What’s up, guys? This is Sean Krill out on the golf course testing out the new Garmin Venue X1 watch. Look forward to seeing what it’s capable of. Let’s go hit some. First time. First time. This watch would definitely be a huge help. Playing a course for the first time, just knowing where all the hazards are, our bunkers definitely would pay off big time in the at the end of the round. So, it looks like it’s a back pin. Got about 178, 162 center, 145 front. So, I’m going to go with a 165 shot and leave myself in the center of the green. Let’s see what this is reading for wind. Yeah, I mean I got I got about 2 miles an hour 2 miles an hour hurting a little left to right. So, it’s playing like 166. So, I like this club. I like my chances here. If I can put a good swing on it. Oh, that’s really good. Get in the hole. Where’d you play in college? I played golf at Wesley College in uh Dover, Delaware. I played there for three years. Loved every second of it. Wish I could go back every single day. This watch is spot on with with the yardage. Spot on. I I really I’m really liking the the green contours, but I mean I think the biggest the biggest plus to this is getting front, back, and center. Then you’re never going to leave yourself short. You’re never going to leave yourself long. You’re going to be able to hit that center of the green every single time. There’s nothing worse than them flying a green or coming up short. Um so biggest thing is getting that front back and center. So I got got a little uphill breaking right or breaking left to right. Um, shouldn’t break too much. But, uh, let’s see if we can roll this one in. Leaving them short again. All right. Two putt par. Two putt par. Got to love walking off the par three with a two putt par, right? So, I feel like I mean the huge advantage of having this I mean this is like this is your virtual caddy. I mean, in college, you’re walking with your coach, and when you’re going out with your boys, you’re you’re, you know, you’re kind of just spraying it wherever you want. But when you’re out here, or if you’re by yourself, you know, you got a virtual caddy now to basically tell you where the safest place to put the ball is. So, what are you looking at right now? I’m just looking at layup yardage here for my second shot. And we’ll see how far that bunker is. If I go with three wood off the TE again, go with a safe shot about 275 yard shot, I’m going to have 236 in, which is something that I can get two and two. So that’s that’s the smart play here and that’s what I’m going to go with. So these we got people. We’re waiting on people right now. So we’re going to check and see how far away these people are. So they’re only 240 away. So we’re going to have to wait still. favorite golf course definitely Wolf Creek in Mosquite, Nevada. If you’re familiar with Wolf Creek, the undulation, the sloping, the the big backdrops right there in the red rock of Mosquite, Nevada, probably one of the most scenic golf courses you’ll ever play. Um definitely definitely would have been a huge help to have a GPS watch on that course because of the slope changes, undulation on the greens. You’re hitting T- shots that are 400 yardd carries that only take a 3wood to get over. So having a GPS watch definitely would have been able to help out with the blind shots and those elevation changes. No, it should be good. I mean, I got I got 284 at the back. The wind is the wind’s helping a little bit. So, there’s no way I should fly the green with this club, but definitely don’t want to come up short and go left into the water. Since I’ve never played this course, I would never know that there was water up the left. Now, I know now I’m definitely not going left. Oh, that could be pretty good. I knew that this club was going to be a little short, so that’s why I played the hybrid. But I also knew if I caught it good that I could potentially get on the green. So hybrid was the play me. But I will say going back to uh seeing that water down the left side, definitely would have probably tried to take one down the left side, but knowing that water was there, it made me want to keep it right. So good course knowledge come from the watch. No, I left myself in a pretty good spot. I didn’t get on the green, but I left myself short of that bunker and I got a good look at chipping in for eagle. So, everything’s kind of funneling towards me and away to the left. So, I’m going to put a put my pitch shot a little right of that pin. I know it should grab. Oh, it just took a bad kick. Easy par, easy game. Would have loved to have a a birdie there, but I’ll take a par any day of the week. During the pin, playing 168. We got a little left to right wind, 3 miles an hour. Playing like 168. Let’s see. Got 8 mph wind actually pushing you right. that you just get such a high level of confidence hitting any shot on the golf course because, you know, I sw I live by it. Center or front, center, and back. I mean, you you can’t you can’t miss a green with this thing. I miss I There’s been times where I go out and play, use a rangefinder. I’m trying to catch the front, trying to catch the back. But with this thing, it just gives you just that added level of confidence. And then I’m hitting the center of the green. I’m giving myself a birdie look every single time. Yeah, everything’s is straight uphill. It might move a little bit to my left, so but like I said, just gives you that extra level of confidence to to roll putt. All right, easy par. Easy game. Got the Port Rush shirt on. British Open weekend. Just got off the course. Overall, um I’d give this watch a 10 out of 10. It It gave me so much confidence on the golf course when it came to putting T- shots, iron shots in, approach shots, uh even, you know, trying to carry a greenside bunker.
