Team hot dog here. WTF does glizzy even mean? Who came up with that dumb shit?

I have never heard someone call a hotdog a glizzy in real life, only on the internet.

Where in the world other than parts of the US and by certain young people do people call hot dogs glizzys?
Very unique term globally

My brother and I say it sarcastically because we are old. You should see the faces when he orders a “glizzy” nice and louderly.

I love being part of the proper TurnDog generation– in between the goofballs calling it a glizzy and the other side that apparently can’t handle a group taking 6 minutes to eat between 4 hours of golf.

As long as the youth continues the long standing American tradition of enjoying hot dogs, I am ok with them calling a hot dog whatever they want.
yukonhoneybadger
My 14 year old daughter who plays with me calls it a turndog like I do. I would probably decline to pay for a glizzy..

I like this particular gen z slang. It’s fun to say, and one time there was this drunk kid I met in line at a late night hot dog stand downtown, and he ordered 3 hotdogs for himself. I was like damn bro you sure do love your glizzies (you know drunk and trying to sound hip). He told me “bro, I’m a glizzy GLADIATOR.”
