A nice little break off the first there. Watching that ball anxiously coming close to the bunker on the right hand side. What a shot by the way. Outstanding. Fleetwood just shy of this bunker. Beautiful lie from 84 yards. Just the wedge. Tiny bit of hurt in the air. Spot on. Halfway back, halfway through with the lob wedge. Should go about 85 yards. No, just perfect from Blewood. The perfect start for Fleetwood. That’s how you play it. This is how he did it. Wonderful, wasn’t it? I say just halfway back and through. He’ll know that yardage. Absolutely spot on in his mind that he for the Englishman Tommy away with the driver now at the second. The par five, first of the date. Wind into off the right. Easiest hole on the golf course. Well within range. The lie for this ball is just perfection. 253. It’s like nipping off a snooker table. That’s how good these fairways are. Oh, love this. What a golf shot. There’s a push draw with a fivewood. I fancy exactly as he will have envisaged that one. If you want to get involved on XDP World Tour, the poll of the day, who will shoot the lowest round? Get on board. Will it be Mroy? Fleetwood has a thing or two to say about that. In for Eagle after a birdie at the first. What a start. The little the little mini that he carries. Yeah, he loves that club. Absolutely loves it. He said it’s never coming out the bag, but like I said, he didn’t need the ninewood at the Dunh Hill in Scotland, so that’s come back in. A little bit of heart in the air. It’s probably an eight iron, but you do not want to be long at this flag. There’s a bunker over there. Just short of it is the plate. Just a trademark draw for Tommy Fleetwood finding that pin on the left hand side of the green. What’s the secret? Tell us. It was more me than Ken. Unless this misses and then it was more Ken than me. We were just talking about I was telling him to keep his head still. Well, he was asking how to keep his head still. I gave him a little bit of advice. Hey. And uh it seems to be working quite well. 5%. What do you think? 6%. That would be nice. 0.5 will do nicely. Thank you. Look at that. All the threes through the first three. Look like a sixiron to me for Fleetwood. This right hand pin position. Middle of the green pin high and 210. You know, you’d never have that back. Little bit of left right in this one for Tommy for the bird. Such a great driver of the golf ball, Tommy. Wonderful rhythm. Never changes. when he’s leaning. Where is this off to? They are. Oh, finds the first cut. Tommy down the right hand side. And not an easy spot he’s found here. Ball way above his feet from 110. Looked like he was going to be quite clear he wasn’t going to bring the right hand side of green there in play. Decent result from where he was to be fair. Yeah. 12.1 on the stimp today. These greens they are quick. Stay up. Here. One of the stronger holes on this golf course is the sixth. Yep. Find the fairway. It’s a birdie chance though, you’d have to say for players of this quality. Don’t want this to turn in too much. Oh, it’s beautiful. Now settle. Oh, that’s perfect from Flewood from 200 yards. Oh. Great ball striking from the Englishman again. Oh, what a great view this is going to be. Oh, it’s looking good. Oh, just lacked maybe a little bit of pace. That would have held its line for Fleetwood. One of these T-shots you give it the full beans, the full hit. sort of bounce. He’s going to get a nice straight firm one. That’s a country mile down there. Should be going pretty much straight. Looks like he tugged that a little bit, but it’s going to stay there. Oh, massive bounce. That’s going to find the back edge of the green there. Oh, over the back. Wow, that’s like a 40 50 yard 60 release. Tommy just stayed in a shorter cut of fringe and well played. Amazing how it’s running up. That’s uphill there. Nice low trajectory into the little bit of breeze. We’re talking about somebody that’s changed putter. He also has Fleetwood for Birdie on seven. Always kept the same style of putter, but it’s a different one. And it seems to be working quite well when you’re What is that? 1 2 3 4 5 after seven. It’s not bad, is it? Yeah, it certainly is. There was just no wind to think about as we set off earlier today and now. There’s definitely wind a factor down at this par 38. 178 yards. Playing a lot less than that. I came over the top of that Tommy a little on the safe side. Oddside chance. Cutting across the water now for birdie. We’ll move from the right. Yes. If you if he’s built like a like like some kind of animal cannon you’re built like olive oil. That’s true. Yeah. And it goes for Tommy Fleetwood who will stay at five under the card. [Music] It’s a brave line. It’s a good line. I like this. Sensational T-shot from Flewood. Oh, I missed the ridge. Just two or three yards, Tommy. Lovely little gallery watching on here at the ninth green down the slope for Fleetwood from left to right. just tickled that one. It’s the best we’ve seen pacewise from up there. Over reading the putts somewhat on a few of these players. Tommy urging this not to be too far left. Anything but it’s smashing. I don’t know. Monster plane just came across the top of us. Fleetwood. He’s got an angle. Looking for a little kiss off the Kush and got a pretty good one. The flirt with that left hand bunker. It’s a testy little chip, little pitch from there. Green a little bit above you at the halfway point, which is wonderful. Lots of young fans eagerly watching Tommy. And he does so much for young golfers out in this part of the world with his academy, the Tommy Fleetwood Academy. A little bit from the right this one. Tommy out with the driver. Sets up perfectly for his little draw. You got to kind of thread the needle. The bunkers down the left and another