When you think about PXG and when they bring new golf clubs out, the big worry straight away is price. But today we are talking about a brand new club for 2025 that we can say is affordable. Stay with me. And today we are talking about a brand new putter, a new addition to their zero torque lineup. So we know first of all we had the Allen putter. Following that we did have the bat attack, we had the fang looking putter. But now today we have the brand new 2025 Hellcat Zero Torque Porter. Let’s talk about this. Let’s talk about who it’s for and how it could potentially help your game. Now, recently I’ve been talking a lot about brands that don’t bring clubs out until they feel like it’s something better. And PSG fit right into that category for me because they don’t bring something out every single year. Everything isn’t replaced and you’ve got something new. You’ve got the next edition, you got the next edition, you got a new driver, you don’t know where you’re at. And you might be saying, well, is that a good thing? Is that a bad thing? Well, I certainly think with the putters, it has been a good thing because they’ve not rushed these putters out. So, the Allen putter came out first well over a year ago, and straight away it was a good putter. Performed well. I really enjoyed that putter. Then they brought out the bat attack probably around about a year later. We’ve then got the fang, we’ve got the traditional look that everybody likes, the number seven as a lot of people will refer it to. And that putter again was a good addition, but now they’ve completed the trifecta that it does state in the email from PhD about these putter because we now have a blade edition. So we have a full mallet, we have a semi mallet, now we have the blade looking. We still have the S hoszle design. So again, different to your other brands. It’s not really in the others. They’ve not just copied it. They’ve not gone straight into the middle of the pods head. They’ve not tried to make them all look the same. We could say that about potentially other brands that you’ll see on screen now. So, they’ve taken the time. They’ve not brought them all out together. We’ve now got different options. And I certainly like that. This Hellcat does feel great off the face. It swings well. It does exactly what I expect. But what are we expecting from a zero torque putter? Well, for me, the whole idea behind zero torque and different looking putters, yes, they might not be the most pretty on the eye. They might not look fantastic. Again, even this one here, a bladed putter, has gone more like a traditional answer neck, but they’re designed for me to help you stop three putting. So, if we can help you stop three putting, if we can take all the thought out of your putting, we’re not stood over it, strangling that putter, trying to watch that putter back and through. We’re taking that out there. Now, we’ve got the zero torque. We know that this is live balance. We can just get into a good posture and we can make a back swing and a follow through. And if we do that nice and easy there with that golf ball, you can see it rolled perfectly end over end. But what price point are we at? So we know the previous putters were 429. Still 429. We’re now looking at 250 for this putter. So we’re right in the realms of Odyssey, which obviously have come in a lot cheaper. So, a lot of people have maybe delved and tested that Odyssey because like, well, I’ll jump into it maybe at £250. I’ll give it a try and if not, I can probably sell this on. But this now from PhD is affordable. But where it stands above the rest for me in regards to your Callaways and your Taylor Maze is with what they’ve done with a certain part of this golf club. And they’ve done it from the first go. They’ve done it straight away from the Allen putter. They got this right because they noticed a certain thing from Lab putters that was a fan favorite and helped them perform probably better than most of the others. Let’s talk about that. So, before we get to that part of the club we’re going to talk about, let’s talk about PHG. So, this year should be a big year for PHG because we’re potentially looking at some new woods later in the year, potentially some new irons, and again, that’s because they feel like they have improved them. It’s very much a brand with Mr. Parsons who uh brings out clubs when he feels like they could help you. So for example, he brought the desert club out which more because of where they play in Arizona, they don’t want to scuff up clubs. And also in his mini driver, obviously the mini driver wasn’t rushed out. It was obviously it came out when he thought it was ready. They’d put the R&D into it. They made sure the weights were great. And for me, to be honest, it was one of the best mini drivers to come out. Ignore the Cessna that’s flying over us at the moment. But they waited. They got it right because the head wasn’t too big. We did have the interchangeable weight. It’s probably one of the most movable or most versatile mini