You might hear this a lot in the next couple of months, but boy does this feel like a big game. At the end of this one, Joe, the Blue Jays will be either two up or four up on the New York Yankees. The rubber match tonight features a great pitching matchup. Bassid at home this year, 7-0 with a 253 erra in in seven career starts versus the Yankees as well. He’s 4-1 with a 2.03 erra. He’s allowed three runs or less in each of his last five home starts. Ground ball right side. Oh, a diving play by Jimenez. The throw to first. Not in time. Gisham beat it out. What a play by Jimenez to even make that close. The Blue Chase are going to challenge right away. And to use your challenge this early in the game. They’ve got to be pretty sure that it’s going to go their way. And I think they’re going to win this one. After viewing the call, the field is overturned. The runner is out. Not enough. Hum. Just a routine 4-3 to start the ball game tonight. Hit it on the ground to short. Bette moves to his right, charges in Croh and toss over to first to end the inning. One, two, three for Bass in the first. Freed working on 10 days of rest because of that blister problem that he said is passed and he’s had a little history of these blisters. Four short IIL stints when he was with the Braves. Third time he has seen the Jays this year. He has a win and a no decision in his first two. And he cracks the first pitch to left center field. On the run is Gisham and he makes a beautiful running play for out number one. Well, Trent Gisham has gotten his sprints in already in this game. We know that he’s been nursing some leg issues all year. Just puts it in cruise control. Able to make the outstanding play. Here’s Vlad Guerrero Jr. had a good night last night. Went three for five. Swing and a miss. Cutter beat him. Nicely done by Max. His first strike out. One, two, three in the first. A little respect. So here is Dominguez. If you believe in do, he is. He’s over for his last 18. Good night to get him in the lineup if you’re Aaron Boone. Five for six in his career against Chris Basset. Drill to right field. Barger back turning looking. See youa a home run. What a way to break an 0 for 18. A solo shot. The Yankees on the board one- nothing. Home run number nine for Dominguez. And that is a big one to get him back on track. And I told you the numbers coming in against Bassid. Five for six. He’s now six for seven with a homer. For some reason, he sees the ball well out of Basset’s hand. Oswell PZA leads it off against Chris Basset. And a call goes Basset’s way. PZA didn’t like it. And I doubt Aaron Boon will either. And that’s a look that a manager can get from the side. He sees the height of that pitch crossing the chest of his hitter. Very fair argument from the Yankees manager. You don’t see this that often. Manny Gonzalez goes, “That’s my bad.” He knows he missed the call and that completely disarms the team, right? Yeah. What do you do if you’re Aaron Boon? You say, “Okay, here’s Miles Straw, the center fielder. His game is speed.” Fast ball hit up the middle. Jazz Chism on the backand jump throw, crosses body, dug out by Rice. Nicely done. Two down. Great play by Jazz. Straw thinks he’s safe. First base umpire Ron Kulpa calls him out on the field. Let’s see if they challenge. But that’s a nice play by Chisel. Some good defensive plays here early in the ball game. He has two for his last 20 hitting 091. Ground ball hit to Vulpi down on partial knee throws over in time and on the money to Rice. Nine up, nine down. Max Freed one- nothing lead Yankees here in Toronto. One blemish, the home run by Dominguez. Other than that, nothing for the Yankees. He hit Vulpi with a curveball that slipped out of his hand. That’s the only other base runner. There’s only been one hit in the game total. 3-2 cold strike three. Freezes Chisum on a sinker. That will do it for the inning. Chris Basset strikes out the side and now the Blue Jays have the top of the order coming up in the bottom of the fourth. Chris Basset’s been really good. Max Freed’s been great so far tonight. Nine up and nine down. Lined up the middle headed to center field sinking and down for a base hit. One hops into the glove of Gisham. Springer is the first Blue Jays base runner tonight. See if George can’t get this team going here against Max Free. Here’s Guerrero who struck out in the first. Guerrero lashes one down the left field line. Base hit bouncing softly into the corner. Springer around second. He’s headed to third. Loses his helmet as he gets the wave. George Springer dives into home plate and we’re tied. RBI double. