And then it jammed. Sorry, suffered belt misalignment. Still a great way to get a half squad wiped out in the opening 30 seconds of an assault. Friendlies probably.
The joys of low-bid acquisitions. Don't buy something you'll bet your life on when 90% of the design cost went towards 20th century plastics development. Turns out that was actually the BEST use of the money as basically any upgrade proposed suggested removing the feed gear, not upgrading it.
If you want something get a gun built for quality. I cannot recommend 20th century volume builds at all. Those guns were for conscripts. You know, forced combatants. Slave-soldiers. You shouldn't want a throwaway gun designed for throwaway troops.
And if you were issued this gun in the 21st century then someone didn't care if you died. That is not a mark in the weapons favor it was a mark against your leaders judgement.
You don't give jams and misfires to people you like or respect.
Wow, you’re very gentle and like in the military military also, how are you owning a machine gun that’s illegal and is a 15 years in prison sentence or longer
for those who dont know A machine gun is a fully automatic firearm capable of sustained rapid fire, designed primarily for military use. Unlike semi-automatic guns that fire one round per trigger pull, machine guns can continue to fire bullets as long as the trigger is held down and ammunition is supplied. This continuous-fire capability makes them highly effective for suppressive fire in combat situations. They are typically chambered for rifle-caliber rounds and can be belt-fed or magazine-fed depending on the design. The high rate of fire—often ranging from 600 to over 1,200 rounds per minute—requires robust engineering to handle the heat and stress generated during operation.
There are several categories of machine guns, each with specific roles on the battlefield. Light machine guns (LMGs) are designed to be operated by a single soldier and are often equipped with a bipod. They’re relatively portable and used to provide support to infantry units. Medium machine guns (MMGs), sometimes called general-purpose machine guns (GPMGs), are more powerful and typically mounted on tripods or vehicles to provide sustained fire over longer periods. Heavy machine guns (HMGs) fire large-caliber rounds, like the .50 BMG, and are used for targeting vehicles, aircraft, or fortified positions. These often require multiple crew members to operate efficiently and are usually mounted on tripods or armored platforms.
The internal mechanics of a machine gun involve complex systems that manage feeding, chambering, firing, and ejecting cartridges in rapid succession. When the trigger is pulled, the gun’s firing mechanism initiates a cycle where each fired round generates gas pressure or recoil force that powers the action to load the next round automatically. This cycle continues until the trigger is released or the ammunition runs out. Due to the intense heat generated from rapid firing, machine guns often feature cooling systems, such as quick-change barrels or air- and water-cooling mechanisms, to prevent overheating and potential malfunction. Some modern models are designed with modularity and adaptability in mind, allowing them to be configured for various missions.
From a legal and civilian standpoint, machine guns are heavily regulated in most parts of the world due to their destructive capabilities. In the United States, for example, the ownership of fully automatic firearms is tightly controlled under the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act of 1986. Only machine guns registered before May 19, 1986, can be legally owned by civilians, and even then, ownership requires an extensive background check, registration, and approval from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). In many other countries, civilian ownership is outright banned. Despite these restrictions, machine guns remain a crucial component of military forces worldwide, valued for their ability to deliver overwhelming firepower and control the battlefield.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD. (Psalms 14:1-4)
