e e [Music] and we’re live baby day three is just getting started it’s the final day and Sergio Garcia is leading the way on the leaderboard it’s beautiful here in Miami we’re cooking a little bit out here but it’s all right here for the first time in regular season after playing team champion here our first two years and Legion 13 is at the top of the team leaderboard so much to discuss here at Club 54 pre-round show I’m your host Christian Crosby and joining me is my good good friend my best friend best friend Jerry F you got a lot of best friends young man but you’re you’re at the top of the list I I can sense it yes yes yes yes at the beginning of our first pre-show I asked you which team should we be looking for and you said with such confidence Fireballs GC yes well the metric said that now they did also say Crushers and a couple others were favorites here including Legion which had a good chance but the Dark Horse was Fireballs I’m sticking with them they’re 11 back we’ve seen it done before your count all four scores today and I think Sergio if he gets off to a good start he’s going to lead that team Inspire them by example well of course we had to start the show talking about Sergio Garcia of course um absolutely incredible weekend he’s had here in Miami one thing I took from his uh press conference leading the way he said it’s extremely difficult he’d almost rather not be in the lead because of how hard it is to stay at the top mentally it’s got to be taxing what you say Jerry yeah no that’s that’s him playing kind of mental exercises with himself everybody wants lead they want a big lead and when they have a big lead they want to make it bigger but Sergio knows very well having been one of the ogs with live golf just how difficult it is to win out here we don’t have all the greatest players in the world but we have a really really large collection of them week in and week out we only play 13 stroke play events each year it is extremely difficult to win I believe we’ve only had 13 different winners in our brief existence what what a win mean for a guy like Sergio Garcia at this time in his career it’s validation at this point in his career to to know that he still has it to know that he can still beat these guys some of the best players in the game to it’s huge confidence heading into next week at Augusta to maybe he could roll back the clock a little bit there and do something really special it’s not unheard of we’ve seen it done before and uh it would mean validation for his decision to make the leap to the new and exciting league and and provide a little more a little more just you know wellbeing yeah well here are some statistics for Sergio Garcia Jerry I love how you break them down so let’s not stop now let’s keep this going Sergio Garcia here are some numbers Jerry talk to us they’re not all great the the difference between his year-long stats and this week’s stats but there are a couple that really really stand out including right there medium approach Strokes gain that’s 150 to 225 yards and that is the majority of your approach shots out here from 35th which was surprisingly low for Sergio to fifth which is about where he lives in professional golf being so darn accurate but this is the bit of a shocker here 46 was eighth from last in our statistical category of Strokes gained on the green he was not rolling it well second this week that is such a Monumental turnaround and it all comes down to a switch to a switch to his old putter from 1999 and the little confidence it gave him if he makes a few putts early today just sees a few go in I think it’s all over I was going to ask you about that new Putter and I ask if you thought that made any difference or not yeah it’s a it’s a it’s an old friend it’s an old trusty thing um there’s so much technology in Putters and so much has changed since 1999 that you feel like you might be giving up an advantage to the field but when you get something that looks comfortable in your hands and that you’ve had success with in the past you do not want you want to at least give it a try and Scotty Cameron reconditioned it for him it looks brand new and it’s acting like his old buddy all right well fans surely want this guy to win let’s take a look at some social here from fans with some Sergio Garcia talk here we are we’d love to see my guy Sergio Garcia get his first live gol live golf league win tomorrow been AO been close a bunch of times I’ll keep saying it to the haters put some respect on his name that that’s how that phrase goes I love that phrase put some respect on his name doesn’t roll off Tong doesn’t roll off my come on let me hear you say it J no I’m just thinking the song r p c k just do that up I I think it sounds much better wow Sergio is playing beautifully he’s the uh constant professional I’ve had nothing but respect there you go J for his game there’s a proper back there uh here’s another we love to see Serge win one the fans are rooting for Sergio Garcia uh and uh it’s fun to see that