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. It’s 1-1 in the fourth. Well, Vlad got his mistake. He got that elevated cutter and he ripped it past Oswald PZ at third base. George Springer comes barreling around second base. He’s thinking one thing. The number of 35year-olds who can routinely score from first on a double. That’s a pretty select group. There aren’t that many of them running around Major League Baseball right now. He’s winded and he deserves it. Moving well. Yeah. So, it’s a 20 pitch inning for Freed. And Scar goes out to give him a little bit of a rest. Two on, two out with Barger coming up and a ground ball to the left side. PZO with a diving stop and Barger is safe. A little bit of trouble getting rid of it and the bases are loaded. It is an infield hit for Barger. They’re loaded for Ernie Clement who hit a fly ball to center on the first pitch he saw his first time up. Lined over the middle into center field. Base hit. Flatty in to score. Kirk will stop at third as the throw goes back into Ben Rice. Blue Jays take the lead. So Canada Day, Max Freed, three hitless innings to begin the game and then the Blue Jays got four runs off him in the fourth. tonight. Three perfect innings to begin the game and they’ve got two runs off them here in the fourth and the base is loaded with two outs. Swing on off of Max’s right leg. PZA fields throws just got him. Great play by PZA. What reaction? Boy oh boy, what an inning that was. Eight men to the plate and Toronto puts two on the board. He continues to be under heat from Yankees Nation had been in a slump offensively. Here’s a highf fly ball left field. That backs up Snider on the track. It keeps going. It keeps going. It’s gone. Anthony Vulpi leaves the yard. Ties it at 2-2. 13th home run of the year. A solo shot for Anthony Bulpi. He must have got some great backspin on this fly ball. That ball just kept carrying. The Yankees answered back quickly here in the fifth. A four pitch walk to Schneider one out here in the fifth. The pitch in the dirt and a delayed go there by Schneider. And the Blue Jays are going to challenge. Oh, I think he got in there. He got that finger in for sure. I don’t know. He might have not blocked the base. I don’t know if it’s obvious enough, but he definitely got that that kind of left pinky finger in there. After review, the call on the field is overturned. The runner is saved. The replay room is having a heck of a night tonight. Two for two. Boy, all of a sudden, Max Freed’s command is starting to elude him. And you mentioned he looked down at his index finger earlier this inning. remember he had a blister problem in his last start. We don’t know if it’s bothering him again. Second and third, one out. The middle infielders are still backed up and a little bouncer towards third. Schneider coming to the plate and he’s safe. And now Springer coming in behind him. And somehow the Blue Jays get two runs out of that. Freed is a gold glover. He is a fantastic defender. He decided to fire at home. They may have had a shot at Snyder, but Escara could not hold on to the baseball as it took off out of his glove. And subpar defensive teams. We’ll show you why they are subpar defensive teams eventually. So, a good start for the Yankees here in the six. They catch a break. So, they’ve got a runner at third, one out, and Judge coming up. And now, what is John Schneider’s decision going to be in terms of whether or not they pitch to Judge? And it looks like they’re going to let Mass pitch to Judge. That one is driven into right center field. Long run for Straw. He turns, looks, and that ball is gone. A two-run home run for Judge to tie the game at four. A bullet to right center. Just what the Yankees needed. 352 career home runs out of sixth in franchise history for Aaron Judge. And a big one. They’ve intentionally walked him more than any other team in baseball this year. twice in this series, seven times this season, but elected not to and it cost him. An absolute gift from the baseball gods. Cody Bellinger lost the baseball in right field and Ernie Clement picks up a triple down the left field line. A fair ball and Miles Straw delivers with a huge RBI double to give the Blue Jays the lead. A go-ahead RBI double in the sixth. It’s 5-4 Blue Jays. And that’ll do it for Max Freed. You hope that that blister has not been an issue again because he’s had 10 days off and if it cropped up again, it’s something to be concerned about. Miles Straw into third with two outs. And another pinch hitter, Will Wagner is going to bat for Davis Schneider. Hit hard on the right side on the ground. Bobbled at first by Rice. Wagner sprints through the bag. He’s safe trying to score. Another Yankees error brings in a Blue Jays run. Yankees not exactly putting on a clinic defensively. That brings up Anthony Bulpi and strike three called another pitch that appeared to be high the second time tonight. Pitching coach. Yeah, that’s what Manny Gonzalez just said. I think Matt Blake got kicked out of the game. And now now Boon is on out. Now Gonzalez is going to hear it as this is getting really hot right now. If you’re Aaron Boon, you’re hoping that’ll fire the boys up in the dugout a little bit. Try to give the Blue