If you are reading this, I hope you have a good day and GBR! 🙂

It was just announced that Husker legend, one of the greatest defensive tackles in the history of college football in Adama Consu, has officially retired from the game. And ever since then, the rumors have begun to swirl that he could be in line to join this Nebraska coaching staff sooner rather than later. The fans, they want him back in Lincoln. So, in today’s video, I’m going to give you a big time update around this situation. What’s been going on behind the scenes? Is this a real possibility? What would be the pros behind this move? What are the honest cons? Is this actually going to happen? I’ll give you the truth and a couple other Husker legends who I have my eyes out for who could join the staff in the upcoming years. So, really quick, we have a lot to talk about. Hit that like button if you’re fired up. This video is jam-packed. And also, if you’re a diehard Nebraska fan and you’re not subscribed, what are you waiting for? The season is almost here. And listen, this is the only channel Nebraska YouTube where you can get daily content talking about your favorite team talking Huskers. It is a no-brainer. It takes two seconds. Join this family of over 12,000 strong. Hit that subscribe button. Thank you so much. Without further ado, we have a lot to talk about. It was announced earlier this week that the greatest defensive tackle in the history of college football. Yes, you heard me correctly. The greatest number one, arguably the greatest Nebraska corner of all time, Nadam Kansu, has retired from the game after 15 seasons in the National Football League. Will go down as one of the greatest of all time at any position, period. His level of dominance will never be matched. Whether it was in high school, college, NFL, he will go down as a first bout Hall of Famer, a Super Bowl champion, multiple allp pros, Pro Bowls, every accolade you can imagine, he has that. And ever since his announcement of retirement, the rumors have begun this role by multiple Nebraska fans, some credible sources that he could be in line to join this Nebraska coaching staff sooner rather than later. And you know what? He’s even hinted at over the past couple months that he could be interested in coaching. He’s a very ambitious guy. He’s interested in the development of young men, making them better players on and off the field. So, this could very well happen. There have been a lot of things moving behind the scenes. We’ll talk about as the video progresses, but I want to get things started with the pros and the cons. We’ll get back to is this actually going to happen? What’s been going on within that Nebraska athletic department? But if the Oscars were to actually make this move, would this even be good in the first place? What are the pros and the cons? Well, right off the bat, the pros are very evident. He would instantly have the most credibility out of any coach on this staff. Nobody can match his experience. He’s done at the highest level, whether it was in high school, whether it was in college, whether it’s in the NFL. He can bring the best out of these guys. He can develop at a high level just with his experience alone. So, he brings that experience. He brings that credibility. he would instantly become one of Nebraska’s best recruiters on the staff. Yes, he has no experience recruiting, sure, but he’s like a Deion Sanders figure where when Deion Sanders got to Colorado, when he got to Jackson State, he instantly started getting guys like Travis Hunter, fivestar, fourstar corners because if you’re a corner, you want to be developed by the best. You want to go to Deion Sanders school. It’s the same deal with Domu. If you were to go to Nebraska and be our defensive line coach or even be a recruiter, if you’re a defensive lineman who wants to go to the NFL, wants to be a legend, you’re going to come to Nebraska to be developed by the best. So Nebraska right now, they’re objectively struggling with their Dline recruiting. If Se were to be hired here in literally any role, that would change overnight. Some five stars would be interested in Nebraska. Some four stars, some big-time names. If we want a dominant pass rush again, it all starts with potentially hiring him. You know, he’s also very super high energy, who’s super charismatic. He’s somebody who’s super ambitious and super smart. He would fit this Matt Ro culture immediately. And then last but not least, talking about the pros, Matt Rule has emphasized bringing back old Huskers back into the fold over the past couple years. Bringing back Brett Maher and moving him to this staff. You know, he’s seen a couple guys who are past Nebraska legend like a Trell Far like Adam Carricker, a couple other guys. They’ve brought them back for spring games. They’ve brought them back for different events. They want them to join the staff and be a part of this culture. So, you know, Matt Rules has done a very good job of bringing some old Huskers back of pretty much every single era, whether it was the 70s, ‘ 80s, 90s, 2000, 2010s, it doesn’t matter. He’s bringing these guys back into the fold and he wants them to be a part of this program. So, it’s very evident that if Adam were to give him the green light, Mald would say yes, please join this staff. Now, the only couple cons I can think of before we talk about is this actually going to happen and what’s going on behind the scenes. The only cons that I can think of if this were to happen, you know, is obviously Nomu’s lack of experience. I said this all the time where just because you’re a dominant player doesn’t mean you’re going to be a dominant coach. Because we’ve seen that all the time where, you know, these these players will get into coaching and they’ll flop, right? They’re just not very good at it. You you can be a good player, but it doesn’t mean you’re good at replicating that on your player. So, you know, Domu, while he was the greatest of all time, doesn’t mean he’s a good coach. Now, I think honestly, if I’m going to be honest with you, I think he’d be a phenomenal coach because he’s so smart. Some of these football players, football’s life for them, but they’re just not super smart individuals off the field and that’s why they’re not successful with the X and O’s. Namicon Sue is as smart as it gets. I mean, his his IQ is incredible. We’ll get back to that. So, I think he would be a great coach. I’m not really worried about that con. And the other only other con is, you know, I’m