Has the pressure of the big stage got to Andy? Come on, Andy. Oh, surely you’re struggling. One minute. [Music] Matt, what have we got ourselves into here? Bet Fred and the DP World Tour have got us on stage at the Winter Gardens for the world match play to do a 501 challenge and we are traveling in style. We’re going to be warming up in the practice room before got our own walk on and then we’re playing in front of thousands in the arena. Well, you’d know about playing in front of thousands at the Ryder Cult, wouldn’t you, mate? How you feeling about it then, big boy? Come on. In all honesty, I’m myself. Then we’re going to get a load of abuse off the crowd. I’m used to that. It’s fine. Okay. It’s fine. Everyone’s going the darts as well. Everyone’s going to be looking at us going, “Look at these two idiots.” Yeah. I’ve heard like it’s like a cauldron in there, so don’t, you know, don’t don’t buckle under the pressure or anything like that. I don’t I don’t That’s when I raise my game the most. You’re going to have to. Is there anyone you’re looking forward to meeting? Uh, I think Bunting’s playing tonight. Obviously being a fellow Liverpool fan as you are. Are we going to go bunting mental? Oh mate, we got we got we’re obviously we’re obviously cheering on Bunting tonight. Bunting mental. If I throw a 12 dart, I’m jibbing. I’m jibbing golf. Just have you ever thrown a $12? You can quote that. Should we get the wedding chapel in? Look at this. Vegas on steroids. Look at the tower. How beautiful is that? Stunning. World famous ice cream. I’ve heard the best in Blackpool. Where does it say that? It doesn’t. I’m making it up. You the size of the beak on that. Do you know where this place is? No. Should we go and uh my favorite bit. Here it is. The winter gardens. This is it. Well, it’s cool, isn’t it? This is like a big big venue though, isn’t it? For for the darts. Yeah. To be fair, now we’re here at this iconic venue. Um, how nervous are you? Very like I’m shaking, mate. It’ll be fine. I’ll have fun. It’ll be fine when whiskey. Oh my god, it’s big, isn’t it? Cuz it’s class. I am genuinely going to miss the red bit. I hate the way you sound. Jesus. It’s easy to play with the red do. What about with 3,000 people? By the way, tomorrow they won’t remember us. It’s fine. We haven’t got to worry about that. They ain’t going to remember us tomorrow. Oh, you’re right. To come to an event like this is being a darts fan is is amazing. Yes. You like I watch this on telly every week and this is just mega. You know, you’re just sitting here. You watch going up them steps. Please don’t fall up the stairs. I don’t want to do the paperwork. Yeah. This is where it goes down. I don’t mind. I will. Don’t worry. I’m only doing this once ever, so it be class. You throwing some can’t throw. It’s brand new board. Can we? Yeah. Just literally lean against it. Oh, look at the way they’ve gone in. So, you just nearly took my hand out. You’re fine. Don’t worry. By the way, the rules are you don’t you can’t walk down the red thing. You got to walk around it as well. Oh, we did walk around. That’s respectful. That we’re going to go over some housekeeper before we start. This is cool, isn’t it? So good. Who’s the Who’s the better players on tour, lads? Is he one of the best? It probably is the best cuz I’ve seen There’s a couple of caddies that are good. I saw the videos of Turo obviously at the rider car. Yeah, T can play. Yeah. Can he? Yeah. I’m done. I’m buzzing. Let’s go. I’m just glad I’ve not missed the board to be quite honest. Just coming off stage. How you feel? That was amazing, wasn’t it? Literally, I think this could be quite cool. This is the Bet Fred nine dart lounge. This could be mega. How good is this? This is the Bet Fred nine dart challenge. We’re trying to raise as much money as we can for the guide dogs, our charity at the Bet Fred British Masters at the Belelfrey. It’s a pound of points. We’ve got Andy Sullivan and Matt Baldwin. Fellas, are you ready? I’m ready. Yes, Matthew. I love his confidence. We’re ready. Come on. Let’s make some happy dogs. Come on. It’s our official charity at the Belelfrey. Supposed to be raising money. Oh my god. I’ve absolutely threw sax cold at it. You have. He’s He’s gassed it a bit there. And he is this worse than playing a Ryder Cup. More nerve-wracking than playing a Ryder Cup. I know. I didn’t look like what I was doing then, but I I felt like I did. That’s better. What’s that? 100. 100. Yes. Come on, Matt. Come on. Right. Come on. Let’s have a big three. I am homing in on this trip. Let’s have a big three. 40. Brilliant. Come on. Let’s have a big three. This is not looking good for me, is it? I’m loving the double. He’s loving the double top. Oh, that was disappointing. Is that was that nine? You’re done now. You’ve done You’ve done nine and I’m afraid 268 between you. But a couple of years ago, you got a hold in one, didn’t you? The bell free and we gave 50 grand to prostate cancer. Prostate cancer. Yeah. Right. One of you do it this year and we’ll give 50 grand to the guide dogs. All right. Amazing. Right. And we’re giving money for Eagles as well. So, uh hopefully we do better than that. Hopefully, we’ll raise more money at the belfry than 268 quid. I think I think they’re doing us a bit of justice there. I think you held up your end there. Well, I just think we hit the trouble one and treble five a little bit. It could have been so much better, couldn’t it? That’s the game. Is it gents? Thanks for coming to the Winter Gardens and thanks for supporting uh what we do at the golf as well. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. Thank you very much. Very much. How you doing? He goes over. No, they are. I’ll be the first. The mechanics are so so similar. The follow through the stance. Obvious the grip. It’s it’s You got a lot of teaching to do here. Well, no. No. Right. Have you got your dance? We’ve got We got to have a go. Come on. We got to have a go. Oh god. So there’s not much wrong going on here. Seriously. Yeah, I know. But you’re you’re letting the the outcome kind of ruin what you’re doing. It sounds like that. What you’re doing is all right. Right. There’s one thing he’s doing that that you’re not. And if it was golf, you would notice it in a millisecond. Right. Go on. Right. You’re You are literally hitting the ball and stopping. That’s effectively what you’re doing. Just said that to You said that this just like jabs it. Yeah. You can’t You can’t end there, man. You got You got to follow through, right? Want to bet? Do you want to bet, right? Follow through. That’s it on the line of the target. I said that to you how straighter it was. My work here is done. Anyone that can swing a club, you’re laughing at darts. How about you? You know when you hear that connection of a ball? Yeah. You know it’s right. You know it’s right. It might be slightly offline. Why don’t you show us those? Right. I I don’t really play anymore. I I feel sure that right then I see they I can’t. Let me have three more. These ain’t my darts. These are my darts. Uh what ones are those? No. No. No. No. No. There. There we go. Right. 1. I got back into golf a couple of months ago, I genuinely believe my darts game has improved since I did. It really feels like I've got a bit better feel just for how my hand moves. I still suck at both golf and darts, of course.