Jays a finish here. And it’s kicked around by Dominguez. That will be the fourth error on the Yankees in this game. The Yankees have more errors than they have hits tonight. All three hits are homers, but they’ve committed four errors. You need to hit a lot of homers to overcome that shoddy defense. It has haunted them tonight. Bashette lofts it left field and deep. Dominguez sprinting back, runs in a room, it’s good. See you later for Bo Bashette. A two-run homer and the Blue Jays are doubling up the Yankees 8 to four. Again, the defense hurts the Yankees. Three of the eight runs unearned tonight. Chris Basset is out to at least begin the eighth inning. This is the first time this season Chris Bassid will throw a pitch in the eighth inning of the game. Bounced up the middle on the run. Clement back hands jump throw across his body to first in time. And that was the plan. Just the one batter. And now John Schneider is out to take the ball from Chris Basset who is about to get quite possibly the biggest ovation he has gotten in his three years as a member of the Blue Jays. Here you go. Back-to-back base hits. He got into the Blue Jay bullpen and the big man comes up to the plate. Well, and that’s where those runs come in handy. It’s a fourrun lead. The tying run is standing on deck, not in the batters box. Hit on the ground to short. Bette waits on it. Throws to second one. Clement snaps a throw to first in time. Double play. Judge thinks he was safe. New York’s challenge in the out first base. Nice turn from Ernie Clement. Quick hands, quick feet. He’s safe at first base. It might be too close to overturn though. I mean, it’s razor thin if he beat it. Have to review to call field in second. The runner second is out. The runner at first. Call is out. So they challenged both. Both were upheld. It’s a double play. Top of the ninth inning and the Blue Jays three outs away from winning this series and taking a four-game lead at top the American League East. Lift it to left center. Straw jogging to reel it in. He makes the grab and the Blue Jays win it 8-4. It’s a great day to be a Toronto Blue Jay as they take the series from the Yankees and the season series goes with them as

Mordecais vs the rigbys let's goooo!🔥🔥
I love how the pitcher @7:06 just stands there in foul territory and doesn't cover home plate while Springer runs home to score. Talk about a lack of situational awareness.
Dodger scouts all said it: Yankee errors win games for opponents. Just get the ball in play and watch.

This team has a special chemistry and you can see it, through out every player and coach, there is an unstoppable believe in themselves and the fans. Truly inspiring Guerrero Reminds me of Carter.
Blue Jays win their July world series gz 😂
The Yankees aren’t just struggling defensively, they’re stuck in “The Legacy Trap.”
Chasing the ghost of 27 rings has turned into a burden instead of a motivation. That constant pressure to win now kills long-term growth and keeps them from embracing the kind of innovation other teams thrive on. The truth is, winners and losers often share the same goals but it’s the process, not the obsession with results, that sets them apart. Maybe it’s time to shift the mindset from chasing outcomes to building a foundation based on development, adaptability, and modern strategy. Legacy isn’t just about the past it’s about evolving for the future.
The jays didn’t win, the Yankees just lost terribly. 😂
Triples are pretty rare in baseball. So why did you decide that's not a highlight? All we saw was Bellinger trying to find the ball.

Yankees go home! Canada! Canada! Canada!
2:43 so glad he stood up to his mistake.
Boonie leaving Fried in for 2 more innings after obviously having finger problems was foolish. Now he may miss games instead of as a bullpen tool
REGRETFULLY : trade Dominguez and let Grish, Bellinger, Judgeball start in the OF until you call up Jones.
RELUCTANTLY: trade for Suarez at 3b. Maybe even bring up Lombard and trade Volpe
Yankees defense looking like the special Olympics out there.
Did he say a routine 4 – 3 in the first inning?
Not sure why MLB is posting highlights of a game between the Yanks and their own defence.
Pretty gross to see the Ozempic add behind the plate :/
Yankees depend way to much on the bad bullpen arms over the good ones I’m not going to jump on 43 because he was out a year but everybody else not number 38 or30 or 63 don’t need to throw lol

Shoeless Joe Jackson belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
This is the first triple threat match style baseball game I've ever watched. Yankees vs Yankees vs Jays.
This is a completely wasted lost season. Unless they get rid of Aaron Boone. Then maybe they can have a chance to regroup. Boone "to me" happens to be the worse manager the Yankees have ever had to lead the team, and need to replace him immediately before it's to late. Right now they are UNWATCHABLE.