on social Ser Sergio Garcia has been agonizingly close to winning a live golf league event on couple occasions after two strong days at Durell he’s positioned to get it done let’s take a look at this feature here this is a really impressive performance so far oh yes Sergio the clench fist what a chance Champion he is battling away out there and he’s leading from the front the Spaniard how much would it mean to get that first championship it would be it would be great uh I’ve been I’ve been closed several times reached a playoff in Singapore last year it was a gallant effort by Sergio Garcia beaten In The End by Taylor G and then of course that epic playoff to start the season when it ended in Virtual Darkness disappointment for Sergio yet again it would be great but it’s still you know it’s a one day to go it’s it’s going to be a long day uh this this course is very demanding you know hopefully I’ll be able to do that tomorrow uh a bit more of what I’ve been doing I’m able to do that see where uh we we there can he close it out a lot of golf yet to be played Daddy has to go to Media love to see that special moment with Sergio and his family I’m sure that helps his confidence uh a big deal yeah for this final round uh Waco Neeman had a contest earlier through social media that asked fans to help him pick his new Furby head cover and the winner was a 9-year-old named constanza ordz Romera and she came to Dell and had a great time to say the least meeting her favorite player take a look at this my name is constanza do Romero I’m here for the the Miami lift tournament and um I’m also here because I want to have fun hey how are you good thank you I just brought a little gift for you for me yes yeah I did like a contest where where I let the the fans pick which fairy they like and constanza pick the the one that I’m using right now the pink one and and she won and yeah I mean it’s the best winner [Music] for w I need a where’s my butter I go first yes I’m too strong right now oh that’s a good butt break all right constans okay show the way go go going going [Applause] oh we got a winner he won she said at the beginning she was going to beat us so yeah yeah I I I beat you I like I like your confidence too thank you I mean that’s awesome you know that just seeing her how excited she is and how she loves Golf and and us being able to be with her and I mean she actually just beat us in a in a putting cup she’s making us look bad right now but I mean it was amazing just you know made like a 40 footer just to be us so it was great and and seeing how happy she is to be here with us it just it makes our day and joining us is 9-year-old con constanzo oraz Romera how are you I’m very good I’m very excited we’re like so happy you we’re like your biggest fans by the way we’re so happy to have you on this show I know you’ve been having a good time but I got to ask you what has been your favorite part of this weekend so far my favorite part of of this weekend is knowing each player and experiencing every every shot they take how they put the tea on how they um grab the grip on the club how how they Point their way out to the flag that’s my favorite part wow okay Jerry you got a question for 9 years old you tell me you play quite a bit of golf what do you what do you hope to do in golf someday well I want to be a professional golf player and I want to work here and someday I will be autographing many people like did to me that is fantastic I’m sure our bosses would actually uh would actually wouldn’t mind hiring you right now to believe it or not we’re going to PE queue up your put right here and show it one more time you sh you just completely showed up two of the brightest stars in the game by making a what was it 40 footer right here here it is right there yes it was a 40ft c when I got it in everyone like was it was shocking blowing mind um I couldn’t believe I couldn’t believe I put put that 40 foot on can you tell us there’s a video that went viral of when you first found out you won the contest can you here’s a video here on the screen can you talk us through this moment how special this moment was for you this moment when when my mom took the the V video and I saw Wako nimon one of the best players I know talking to me like that I was blowing mind shocking mind like I was very surprised it was it was a great experience and it was was going to be a great experience and it is a great experience for me you know you live in Vancouver Canada there are a lot of markets that want live golf events if we bring one there are all your friends and schoolmates going to show up yes all what are your plans for the day who are you going to go follow I’m going to follow everyone I can but mostly I’m going to I’m going to follow hako nman yes I I must say she might need to join our Squad you got some analyst skills in there you got some great answers constanza thank you so much for joining us we really appreciate Jarry did you have something else you had I just I just wanted to say