The ladies European tour in Scotland for the ISPS hander women’s Scottish Open coming from Dundon links for the fourth year in a row and co-sanctioned with the LPGA Tour. Returning after her withdrawal on day one at the Evian Championship, Charlie How admitted she was only 80% fit, but she still played some wonderful shots like this one at 17 on her way to a one under par 71. First time in the ISPS handle women’s Scottish Open for the world number one Nelly Corder. Some short game magic in a round that produced seven birdies. A round of 68 for her. quarter well placed at four under par. Also on that mark is Miley Lee a third major title last month at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship for the Australian who like Cder had seven birdies in her round of four under par. It’s coming up to 17 years on tour for two-time Ladies European tour winner Liz Young. A birdie finished for her on day one in a round of 68. [Music] her first time playing Lynx golf for the American rookie Jenny Bay, but you wouldn’t have known it watching her enjoying the wonderful sunny conditions on day one on the west coast of Scotland. She was another four under par after the first round. After a win in the Irish Open and third place in the major at Evian as an amateur, Lotty W was making her pro debut and she was picking up where she left off on the shores of Lake Geneva, a round of 67, leaving the English woman at five under par. Nura Aturios finished top 10 last year and she had a fantastic finish with this putt at her closing hole, the ninth. Another five underpar. Nura always enjoys when she makes a birdie. Leading rookie on the LPJ tour is Rio Teada. And the Japanese who won on the LPGA Tour in March another round in ‘ 67. Leona Magguire got off to a flying start holding her approach at her opening hole of the day the 10th. She was bogey free in a round of 67, also at five under par. And of the afternoon starters, it was Charlotte Lefar who went best, the mom of two little boys, making only her fifth start after 4 and 1/2 years away. Also moving to the mark of minus five. So five tied at the top at five underpar. Very tightly bunched though on a day of very good scoring.
