This simple golf swing tip will help every golfer strike the golf ball better. The golf drill works with both irons and driver so you will be flushing your irons off the fairways and hitting driver long and straight off the tee. Sometimes its the simple golf tips that work the best for amateur golfers. Todays golf lesson video is working on low point control in the golf swing. Low point is different for both irons and driver but this Simple Golf Tip Removes ALL Amateurs Hidden Flaws to get the correct low point with every club.

00:50 How To Control Low Point – Tip 1
03:12 How To Control Low Point – Tip 2
04:32 How To Control Low Point – Tip 3

Low point control in the golf swing is key to hitting great golf shots. Low point control is going to help you hit better iron shots from the ground and hit longer and straighter golf drives off the tea. You need to be able to control low point in your golf swing if you want to improve. So, here’s a simple golf drill for you with a few variations which is going to help you conquer your low point control. This golf drill will work with both your irions and driver. So, make sure you’re trying it with both because you might also see slightly different results because where our low point needs to be with our irons, which is slightly ahead of the golf ball, the target side, is slightly different to our driver, which needs to be in front of the golf ball to make sure we’re hitting up on it. Whereas iron, we need to be hitting slightly down. So, what I want you to do is set up to the golf ball, but with your feet together. Now, not touching, but I want a ball’s width, ball and a half width in between your feet. And then I want you just to hit a normal golf shot. I’ve slightly pulled it, but the main thing is that I’ve struck it well. I’ve hit ball and then turf, which is what we want to see with that iron because it means that low point is ahead of the golf ball. Now, if this variation of the drill has helped you strike that golf ball better, which I’ve done nicely there, but if it’s helped you, then you’re probably a golfer that’s got too much shift and sway in their golf swing. So, you need to learn how to start to stay more centered in the golf swing. And that’s what this drill is really going to help with. It’s going to help you understand, right, I need to start turning and stop shifting my weight over here. Because if you do shift your weight like I’ve done there, I’m going to start losing my balance. So, it’s going to help you really understand how to stay more centered and turn better to get you striking that golf ball better. That’s a nicer shot, bit straighter, and finishing on the green. Before I give you the next tip, if you’re looking for one-to-one online golf lessons with PGA golf professionals, you need to check out Swing Tweaks. All you have to do is simply download the Swing Tweaks app. It’s on both iOS and Android. See the links in the description. Send in a recording of your swing and a description of what your game’s like and what you want to see your game looking like. Then a PGA Golf Professional will send back an incredible video analysis of your swing with drills and a summary so you can get straight to work. There’s also new features in the app, frequently asked questions and a practice plan. So, after watching your swing tweak, if you have any questions, you can head to the frequently asked questions page. And in the new practice plan feature, there’s going to be sessions laid out for you with drills how long you should be practicing for to keep you focused when you’re practicing. When you download the app and sign up, use my code lockpa and get 20% off your first tweak. That’s right, 20% off. You’re welcome. Tip number two or variation number two. Same as before, I want you to set up with your feet together or a slight gap in between them. But on this variation, what I want you to do on your start your down swing, as you start your down swing, I want you to lower with your arms as well. So, it’s a little bump down. So, I’m basically squatting towards the ground. And then I want you to push out of that bump by the time you hit the golf ball. So setting up to it, it’s like gap between my feet. Up to the top, bump and hit. Up to the top, bump and hit. And again, I’ve struck that well. Slightly pulled it down the left. But again, my low point is in really good spot hitting ball. And then turf. If this variation helps you strike the golf ball better and get that low point in the right spot, you’re probably someone who doesn’t get out of their left side very well or use their verticals very well. So you’ll see things like this. You’ll be buried in this lead leg by the time you’re hitting that golf ball and not extended it and pushed out of it. So this is really going to help you with that vertical force pushing out, getting your hips cleared a bit better and again helping you control that low point. And then finally, tip number three or variation number three, slightly different setup for the final variation of this tip. What I want you to do is set up to the golf ball like you would normally hit it, whether that’s with an iron in your hand or your driver. Once you’re set up, I want you to bring your lead foot back level with the golf ball. So, I’ve narrowed my stance again, but I want you to just make uh yourself aware of where that lead foot is at the start of your setup because in your back swing, I want you to plant your foot back where it originally was. So, you’re going to step this way in your back swing. And what that’s going to help with is some weight shift towards the target. So, you might struggle with getting across to the golf ball and then pushing out of the golf ball. It’s really going to help with that weight shift towards the target. Now, you might find that one of these drills works better with your irons than it does your driver. You might find that one variation is better with one or the other. And that’s not right or wrong. You just need to be aware of which one works with which. So, if this sort of step through drill works with my irons better, great. That’s what I’m going to have my swing thought before I hit every iron shot out on the golf course. So, I might do a few step practices. And then if it’s driver that is better with the vertical one, then I’m going to get my driver in my hand and I’m going to bump before I hit my golf shots. It’s not right or wrong. It’s different because we need different low points in our swings for different clubs, remember? So, be aware. One of these variations might work better with irons than it does your woods. And hopefully with there being three variations, you’ll find one variation that’s going to help with every part of your golf game. It’s super simple. So many of my students struggle with low point control. I give these little tests to to find out which one they need to work on most with. Let me know in the comments down below if you’ve seen this drill before. It’s not a new groundbreaking drill. It’s worked for so many years. I used to use it as a amateur golfer as well and it helps so much with my strike and I hope it does help with your strike too. Now before I leave you, little reminder for you all. 1. This golf drill is fantastic for all golfers trying to improve their ball striking. Give it a go and let me know which variation work best for your golf game 👍…..

    Hope it helps!

  2. Cmon Coach you know the only way to be a better ball striker is to buy new irons, wedges and drivers every year. The swing, grip and path has nothing to do with it.
