[Applause] He is now three legs into the career grand slam and if he is to complete it at Shinikok Hills in the US Open next year then he will do so radar on his 30th birthday the 21st of June next year the day Scotty Shepherd turns 30 and the day that he can join golf’s most exclusive club. You followed him for the last 36 holes. We are witnessing greatness. Yeah, absolutely. This this guy is the real deal. I mean we’re seeing someone can he get to 15 majors? We know Jack’s 18, but that’s a different story. We’re talking a different kettle of fish there with Tiger and Jack. But now we have four. Rory’s got five. And uh look, what we’re seeing here, we’ll only um we’ll only have to see. But yeah, I mean, he’s got to be saying 10. I mean, how fast does he do them? He looks like one of those guys that might get to 10 and say, “See you.” I I don’t know. We don’t know with this guy. You’ve seen every shot he’s hit for the last two days. What is most impressive about him up close? The great thing is, okay, hits it on the fairway. wonderful eye player, beautiful chip, but but what he’s what I learned today is he’s incredible out of the rough. He really is once he hits it in the rough, he can really gouge it out. No, but even when what he what he possesses is he can he can play for a jumper and if if it’s like for 180 yards, he can get an 89 out of it and trail it out of a horrible life because he gets so very high and then he can get down and he can dig the ball out. He isn’t shallow and sweeps it. He can dig it out, but then if he’s got a wedge out of the rough, he can get the thing so high and get it to come down so softly like he did on 17 here today. I thought he’d land it 30 yards short and run it in there five in front or four in front. I thought that’s the way he’d play it. No, he landed it on the green and it went 18 ft past getting it to come down like a butterfly with sore feet. That is pure genius. Sevy stuff. I’ve been chatting to a few fans on my way around the course this afternoon and a few of them have said, “Oh, it’s a bit of a dump squib. Oh, it’s a bit of a non-event. It’s a bit of a procession. I get that and I can understand where they’re coming from. A lot of fans here today wanted to see Roy Rory Maroy do something special and lift that clarret jug. But the 60 70,000 people here Royal Rush today may be able to say in years to come. I saw Scotty Sheffller win the first of insert number Clar Jugs because this guy isn’t going to weigh and we are going to see him win more and more of these things more and more major championships. Well, let’s face it, he he isn’t he doesn’t smile out in the golf course. I know Scotty. He’s nice. He says hello and it’s just hello and it’s like it’s like he’s staring through a pane of glass. I said that from the get- go. But we got to remember a legend of the game back in the day. Ben Hogan was stonly faced. He was exactly the same. You’re not getting exciting stuff out of here. You aren’t getting Tiger Wood sevy charisma. You aren’t Faldo. He was stonefaced. He he he did he did smile and do all that sort of stuff. This guy’s just a different kettle of fish. Okay. We’d like to see a little bit more exciting with Scot excitement with Scottish Sheffer, but we’re not going to get that. So, let’s just marvel at the golf at at his golf and then just wait for other guys with huge personalities to be in there against him cuz that’s the way we’re going to be. He’s not going to change. He’s not going to start telling you jokes all the way around. It’s just not going to happen. That’s the way he plays. Let’s talk about Rory because I appreciate you were 400 yards behind him all day, but you’ll have heard the cheers coming from up ahead. He gave it a right go. He made a couple of of errors, Rory. But after 2019, after missing the cut six years ago, he just wanted to come back, make a better fist of it. He embraced the love from the galleries this week. It was a wonderful moment Radar as he just sort of waved to the fans at this 18th green here and just got an enormous cheer. Finished in a tie for seventh. He has not disgraced himself this week. Absolutely. A lot better than last time. I mean, and it’s his uh best showing since he put on the green jacket. So, he’ll take good things from this. And now we move into other parts of the season on the DP World Tour. We got the BMW PJ. He’s got the Irish. He’s got the playoffs. So, and then we got the RDER Cup. If you’ve heard of that, that’s going to be absolutely huge. Won’t it be great if we get to the Ryder Cup and we see Scottish Heffler go headto-head against Am I Am I really tempting? Maybe Luke and Keegan might be able to manufacture that one. That would be something that would be that’s what we’d really like. Um, and look, it it’s one of those he is by far right now. Look, if if Rory’s playing at his best and this guy’s playing at his best, we’ve got a ball game. But this guy’s more consistently at his best. We’re very blessed to have those two at the very top of the game. Scotty Sheffller by by quite a bit. Yeah, he is. Look, we’ve had four incredible days here at Roar Rush. The home fans might not have got the winner that they wanted, but they did get to witness greatness. Scotty Sheffller is now one US Open away from completing the career Glam. If he were to do it next year, he would do it on the day he turns 30.