one up on the right hand side through the middle. Perfect. Yeah, it’s almost a a terrorist fairway as it just runs through. A little bit unlucky there for Fleetwood. A nice little bounce there. Is that going to stay there? Stay out of the bunker. It does just about. Poor light. This one by the looks of it and he stop it in time. Not really. But all in all, that no putter is working quite well today, isn’t it? Yeah, that was nice. No doubt about that. Seven under. Ideal. Quite the same power as McIntyre. Cannot be short of this pin. Yeah. Not very satisfying from Tommy Fleetwoods, but it’s on the green and we’ll probably two and move along. Now this has a chance. Oh, it was it was mimicking a left and right there, wasn’t it? Come on, Tommy. Lovely how the gallery stands so still. [Music] That was one of your best one of Tommy’s as well. Plan and execution coming together. I wouldn’t suggest it’s outside the hole. Tell you what, I think it’ll take a lot of confidence putting this new putter in the bag and putting like this today. I think we might see a little bit of Fleetwood in these next two weeks. And no surprise he’s trying to take it on. He must be full of confidence right now. He’s find one of them left bunkers there. That’s going to leave himself an awkward next one. Overall, it’s because it’s sitting on a bit of a down slope. However, that might help it release a little bit over to this flag. Quite a lot of sand around the ball as well. Back into the wind so he can be as aggressive as he dares to be. Sit down. Sit down. [Applause] Okay. Oh, you sounded extremely anxious about that one. When it first bounced, I thought that’s going to end up in the bunker. And it’s an awful bunker shot how tight that flag is. But for a three, a little bit right to left. Oh my word. Eight single putt of the day for Tommy Fleetwood. Putting very nicely. Confidently hold. Lovely three. [Music] Now, if you think these drivers sound a bit different, it’s only the echo of the big apartment blocks that are right behind that 15th T- box. It’s not because of the strike, cuz that was mint. Oh, this looks good. This looks good. Just shy of that little slope there in front of the hole. Needs to give it a hit to get it to the hole. Double breaker. Stays at – 9. Yeah. He plays those incredibly well. I mean that that fairway would hit on second today. A high draw with a divot here. Stinging it low with a divot. Amazing skills. He’s done what you have to do. You have to get it over those humps and hollows. That different order for Fleetwood. 130 with the wedge. Perfect lie. He can take this on. Trying to feed it in from the little right hand side there. And does it pretty darn well. We’re seeing one of the great rounds of golf here. Some iron play of the absolute top order from Tommy Fleetwood. Fleetwood’s turn to find the bottom of the cup. Can he follow Bob in there? Oh, not quite. Little bit more than you would have expected with this one. Yeah, nice. You look good with the putter today. Very good. 204, as I say, plays a few downhill, but that wind 210 won’t hurt you. Smooth. Five iron if you want to get it close. Oh, bunker. Yeah, apart from his vest. Amazing. Well, that was clever. It was a clunky sound. Lots of sand before the ball taking the spin off the shot there as well for the bogeies. Fleetwood hopes to keep it that way and does. Stays at minus 9. Good up and down. Well, for one, he was talking about his putting during the proam rank and he’s been absolutely sublime on the greens today. It’s a wonderful setting for Tommy to bring this home. Like you say, Ken, it is a bit wider down that left hand side now. And that is the play if you want to be aggressive, but with that wind into and off the left, you could almost just start at the right edge of this bunker and the wind will just take it down the right hand side if you want to be safe. What’s he going to give us? There’s a brave wonderful T-shot. It finds the fairway and it does. That is absolutely dictionary perfect. Couldn’t hit it any better. A brave shot to draw into that uh left to right breeze. Can’t believe it myself. ripped was absolutely flushed. That be the same result as McIntyre perhaps. Oh, and it is. They’ve really not got what they deserved there. It’s a wonderful strike from Fleer with the mini driver. The two would scary shot back towards the water. Square his face. Sure. A little unlucky just tugging the UPS slope. You can see it was going to run out. Yeah, it’s awkward, isn’t it? On where the ball’s landing. It’s an awkward landing zone for both these shots to tie the course record and take the lead on his own. Nothing but net. He showed up on the greens today, didn’t he? Tommy Fleetwood, a 62. Yeah, he certainly did. That was a sublime round of golf. One of his very best and a well-earned handshake indeed. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

  1. Tommy needs to just play some of the easier PGA tournaments without the big players and get his first win on those and then it's not in his head all the time

  2. EVERY shot… except the ones we don't show. OK, so it was only easy putts on holes 4, 9 and 12 but don't label it as every shot if it's not.
Very nice round from Tommy though, hope he keeps it up.

  3. “This has a chance” leaves it short
“Always a good driver of the ball” sends it to the rough
“Perfect shot” rolls out into hazard
Just give it a sec before calling it

  4. PGA fan here but man they could take a page or seven out of LIVs book on how to film and present these events. They put you to sleep.

  5. So happy that Tommy is playing well, but when the course record is followed very closely by basically 10 golfers all shooting low 60's, the course is too easy no? looking for the winner to basically finish 30+ under par?
