HOUSTON, Texas — Rice men’s golf coach Justin Emil announced the release of the 2025-26 schedule Friday afternoon.
 
The 11-tournament schedule will see the Owls compete in six different states and two countries, including three tournaments in Texas.

“I’m thrilled to announce this year’s schedule,” said Emil. “We set our schedule so that the team could make it to Nationals, all while providing a runway for guys to be ranked on PGA Tour University. We have a competitive squad this year and they are ready for the challenges ahead.”

For the fifth straight year, Rice will open the season at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, Sept. 7-9 in Choudrant, La., and hosted by former Conference USA foe Louisiana Tech.

Two weeks later, the Owls head to New Mexico for the first time since 2011 when it participates in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, Sept. 19-20.

Rice hosts its first of two tournaments, Sept. 29-30, when it hosts the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood Golf Club in Houston.

 

The Owls stay in Texas when it travels to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational, Oct. 5-7, hosted by SMU. It is the second straight year participating in the event.

For the third consecutive season, the fall slate concludes at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational, played Oct. 25-26 in Loxley, Ala., and hosted by South Alabama.

 

Rice begins the spring campaign on Feb. 9-10, when it will send individuals to the Bentwater Intercollegiate in Montgomery, hosted by Sam Houston.

The team portion of its spring slate begins Feb. 16-17, when it heads to Mobile, Ala., for the Hal Williams Collegiate. It will be the second tournament hosted by South Alabama.

 

The Owls will play three tournaments in the month of March, beginning Mar. 1-3 when it travels to Cabo, Mexico for the Cabo Collegiate. It is the 12th straight year Rice will participate in the event.

 

Rice then returns home for the All-American Intercollegiate (Mar. 16-17), played at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble. Rice will co-host the event with Houston.

 

A week later, the Owls travel to West Palm Beach, Fla., for the Valspar Invitational, Mar. 23-24, and hosted by Houston.

 

The regular season concludes on Apr. 13-14 at the Mossy Oak Intercollegiate, played in West Point, Miss., and hosted by Mississippi State.

The Owls begin postseason play at the American Athletic Championship, Apr. 27-29, played at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Sarasota, Fla.

NCAA Regionals take place May 18-20 at campus sites, with Texas hosting the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif., May 29-June 3.

The Owls return seven members from last year’s team, including All-AAC members and NCAA Regional participants Lukas Boandl and Daniel Zou.