thanks it’s so cool watching The Players as you were standing by over on the set coming by and and give shaking your hand and hoping that you were wishing them good luck so good luck with your golf and we really appreciate you thank you very much thank you so much constanza probably our favorite guest so far on Club 54 pre-round show and there goes Waco Neeman uh really cool for him to to have a contest like that where he reached out to the fans we talked to Greg Norman about how important that was it was really cool he does a lot he does a lot of work as well in for similar uh initiatives back home in Chile yeah let’s talk a little team talk Legion 13 my first question about Legion John ROM is he doing what we would expect him to do is he being a superhero as frequently as we would have expected or is he pretty much playing to the level that we all thought you know well no he’s playing to the level we all thought cuz he’s had a chance to win every single event I think think this is his farthest back heading into the final round at four shots of any of the five events now but he’s still right there with a legitimate chance to win I think given his body of work given the fact that he’s off and on been the number one ranked player in the world and still in that conversation and will be for a long long time I think in his mind he might be underachieving a little bit I think he might have expected to get a win but all you got to do is ask Sergio and everybody else out here just how difficult it is to win because the competition you’re playing against over 54 holes it’s much more of a Sprint than an endurance test and uh and it’s just it’s really really difficult even for the best but he will get a win he might get it done today but he will get plenty of wins out here and probably quite a few more majors in his career uh just thinking about Legion 13 and and thinking about what Crushers GC has been able to do in a final day what does this team Legion 13 have to do to stay on top today well you’re only as as strong as your weakest L and you got two rookies and Caleb serat and Kieran Vincent on the team both have really been MVPs at different points in their brief history on live golf but I think it you know that John ROM’s going to play solid he’s not going to blow up you know that Terell hatton’s going to play solid he’s not going to blow up the two younger guys if they play as good as they can play Legion 13 can’t be beat because they’re both incredibly good players who can take it deep on a long course like this but you know we’ve seen leads as much as 17 shots during the final round disappear Jerry mentioned Terrell Hatton he’s on the range right now let’s take a look at him getting down and dirty as he prepares for his final day uh he’s a new member to the live golf league but Terrell hatton’s play has made an immediate impact on Legion 13 here’s a look at a little more of what he brings I’ve always felt like I’m a pretty aggressive player T Hatton is another huge name that has joined as you could argue I’m fairly aggressive player depending on the result of those shots the words that come out of his mouth are exactly what go through my mind when I’m playing golf I wear my heart on my sleeve you always know how I’m feeling and um that’s something I don’t shy away [Music] from he brings the best beard to to live golf league the addition of T is obviously massive it’s a great competitive for our first week out to Come Away with a win is very special somebody I’ve shared the stage with in some big events hecl in the rer cup and you know we get along and I’m really happy that that decided to train sirel Hatton is the main man today from my experiences I know that if I play a good goal I should hopefully be able to give myself a chance for the final round gotta love to R hatan uh as we continue to get into this team talk figure we bring up the range goats Next Looking for the first win of the season right yes Captain Bubba had a great day one day one um struggled day two a little bit after seeing yesterday what are your thoughts on bubba and range goats coming into this final day well you need on bubba it’s not all on bubba no not when you’re counting all four scores again if one guy gets off to a bad start the whole team just kind of s but if a couple of guys get off to good starts it could Inspire the entire team yeah they’re plenty good enough to win here they absolutely plenty good enough Matt Wolf’s playing some great golf Bubba has ability to play well on this course he’s done it so many times in the past in his career um it’s it’s a formidable team in the season long competition to have a chance at the end of the year uh but you know you’re going up against John ROM Terell Hatton Legion 13 who’ve already got a win their first event of the year that’s not easy right I was going to ask you there they haven’t had a team championship this season yet what would a win now mean for a team like the range goats you know uh it would mean a lot it means a lot to each