going to sue somebody who is very ambitious. I don’t know if football is necessarily his path going forward, right? Again, some of these other guys, football’s life. It’s a no-brainer once you’re done with your playing career to get into coaching. Sue is not that way. He’s interested in multiple things, investing, finance, accounting. He’s interested in engineering. So, it’s really not a no-brainer for him to get into football. He could go the other routes. You know, he’s not doing it for the money. He’s just doing it for what he loves. And who says he loves football coaching more than anything else? I just don’t know that. So, that’s the only con where if you were to join this Nebraska coaching staff, it might not be a long-term thing. He might only be around for a couple years, but I’ll take anything I can get from Adam Ku. If he’s around for only one here, I’ll take it because I need this guy around this program. So, you know, those are the pros and the cons. If he would actually be hired here, but let’s talk about what’s been going on behind the scenes. Will this actually happen? My impression is that if Sue gives him the green light, if Sue says, “Hey, I want to join this staff in any capacity,” Nebraska will take him. Absolutely. They will take him. Okay. It’s a no-brainer. If Nadam Kassu says, “Hey, I want to come back.” You say, “Yes, sir.” When will you start? You could start immediately. You can start tomorrow. That that’s that’s what I’m saying to my if I’m that rule. So, yes, if if he wants to come back and he wants to be a coach, the doors wide open. Okay. But it’s his decision. Nebraska’s push I is Nebraska pushing for it? I don’t know. It’s really down to him, though. And again, we just talked about it like he’s somebody who’s very ambitious. He could get into finance. He could get into engineering. Like, if you follow him on social media, he’s talking about those things daily. I just don’t know if football is his passion going forward. Okay. He’s somebody who’s just so valuable as a mind where you just want him around any capacity. So I just don’t know if he’s going to settle for being a coach because frankly I think his I think his future is a lot brighter than that. You know a lot of people settle with being a coach. He’s not going to settle. So I just don’t know if that’s really in his cards. And then at the exact same time if he were to be hired what is that role going to look like? Because I think it could very well happen. Maybe not this year but next year in you know very small role just for a couple years. I don’t think he would be a defensive line coach because we already have our guy there in Terry Brown. But I think he would help out potentially in the front office. He’s somebody who’s interested in finance. I think the NIL would be right down his department, right? Like that. He could very well help out with our NIL, help out in the recruiting game. He could be an adviser for the program. Just kind of help out in practice. Come around every now and then. You don’t have to live here. You just have to come around and kind of help out. Or you could just be a spokesperson for the program, right? When we need you to be at an event, you know, to raise some money even, right? Be there, right? He could just help out the program in those small aspects. So, is he going to be our next defensive line coach? Probably not. I think we got a guy from the long-term and and Terry Bratton, but you know, he’s somebody who in any capacity, I would love him to join the staff, maybe as an adviser to help out with recruiting just a little bit because if he can get his hands on this team, on this defensive line department, he’s going to make it better with his pedigree, with his experience, and you know, frankly, if you want five stars to come to Lincoln, you want him to come back. Okay? I would I’m going to make a hot take right now. If I had the option, I don’t have the option to do this. If I had the option to make defense to make Nama Ku the defensive line coach over Carrie, I would probably do it just because I think he would be so good as a recruiter and also think, you know, it’s going to be a no-brainer with how smart he is. He’d be a great developer. Now, is that actually going to happen? Probably not, but I could very well seem be a part of this program in the upcoming years. Now, talking really quickly about a couple other Nebraska players who could be joining this staff who I kind of have my eyes out for. You know, Levante David’s somebody who very well could be getting into football. football football coaching. You know, football’s life for him. So, when it’s all said and done with his playing career, probably got two or three years left. I could very well see him rejoin this coaching staff in some department. You got Rex Burkehead who just recently retired. I would love him to join this staff. You got Sam Cook who retired from the NFL at that punter spot. He’s right now coaching with the Ravens. He could join Nebraska maybe down the line as our special teams coach if Mike were to move on. Amir Abdullah recently stated on a couple podcasts that he wants to get into coaching very badly when he’s done with his playing career at Nebraska. Would that be that obvious destination? So Nebraska, they have no shortage of legends, you know, in the 2000s, in the early, you know, in in the early 2010s who could very well join the staff very very soon and with their NFL experience, all four of those guys were had successful NFL careers. They could be great recruiters and they could also be great developers and they could also be, you know, examples for these young men, right? It’s one thing to be coached by Matt Rule, who’s obviously very charismatic, very charismatic, very much a player coach, but it’s another thing to be coached by somebody who’s done at a high level before, who who has that experience of being in the NFL, right? That’s a little bit different. Okay. So, while none of these guys are going to be head coached like Matt, it’d be nice to have a player, you know, positional coach who was in the NFL like a like an Amir Abdullah who could teach these guys. So, those are somebody some guys who I have my eyes out for. So, all right guys, let me know your thoughts down below. Would you be open to an Namaku joining this coaching staff? 1. Man!
Honestly this would be HUGE and if we could pull it off sooner than later, like next day or two , we can probably count Valdin Sone as a Husker. Plus some huge Dlineman flips

