A quick rundown of the Tigers team to go today. In goal is Steve Wilson, number two Ray Wallace. Number three, Jimmy Graham. Number four, Gary Hobson, Paul Cox five, Greg Abbott at six, Richard Peacock at seven. Number eight, Neil Man. Number nine, Linton Brown. Number 10 Dean Winders, and number 11 Craig Lford. The substitutes for the Tigers today, number 12 Alan Fetis. Number 14, David Male, and a goalkeeping substitute Neil Allison. [Music] And a rundown of the Oxford team today. In goal is Phil Whitehead. Number two, Les Robinson. Number three, Mickey Lewis. Number four, Alex Dyier. Number five, Matt Elliot. Number six, Tony Dobson. Matthew Murphy at seven. Number eight, Dave Smith. Number nine, Paul Moody. Number 10, John Burn. And number 11, Robert Ford. And the substitutes for Oxford today, number 12, David Rush. Number 14, Mark Duce. And the goalkeeping substitute, Mark Degan. Your man in the middle today is Mr. John Watson of Whitley Bay and the linesman the red flag Mr. AC Heartvel and the yellow flag Mr. R Tiffen. [Music] Well, there couldn’t really been a worse time this season for to leave Roxford to come and play City here at Bri Park to beat them 4-0 away at the in the opening day of the season and looking to do the double O the Tiger today. Tigers with a terrible injury problem at the moment with five of the first team out which forced Dolan into the decision to sign two one month loan signings in the form of Ray Wallace and Paul Cox. [Music] The match sponsor today is PB Motors and the match ball sponsor is Hull City Works Limited. So, thanks to them. [Music] 4 p.m. This is [Music] game. [Music] Sure, Mr. Watson. we get this match underway soon. [Music] Interesting to note in the whole city side today that Alan Fetis, the usual whole city goalkeeper, has been played in number 12 as an outfield player and Neil Allison, the reserve center back usually has been named as the goalkeeping substitute. Well, usually Dolan said that Alan Fetis knocks the goals in in practice. So I’m sure that with the injury crisis that’s what inspired into that decision. [Music] It’ll be Linton Brown kicking the ball to Greg Abbott now to get this game underway. [Music] Now here’s Jimmy Graham. [Music] That’s a long ball there perhaps looking for Paul Moody. Headed out by Gary Hobson. Little flick by Les Robinson. That’s a long ball there towards Moody. Welcome out by Hobson. No, it’s a first touch for Mickey Lewis. Alex Dier. [Music] And that’s a long ball there going straight out of play for the first throw of the game for the Tigers. Here’s [Music] John Burn. Kicks the ball out for a throw in. And here’s the new boy, Ray Wallace on a monthlong signing from Stoke. Twin brother of course of the Rod Wallace, the lead United striker, and Danny Wallace, the Birmingham City winger. Now here’s Jimmy Graham looking to flick a ball through for Dean Windus there and well cut out by the Oxford skipper. Here’s Robert Ford now finds Moody and it’ll be cut out by the other new boy here at Booby Park today, Paul Cox. [Music] Paul Cox currently on loan from Knox County. played against Tigers in the cup matches last season. Now that’s a good cross in. Wilson jumps and claims the ball comfortably. Now that’s a quick good throw by Wilson. Here’s Craig Lford under pressure from Matthew Murphy. Nice ball to Linton Brown. Looks to turn and wins the first corner of the game. [Music] Corner now be taken by Richard Peacock. Hobson’s up from defense making a run and the ball’s eventually cleared by Alex Dier. [Music] And now have won another corner there. [Music] Just Gra and Wallace staying back. Hobson’s up in the box there from defense. Cross comes in. There’s the header and it’s just over there by Neil Man. Great header though. Good cross in by Richard Peacock. Neil man at the near post just flicked the header on. It had beaten the keeper but it just sailed just over the crossbar. That was a good start there for the Tigers though. Two corners in quick succession. Now here’s Whitehead with his first touch and the ball safely out of the play for a Tigers throw. [Music] Here’s [Music] Matt Elliot out to Dier. [Music] Here’s Wallace now under pressure from Moody. And the referee gives a goal kick. There’s good shielding there by Ray Wallace. [Music] The number five here, Paul Cox, comes in at center back in place of the injured former Blackburn player Rob Duh with stitches in his foot after the defeat at Swansea last week. Those balls out of play by ear. Sorry. Right. Here’s Greg Abbott. [Music] There’s Wallace with the flick. [Music] [Music] Now, here’s Dario with the Oxford throwing. [Music] Flick over there looking for Linton Brown. Safely ced by Phil Whitehead. [Music] [Music] Ah, it’s good linking there between Peacock and Wallace, but that’s a not a really a very good ball there. Bit of a hopeful ball by Wallace up field. Perhaps looking for Dean