Hey guys, if you're like me, your natural move might be over the top, for years and years I've worked on this and tried to improve it and if I quit playing golf (for even a little bit) I'm immediately back to over the top when I pick up a club again. You can play good golf slightly over the top. And you can even hit a draw.

Now I'm not saying this should stop you from trying to fix your swing flaws but what I am saying is when we go out to the course we play golf and not golf swing. Sometimes we have to work with the swing we have. For a lot of you, this will almost guarantee that you hit the draw if you can even slightly square the club face.

This will help you stay out of trouble when you absolutely cannot miss right. Disclaimer, the longer the club the more difficult this is. So I would advise just trying this with your irons for now if it's something that interests you.

Nice set up, nice swing, great video. You’re nuking that 7iron, a lot of power in that swing and I’ve always been “drawn” (see what I did there) to the idea of changing the swing plane takeaway and hand path to shape a shot. One thing I’d add is the release, you have to release the clubhead in the direction you want the shot to go otherwise you’ll block it.

I like what you said about how some things just don’t work for every person. I hit a natural draw now, being that I used to come way over the top so I worked on doing the opposite. Sometimes now I’m too inside which I’m totally fine with. Either way, this will definitely help someone draw the ball!

This is how I hit a low sweeping hook. Taking it low and inside and bringing it back down the same line. My takeaway has always been a little on the inside anyway and my natural shot is a draw when I let it happen. Put that ball in the center of your stance and it works every time as long as the basic fundamentals are there.

It’s not that they are teaching how to hit a draw.. I believe this is more of drill to get the feeling to shallow the club from the top. It keeps new golfers from swinging all arms. Once you learn to get club in the slot your take away can vary.