  2. Suh has a lot going on business wise, I'm not sure he is interested in coaching, but I could be wrong

  3. He's never coached a day in his life. Would he be a good fit who knows. I would continue to have the agency they use to find candidates for hiring and not just hire former players without any thought put into it . All i know is fall camp is right around the corner .

  4. Let's not. He wasn't exactly popular amongst his teammates, not to mention some of his NFL antics. Also, just because he was an outstanding, physically gifted DT doesn't mean he's a leader. In my opinion, he would have a relatively difficult time connecting with young players. I don't hate the guy, but I'm doubtful of the fit, or lack thereof. If they want to hire him in a consulting role, maybe as the face of recruiting, cool I guess.

  5. Great players don’t always make good coaches. Some great coaches never even played the game. Coach Cook never played Volleyball.

  6. I wouldn't like him as a coach, he doesn't seem to have the kind of personality for it that would be great for the players and recruits. We don't need ex players, we need coaches that have what it takes with proof and evidence that they can do what needs to be done and are best for the program. We tried Frost, enough is enough with former player hires unless they are more than a popular hire.

  7. Once, on the Runza reader board sign at 27th and Pine Lake, it said: Anyone named Ndamukong eats here for free. Time for Runza to back that up.

  8. Dude, could you imagine the 2 headed monster of Suh recruiting and taking reps with the team & Brandon coaching & developing players…wow

  9. Suh won’t coach here be real. He has multiple businesses he runs, investments he’s working on etc. he has no real time to be a coach.

  10. Seven (7), months ago on FIVE BIG Candidates For Nebraska's NEXT Defensive Coordinator I called it on Ndamukong Suh. (Mr Dittman poo-pooed the whole thing on one of his next podcasts) [Here are my receipts from that VLOG: (1) "If TKnight moves on……a wildcard DL Coach replacement: Ndamukong Suh". (2) (response to comment) > "Yes he is a businessman…. yet (a) he loves NE football, (b) has previously indicated he would do anything to help the program, and (c) expressed an interest in coaching NE 9/11/22". (3). The 9/11/22 date is Suh's comment on wanting to come back (internet article). Glad to see WD (finally) now on board…. !

  11. Just because a player was one of the best at his position, does not make a good coach. Case in point, I love Tommy Frazier but why was he not recruited to come back to Nebraska as a coach? What about Frost?????

  12. Just because a guy was an exceptional player, doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good coach.

Not to mention, this isn’t a guy who played as a reserve for several years. This is a guy who got first round money and got paid superstar money for a decade. The man doesn’t ever need to work again.

  13. 😂 Suh isn’t leaving his beautiful multimillion house in the best state to come here and be at the bottom of the staff for pennies. Has never coached before and who said he was even interested in coaching

  14. Suh's dad, before he passed away, told him to move on from football to focus on something else. I could see him being a consultant for the team, but that is about it.