drivers. You could also hit it off the fairway, which for me was a big thing. So, they waited. They took the time. They made sure it was right. They didn’t jump on the bandwagon to get something out. And it’s exactly the same with these zero torque putters. But what is that thing they’ve got right? And the grip is the big talking point because PHG got this correct from the start. We do have the press or the slant 1.5. So this is giving you a little bit of forward shaftling at setup because a lot of people struggle straight away when they got a zero torque putter. If you had a standard grip on, you felt like you had to give it a little bit of a press. Then we know what that will do is if we move that putter forwards, it’s going to open that club face a little bit. So they said, “Oh yeah, well, you know, I’m striking it all right, but I’m missing putts to the right, and then I probably try and get my hands involved. I miss them to the left.” That’s not exactly what these zero torque even putters are designed for. So straight away, this already gets me into a nice neutral position for me. I don’t feel like I’ve put any press on there. We’ve already got that built into the grip. And miss this out. again, Tailor Made, waited to bring the Spider ZT out and they also had that press grip on there. And I think that’s obviously when you’ve waited that little bit longer, you’ve not just tried to get something out. So, you’ve got an option has paid off for the likes of Tailor Made more so and obviously with PXG because you can get these now exactly how you want them. You’re not trying to manipulate it. They will feel a lot easier to stroke. For a lot of golfers, I would say for 95% of golfers, these putters would be quite good. You can see there to average to hold that is one in 10. And straight away they’re nice and easy. I’ve not thought about anything in that stroke at all whatsoever. I’ve literally line that golf ball up. I’ve come in and I’ve not thought about am I taking away here? Don’t go out there. All I’ve thought there again, nice and simple. Good setup. Back and through. Is that one going to reach? But that’s two good puts. That’ll be a one put and a two put. We take it. So, what do I mean about this grip? Well, this is the putter that James Robinson got made up in Arizona on our trip. And James did the rookie mistake of just getting a standard grip on there. And the PSG grips again, any standard putter grip is great. But when we put them on a zero torque putter straight away there for for me, perfect. Holds the holds the ball in the bottom. I forgot about that trick from the Allen. I can see a lot of loft. I can see that putter aiming left. So actively I’ve got to feel like it wants to be there and then I feel like I’ve got a little bit too much shaft lean. But I don’t know how to get into that right position. And this is where obviously people might change grips on putters. If you buy an Odyssey one, you might change that grip to a slight grip because if you don’t play a lot, if you’re somebody who plays once at a weekend or you play once in a week, maybe get out of the weekend if you can. If you’re not with the family, you’re going to struggle to get into that position every single time. And that’s where PHG give us that option. I do really like the way this Allen swings. And so far, zero torque showing that even with any grip, they do perform pretty well. Obviously, I’m not expecting to hold any of these ports. We’d certainly take that if we had a metal card in our hand. But I think now we’ve got three fantastic options from PHG. They are a brand that obviously keep you waiting. A putter or a club could come out at any point with Mr. Parsons. I think obviously he knows he’s uh whenever he’s ready and he feels like one’s going to help you, it could come out tomorrow. And this is the good thing with PHG. They’re not just bringing clubs out willy-nilly. When they do bring them out, they’re certainly fantastic. Is it three out of four? It’s not bad. But guys, make sure you check out the brand new PXG Hellcat. A more affordable price point for some. So, if you want to test out a zero torque putter, this could be the one for you. Because after all, it did hold a few putts just like these ones on screen.

As you mentioned, having to forward press ZT putters and not really knowing how much to forward press gave me issues as well.
I have the odyssey 7 zero torque, I forward press until I don’t see the AI face, when I practice putting I’m not concerned with making the long putts, I work on distance control to eliminate 3 putts
Looks interesting. I have switched from a Wilson Buckingham to center torque putters. First the Tour edge Bazooka #4 and now the Wilson South Side putter. All 3 of these putters have in turn been improvements to my putting. This new PXG looks like it is worth testing.
Unfortunately, they are still fugly and will never go in my bag.
Yes notably quite a few used Allan putters for sale on eBay without the press grip, tricky to get it right with 5 degree loft.
