Learned p wedge to 8 iron for 2 days and went for my first round of golf, lots of hazards but had great fun! Caddies were super nice and definitely coming back for more! +35 for the last 9 from white tee haha

Nice looking course but yeah doesn’t look like there’s much hope of finding anything that heads off the fairways – where is it?

  2. Welcome to the most fun and painful thing you will ever do !

You played your first round with a caddy, holy shit

I play golf pretty often. I lost 5 on one hole my last outing. After the last skulled one into the water I just walked back to my cart and skipped finishing the hole.

Did you find any along the way to replace the ones you lost?

    Thats a lot of balls!

  6. Millions_Knives11

It happens, but your just swinging too hard OP take a bit off. At the end of the day you are taking a stick and trying to hit a ball forward don’t over complicate it.

  7. Welcome to golf! This is why I buy used balls lol.

FB Marletplace – they’re a dime a dozen, haha. Happy New Addiction Mate !

You should consider bowing. Really hard to lose a ball there.

I can tell you that without even seeing you swing, you need to shorten your backswing. You will immediately improve, lose less balls, and have more fun.

After this one simple change, you will only need a dozen balls per nine holes LOL

Recently found Target sells 36 “re-use” balls for like 18 bucks.

Those Pro V’s aren’t cheap if you can’t keep it on the fairway.

The fairway looks about as smooth as the greens at my local course lol

Did you pick up (or in your case, leave away)…ever?

My friend. Let me introduce you to the Wilson Chaos ball. The cost about $1/ball on Amazon and are high vis colors

Played my second game of golf a couple of weeks ago with my friends. I scored horribly, but only lost 1 ball to a water hazard. My 2 friends collectively lost like 20 balls cause they both kept taking mulligans haha

You can recoup the lost balls by scouring the rough 120-180 yards on the right from any tee box!

When I started I was playing the cheapest used balls I could find doesn’t hurt as bad when it’s 50 cents a ball

  19. christianjamess

I get losing balls from shots but how do you not walk away with some too?
I walk on the course with 6 balls, if I lose 3, I’m finding Atleast 1 or 2. Most the time I leave the course with more balls than I came with.

  20. LRMcDouble

stop playing until you can get the ball in play damn

  21. Playing a full round of golf when you can’t keep a ball in play at all seems like a pretty dumb idea. There are par 3 courses that may be better suited for a beginner trying to learn but I’d say, until you have some functional consistency, you might want to learn on the range.

If you are dead-set on buying balls, the Costco-brand Kirkland’s are some of the best you can buy for the money. They are my gamers and I love them. This gen isn’t as good as the previous, but still really solid and are $28.99 for 24 balls.

  23. I took a buddy golfing for his first time a few years back…we forgot to tell him how range balls work. He hit about 2 sleeves of brand new balls at the range before we noticed

Whatever you do, don’t get lessons. Watch more YouTube golf.

  25. The_Nutz16

Good news is, you’ll probably only lose 27 next round!

  26. ThereIsAGap

You lost 30 balls on your first round?! Show off.

  27. No_Cartoonist_2648
