What’s one thing Belgium has that the rest of the world needs? Oh, um, our food is great. Um, man, we got loads of culture. Um, yeah, I I I travel a lot and I love coming back home. We’re here today with Thomas Peters. Now, we’re going to talk about some fun subjects as well as golf. So, let’s get right into it. We heard you like racing cars. Yes, I Do you ever have fun on the course after hours and take advantage of the carts and just let them rip? Oh, the golf carts. Yes. No, not really. I’m really happy because I got a sim a race him in the player lounge this week. Do they? So that I didn’t even I did it before I had breakfast this morning. Oh my gosh. Okay. And how’d you do? Um I’m I’m all right. I’m I’ve got I’ve got the whole week to practice. Okay. I’m going to have to check that out after this. Yeah. I love that. Um and what got you into racing cars? Um, it was always a dream of my brother and I. Um, we we used to go watch some races when we were a kid with our dad and Oh, cool. Um, year and a half ago, we just I I kind of gifted him a car for his birthday and that was uh that was the beginning of it. I love What kind of car? It’s all an old Volkswagen Beetle. Oh, no way. Okay. Okay. Doesn’t look like one anymore, but it’s a bit racy now, but it’s a little souped up. Yeah, it wouldn’t be on the street. Okay, got it. Um, and then do you like leading to the finish line or do you chase to the finish line whether it’s in golf or with racing? Um, I haven’t been in front on the track yet cuz we we’re not very experienced yet, but um, hey, on the golf course, I I’ll take leading any day. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I like that. Okay. And you’ve traveled the world for golf with the tour and the Olympics. What’s one thing Belgium has that the rest of the world needs? Oh. Um, our food is great. Um, man, we got loads of culture. Um, yeah, I I I travel a lot and I love coming back home. Um, feel like we’ve we’ve got a lot of good stuff at home. Yeah. Yeah. What kind of food is your favorite? Um, what’s one thing you’re missing maybe? Oh, really good fries. Belgium fries are like really very very well known. Yeah. Oh my gosh, that sounds good. That sounds really good. Um, and what do you do when you’re homesick while you’re traveling? I’ll FaceTime home a lot. Um, talk to my kids. Um, yeah, that’s about it. I mean, honestly, I’ll watch videos of my kids. That’s that’s the only reason I get homesick. Yeah. And you’re a big family guy. Yes. Yes. So, has fatherhood changed your perspective on the game at all? Um, yeah, definitely. Um, I’ve taken it lighter, so to say. Um, you know, bad days are are getting better now. Um, but it’s still golf and it’s still Yeah, exactly. It still drives you mad at times. For sure. Like any any sport, any job, I’m sure. Um, and then do you think your daughters are going to join you on the course someday? They show zero interest. No, no, they’re still young. Um, they don’t have to play. I mean, I think by the time I quit, I don’t think they’ll have a lot a lot of memories of me playing. So, but that’s fine. I’m just I’m just papa. Supportive. I love that. Yeah, just pop up. Awesome. And what did it feel like to win your first ever pro game? Uh, yeah, it meant a lot. Um, you know, it’s it’s different to everyone, but you know, my grandpa died like two weeks before I won my first one, and he was always my biggest fan, and it was uh it was at the time it was emotional. Yeah. But it was super. So, I kind of felt like it was for him, maybe. Yeah. That’s really cool. That’s awesome. And this this one’s kind of funny. It takes a turn. What did you spend the check on? Your first drug check. The first thing I bought was um was a TV. I still live with my parents and I was like, “Can I buy a TV?” My mom’s like, “Yeah, I think you can now.” Um but the first thing I I really really wanted was a a 911. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And do you still have it? I still have it. Oh my gosh. Really? I’ll keep it forever. Okay. I love that. You got to keep the first thing you ever bought, right? Yeah. Um, and then what’s something people would be surprised to know about you? Um, maybe as a golfer or a father. Um, I don’t know. I mean, surprise. I drive my kids to school on a bike 40 minutes. Do you there and 40 minutes back? Maybe that’s a a fun fact. I think that’s a great fun fact. I love that. That’s it’s a hassle because it’s a it’s like a semi-elect electrical bike and most of the time I forget to charge it. Oh yeah. So the amount of times I go down put my kids in the bike and then I’m like damn it, forgot to charge it again. Charge it. No, that’s the thing with those electrical bikes nowadays. Okay. Oh my gosh. Well, no, I think that’s a great fun fact. Um and then, you know, we’re all rooting for Liv and PGA Tour to kind of come together and when they do, you are, you know, all competing at the majors. You’re going to win the majors. When you do win the Masters. Yes. What is your dinner spread going to look like? Um, I’ll go very Italian. I would I would say Italian. Okay. I love pasta, good pizzas, tiramisu, stuff like this. Yeah. Um, no Belgium food. Maybe some fries. Yeah, maybe some fries. Some fries. Um, yeah. Chocolate. Any chocolate in there. Some chocolate. Anything. Anything. Yeah. Okay. I love that. Well, you guys, you heard it here first. Fries at the Mast’s dinner. I’m I’m invited. I’m gonna interview you then, too. Okay. I love that. Well, thank you so much. This was so fun. Thank you. Thank you. Love it.