and every team it means a lot to the club to the franchise if a lot of people call them franchises it all Bubba Watson wants the range goats to be the number one Club the number one organization within live golf and he wants to out merchandise everybody he wants to outs sponsor everybody he wants to do everything he can to set his organization apart from all the others a win here helps in that direction all all right let’s talk Crushers GC a little bit they’re currently 14 Strokes back but as we know they’re one of the most resilient teams is that safe to say about The Crushers well just go back to jeda there was a point during the final round they were 17 shots behind they had a mathematical less than one% chance to win and they won nothing’s impossible they got some they got some really solid ball Strikers on that team they just need to find a little magic today and they need to get off to a hot start is it possible I’m thinking back to what they did last year in Miami obvious they were the team chions uh is it possible for them to get a here in Miami at where they are now is it they like I said they have to get off to a great start they the the team is untouched they kept the exact same lineup they all have great Vibes around this golf course they just can’t afford to you know have a a loose spoke in the wheel so to speak well let’s take a look back at their win here in Miami last year there it is Stinger off through well it sucked losing The Stingers in first season it’s a tough build to swallow in 22 not making it to the final four three days one Championship so it was something that kind of motivated us beating the cleaks was huge the crushes are through we were all playing very well and so I knew we had a great chance going in that final Sunday 14s Sunday is one of the most nerve-wracking rounds of golf I’ve ever had to play 16 players one of the biggest grinds I’ve ever had to face only one Champion will be crowned if you’re going to win the thing and do well you’ve got to play your best golf then at the first hole The Crushers Captain he goes low good re too and aan leiri he’s already chipped in once and he’s Chi again Bar’s cruising and Bryson’s doing great stuff with six seven hes to go it was just like a two horse race their lead over the range goats is four strokes but on a golf course like Dural you’re never comfortable there’s never warm fuzzy feeling you know you’re one shot away from collapsing left I duck hooked this drive and it went into the Fairway on number two’s ball is on the front edge of the second green this could go horribly wrong Bryson I think even made Birdie on that hole oh come on he’s done it again this man is just ridiculous we’ll always remember 23 there’s something about going through something with other people they are the LI golf team champions for [Applause] 2023 and there’s the beautiful Trump National Dural beautiful weather catching a tan here with Jerry feels good perfect day for golf yeah not far from South Beach and you got your girlfriend in town this week and what did you do in beautiful Miami at Trump Dal Resort you Netflix and chill Netflix and chill that’s just that’s inexcusable as any smart man would J the show are a great time yeah all right we’re going to jump into what to watch for with suan and Dom and today Dom you’re up first baby what are we watching for today man Sergio Garcia has been one of the best players in the world for the last 25 years Tia green he’s as good as anybody he’s had his struggles with the putter but this week he’s putting beautifully I think the key for Sergio today is if he has an early 5 to8 footer he needs to make it get his confidence up and if that’s the case he’s going to be tough to catch out of that chasing pack I’ll be keeping my eyes out for Terell Hatton he might not be the most consistent player off the te but where he really excels is from 225 yard onwards he is top 10 in every metric this week and out on a course like this he’s going to hit a lot of shots from those distances that could really play to his Advantage thank you suan thank you Dom and now it’s on you Jerry what do you got your eye on today those two experts hit the nail on the head we’re talking about obviously Sergio Garcia and Dom talking about how he gets off to a start with his Putter and how important that is Terell hatton’s a guy to keep an eye on I’m going to be keeping an eye on John ROM because I know how desperately he wants a win heading into Augusta as a defending Champion next year but also this course is one of the stars in the field we have a different win direction today 18’s going to play into the wind from the left it’s going to be a beast for the guys in those final two groups that are finishing on 18 if it all comes down to them for the team title it’s going to get nerve-wracking well Jerry I love you I love doing this show with you but got to kick you off the show now got get K me goodbye I love it you got that main show to go to Jerry thank you as always got we got a dab we