Winders, but he was nowhere near. [Music] Flick header there by Hobson. Now here’s Moody. [Music] Les Rob Robinson now. Fits the ball in there. Who’s looking there for Matthew Murphy? And there’s good clearance there by Jimmy Graham up to Linton Brown. So nice play by Elliot there. Switching play out to Alex Dier on the left and the shots there by the veteran John Burn. No trouble though for Steve Wilson. The ball was going well wide. [Music] Well, Oxford have had a confident start at Bri Park today so far. It’s not surprising really. They come here on the back of five straight league wins and they’ll be looking to extend that today. [Music] That ball out there looking for Robert Ford. Fouled though by Wallace. [Music] There’s Matt Elliot now coming up from defense for Oxford [Music] and Tony Dobson. It’ll be Dier with the kick. The cross comes in. Dobson heads it. Oh, that was an absolute sitter there. The cross, the header came in there from Dobson. It had beaten Steve Wilson. He was Steve Wilson was absolutely stranded there in his goal. All it needed is a little header to the near post and somehow he managed to head it just wide. [Music] Long ball there looking for Wind up towards Moody. The long ball there by Smith but looking for Burn [Music] Wind. That’s a nice ball. Looking to utilize the pain of L pace of Linson Brown. [Music] So now finds Jimmy Graham. [Music] Here’s why [Music] headed there by Moody and Smith. Oh, there’s Smith, Moody, and Mickey Lewis. There’s a good football by Ro O Oxford at the moment. It’s a nice ball in. It goes straight through to Steve Wilson. Now it’s another quick ball out to Craig Lford running down this left hand side. Oh, nice ball there by Lford to find Linton Brown. And the ball eventually away by Elliot. Nearly worked against them. Un desperately lucky to get away with that whole city. was the back pass on Gary Hobson going over Steve Wilson. He knew he couldn’t handle it and he took a gamble really that that was going wide. Couldn’t get to it with his head. Very fortunate there, the Tigers that they got away with just the corner. [Music] Now Ford to Moody looks to turn and it’s a goal kick. [Music] Well, nearly 10 minutes played here at Booby Park. The score at the moment is still Whole City nil, Oxford United nil. [Music] Don’t get too tight on the score. Missing a lot of push in there, referee. [Music] Good. [Music] All Abbert could do there just kick the ball out of play for a Oxford United throw. [Music] The ball out by Neil Man there. Interesting today that Dolan’s playing both Neil Neil man and Greg Abbott in midfield. It’s usually Chris Lee in place of one of the two, but he obviously can’t be playing today because he’s gone down with chickenpox. So here’s Elliot [Music] Moody top scoring joint top scoring division so far 19 goals that was good battling should have got it back now. [Music] There’s a foul there on Dobson by Jimmy Graeme. Sorry, Dave Smith. [Music] It’ll be Robinson now with the free kick. [Music] Falls to Wallace. He’ll have to clear it. And he does. And that’s not a bad clearance. Lint Brown now looking to get past Alex Dyier. Good turn though there by Alex Dyier. Oh, now this is good play by Oxford. Here’s John Burn. And no real communication there between John Burn and Matthew Murphy. [Music] Now burn there. Puts the ball straight to Craig Lford trying to create a chance now for hole. Good tackle by Mickey Lewis. [Music] Good interception there from Jimmy Graham’s ball. And he had another lack of communication there between the Oxford players, this time between Dave Smith and Paul Moody. [Music] Terry Dolan today playing that familiar 442 formation with Brown and Windus up front. And now that’s a decent ball there for Burn to run on to a great tackle by what by Cox there. A vital tackle in fact. I think it was a bit of vain hope there by Burn that he went down perhaps looking for the free kick. The referee saw no reason to give it. Here’s Robinson. [Music] Murphy cross comes in. Well, not a very good clearance by Hobson there as Lucky Peacock was there to clear up. [Music] [Music] Here’s Smith. Well, there was no one there for that ball by Mickey Lewis to run on to. Straight through to Steve Wilson. [Music] Here’s [Music] Burn now. That’s a nice ball by Burn and a great header by Wallace. Dy now hits the ball in straight to Steve Wilson. [Music] The last time whole city played at Bri Park was on the 19th of November where they lost 2-0 to Bristol Rovers in which wasn’t really a very good performance for the Tigers. They’ll be looking to do better than that today. The last time they won here Park was on the 1st of November against York City where the Tigers beat the Men 3. [Music] man there wins a thread for Hull. [Music] That’s a nice little ball now for Linton Brown and a good ball. The cross comes in and here’s Loftford. Oh, and how did Laughford miss that