.

Get a trophy made that says “I won golf.” I bet you could swap it straight up for those babies.

    Not everyone sucks at golf

  13. NoMajorsarcasm

Yes golf is a sick joke. 🥲

  14. Is it worth buying nice irons to get the club face refinished?

  15. jimmyharbrah

Legit question: why do some irons get these deep brown wear marks? I just got a new set of mizunos but had hit the same mizunos for like 20 years previously. I play a lot of golf and never saw these wear marks.

    Is it colored balls?

  16. morkler

My 8 iron had a perfect round brown spot in the center after hitting at the range yesterday. It was the only iron I took. It was a thing of beauty and I felt a bit sad cleaning it off. I aspire to have irons like this someday.

  17. Douggiefresh10

Dude did NOT trust his 9 iron.

  18. justinpwheeler

They clearly don’t like their 9-iron much, huh?

  19. TeRanginui

Who else tried to scroll through multiple pics?

  20. grolla42

I paid for the whole club and I’m gonna use the whole club face lol

  21. SteveLangfordsCock

Who does this guy think he is

  22. OkBall3431

Only took me 3x scrolling to the right to realize this was a screen shot.

  23. DeepSouthDude

It’s not just that the owner was a good player.

    Dude played a LOT!

I know guys who are decent players, shot in the high 70s/low 80s, but they only play weekly and their clubs don’t look anything like this.

This guy is good, he plays often, AND he has a high swing speed.

  24. RIPTonyStark

No but it was a few days ago when it was posted

  25. kokonut09

Serious question: Is there any worth to these irons? If you were trying to get rid of them, how would you go about getting some sort of value out of them?

Also, would it be worth giving to someone for free to see if they would enjoy the game? Or is the wear so bad that you think it would negatively impact their experience?

  26. Tally__Ho

Cleaning around the sweet spot lol

  27. 25% used, I’d have no trouble using the other 75%

  28. Gullible_Tea1427

Why would I buy those? All the sweet spot strikes have clearly been used up already

  29. Looks like clubs that were used for testing.