dapped all right David farity has pretty much seen it all during his time in a game of golf but what happened here at Durado last year literally made our resident genius say WTF let’s take a look at this one right here I’ve seen some wild shots in my career out of bunkers out of water out of alligator infested jungle that you don’t even want to go near but last year Bryson Des Shambo made my list by going for a birdie over a birdie Shack let me set the scene for you it’s the final day of the team championship and Bryson’s Crushers are clinging to a two shot lead on the 16th hole with three to play but his t-shot flew the green and he found himself in The Fringe of the second hole to get out of this mess he decided to attempt a wedge right over the birdie Shack which he did the range goats closed the Gap to one but Bryson then buried his putt for a birdie and a lead they’d never give up so today I figured that we’d recreate that crazy attempt with me I have my lovely assistant Sue an hang and my not so lovely assistant Dom Boule I figure standing right by the flag stick is probably the safest place to be ready aim fire a little but looks good [Music] and that apparently is how you play the 16th at the Blue Monster you hit it 118 yd wide with your t-shot over a nightclub and then bury the putt for three where’s the challenge in [Music] that there’s absolutely nobody like David ferity those WTF features are incredible and we’re just moments away from the final day all right it wouldn’t be a Club 54 pre-round show without doing our poll this is where we ask you a question and in real time you can vote and results will show during the main show today’s question for our fans Sergio’s best performance in Durado what is it what is his best Blue Monster performance six third second or a win no cheating we know you guys guys can just simply David and Arlo at the desk what’s going on today guys Christian we say it every week but Championship Sunday should be absolutely fantastic and we say it David with good reason don’t we because Sergio’s a great story Will he win his first live golf title but he’s got lots of competition behind him and the team title at the moment could be between Legion 13 and the range goats but with four scores counting Anything could happen now professional golfers David find motivation in many different ways at the top of the pylon are a bunch of guys that are going to the Masters but also some that aren’t is that a motivation for them absolutely you know you’ve got players like G and wolf and us haen there in the top 10 that have got a serious chance of winning uh today that really want to play as well as they can just to Pro a point if you like and I don’t know if there’s a hope yet you know that I mean the winner on the PGA tour this week gets uh an invite should the winner this week right here get an invite maybe so well I think we all think he should whether he does or not is another matter but that’s all for next week it’s Championship Sunday Christian it’s going to be exciting in the energy the atmosphere it is absolutely incredible fans are so excited so can’t wait for that next stop but it wouldn’t be a pre round show without Rachel Drummond she’s at the range let’s check in prevailing wind right here and and we have our practice facility down there we’re used to this strong wind coming off the east side so that means the finishing holes but obviously we’re playing a a shotgun so everybody’s going to be playing it but it’s going to be harder than it was the last two days so and your prediction for your man behind youon low today he’s playing great we got him dialed in we’ve had a good week and uh the best part is it’s I want to save the best for last love that great Rick Rick is your man looking online Rick Smith golf instruction pts what’s your swing thought for today good morning how are we this morning no range walk is going to be quick range what do you want to know your swing thought of the day my swing thought of the day is uh it’s two all Man United Liverpool I needed to stay that way so Arsenal have a bit of a gain uh listen no back spasms today is all I’m after I’ve had two days of back PMS uh feels a bit better today and uh we need to move further up the uh lead board so come on bolts play well bit of football or soccer as you call it out here who else can we get leash hey you’re leading the way for the reppers today how’s how’s the grass the grass well I think everyone’s a grass person deep down aren’t they it just depends what sort of grass you like you know how’s the Dural though good it’s very good yeah they’ve done a good job um three tournaments in 18 months and you’re never surprised when you get here and it’s perfect so you’re loving it I want one swing thought the day just be aggressive I mean I’m a few backs so um yeah just try and make as many birdies as possible and see what happens go on leash love it for all of you that think that was a weird question leean loves grass so right Taylor gu isn’t here but he’s
