An A-Ha moment for me lately, keeping my eyes down all the way through the throw until my back shoulder brings up my eyes has led to accuracy and what was top distance for the type of Discs now routine.

For the longest time if I tried to put more juice on a throw I was looking up early which brought my body with it and I was missing my line to the right by a good 40 or 50 feet or sometimes more. Now it stays on line.

First three throws are putters (Opto Mercy, GL Gauntlet, GL Gauntlet) with the basket at 200′ and I went 40′ deep on all three. 240-250′ used to be like my best throw of the whole month with a putter. I’m doing it several times a day now with driving putters. Feels good!

Last throw is from my 240′ spot with an Opto Fuse. Went about 20′ deep. Again, 260-275′ was like my best-ever with a mid before. Now I’m hitting it several times a session.

I can see from the side view that it still doesn’t look real athletic, kind of gimpy, and I probably need to open hips/coil the core more slowly and smoothly and just more, then smoothly uncoil. That’s probably how I’ll get even more distance with the good accuracy I’ve found.

Practice, practice, practice. And my son declined to throw much or be filmed today. Too hot, wanted to go inside. He’s hitting 250′ with drivers a few times a session now!
