The 17th edition of the World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament concluded last week at Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort, welcoming 40 father-daughter teams from around the world for a celebration of family, friendship, and spectacular links golf on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Hosted for the first time at Rosapenna, the event unfolded over three days of competition across three of Ireland’s most revered courses: Old Tom Morris Links, Sandy Hills Links, and St Patrick’s Links — currently ranked #49 in Golf Digest’s World Top 100 Courses.

More Than Just a Tournament
The week-long event included a welcome reception, live music, a Donegal whiskey tasting, and dinners at some of the region’s most renowned spots including Vardon Restaurant, Goose and Gander Restaurant, Harbour Bar, and the historic Olde Glen Bar. The social programme celebrated the very best of Irish hospitality and connected families from across the globe.

Roddy Carr praised the camaraderie and spirit of the players: “Having been part of this event for the past 17 years, it is without question the highlight of our year, playing golf with our daughters and spending time with friends and family. It was a joy to welcome so many new and returning families to Rosapenna this year.”
The sentiment was echoed by Golf Digest Editor Jerry Tarde, who played in the tournament with his daughter Sam:
“The magic, I learned from my rounds with Sam, is not about how much you play or where you play. It is all about who you play with.”
Looking Ahead to 2026
Next year’s tournament will return to Rosapenna from 20–24 July 2026, and registration is now open here.
