FORT WORTH – The Horned Frogs have tee times at historic Pebble Beach.

Both TCU men’s and women’s golf programs accepted invitations to compete in the Carmel Cup and will open the 2025-26 season in northern California on Aug. 29-31.

TCU men’s golf will tee it up at Spyglass Hill Golf Course. The women’s side of the Carmel Cup takes place at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

The Carmel Cup was started and is fully funded by TCU alum Fin Ewing III (’80). Since its inception in 2011, the Carmel Cup has been regarded among the most prestigious regular season events in college golf, annually bringing together eight of the nation’s top-rated teams from the Big 12 and SEC. The 2025 edition of the Carmel Cup marks the first time both a men’s and women’s tournament will be played.

Both courses are a part of the Pebble Beach Company and reside along the Monterrey Peninsula, offering some of the sport’s most picturesque sights. Spyglass Hill has hosted the PGA Tour AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am annually since 1967. Pebble Beach Golf Links is unanimously rated as the No. 1 public course in the United States and will host its seventh U.S. Open in 2027.

Teams will engage in 18 holes of stroke play each day. Unique to college golf, the Carmel Cup is a six-player lineup tournament with teams’ five best scores counting at the conclusion of each round.

TCU men’s golf is participating in the Carmel Cup for the eighth time and first since 2021-22. The Horned Frogs won the inaugural Carmel Cup in 2011 at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Three-time All-American Julian Brun (’14) shot a 10-under 206 to finish as the individual medalist.

TCU women’s golf is paying its second visit to the legendary golf resort. The Horned Frogs first competed in the Carmel Cup in 2024.

Both programs will unveil their complete 2025-26 season schedules in the coming weeks.