one? An absolute sitter there for Craig Lford. The keeper had missed it completely. All he had to do was chip it over a defender on the ground and it was one nil to the Tigers. But somehow he got a deflection. I think he just tried to smack it in and hope for the best. It got a deflection off the defender and sailed high over the Oxford bar. It’s not all bad though now cuz Hull City have got a corner out of it. trying now to make up for that mistake which would surely should surely have put the Tigers on give the Tigers a one-nil lead and now there is that one-0 lead coming from Dean Winders it was a great cross in there from Peacock and there was Dean Winders no one was picking up the runner and Dean Winders just stolen and sides footed an easy volley past Whitfield field. Well, that goal there coming in the 70th minute. A great start for whole City here. It was a corner. Craig Laughford really should have scored, but he got a corner out of it. Richard Peacock swung the crossing. Nobody was picking up the runner, and you can’t afford to do that when it’s that man, Dean Winders. and he came into the box and put an easy side foot volley past the stranded Paul Whitehead. Really had no chance and that means that here at Booty Park after 17 minutes the score is Hull City won Oxford United nil. [Music] There’s not a player down. I’m not sure who it is right now. [Music] They’ll continue the game. And it was Dave Smith there down with the injury, but he’s okay and he’ll continue the game. [Music] Moody there jumps and City lucky that Elliot didn’t connect with that one. And now it’s a throwing to Hull. Well, this the first of a couple of difficult games coming up here at BY Park for the Tigers, which is partly the reason why Dolan’s got these two loan signings. They’ve got this game against Oxford and then they on Boxing Day they’re playing Huddersfield, another big team in the second division today here at Booster Pad. Now here’s Jimmy Graham. The crowd really getting behind them. [Music] The referee now wanting a word. [Music] I think that’s the number seven Matthew Murphy for for Oxford. It’ll be a yellow card. No, that’s the number two Les Robinson there with the first booking of the game. Yellow card there for Les Robinson. Looks like it might be Winders the goal scorer to take this FK. [Music] And that’s a good crack there by Dean Wind. Enough power but quite far wide really. [Music] That ball there by Robinson straight out to play. [Music] Well, the ball went out to play there. Be a throw to the Tigers. looking to hold on to this lead now. [Music] Well, there’s two managers of the month here battling it out. There was two months ago. Terry Dolan got the award and Denny Smith was the manager of the month for last last month. is Wind. That was a blatant foul there on Dean Winders. [Music] The referee lets that one go. Free kick to Hull. [Music] The cross comes in. An easy out by Alex Dier. [Music] Showed good awareness. Jimmy Graham knew Wallace was there. Head a little header back to him. Nice flick by Windus there and it looked to be obstruction there but the referee’s played the game on. Now here’s the speedy winger Robert Ford running down the left. Moody’s making a good run but it hits it too far ahead of Moody. Straight into the waiting arms of Steve Wilson. Here’s [Music] Jimmy Graham now. Gets the ball back. Good clearance by Steve Wilson. [Music] Well, the whole city six in the division at the moment on 33 points with Oxford top of the league with 43 points. And it’d be good if the Tigers could win today to reduce that lead to just seven points. And to move the Tigers certainly above crew riding crew crew lose or draw who incidentally Tigers recorded their biggest home win of the season over beating Crew 71. And now here’s Linton Brown. Might use his pace. An easy ball back though for Tony Dobson. [Music] Well, not a very good ball there by Paul Whitehead under pressure from Linton Brown. And that’s another good flick by Dean Winders. Just too long for Craig Lford. [Music] John B get this ball. Switching play out well to Alex Dier. the middle. Nice header by Moody there. Puts Burn away in the other half of the strike force which has done well this season. And now the ball’s fallen to number 10 Burn. And a good save by Steve Wilson there. The ball just dropped at the feet of B. He was steaming in. Steve Wilson did well to get that ball and hold on to it. Here’s [Music] Peacock. Looking for Abbert there. Long ball there looking for Ford and headed out of play by Paul Cox. [Music] Good interception there by Jimmy Graeme. Hits a long ball up, but there’s no one there. [Music] There’s Linton Brown, whole city’s top scorer so far this season with 11 goals, including a hattick against Crew. Robinson will hit this one up long. looked to go out there off the Oxford player and little City throwing. [Music] Nice ball there by Jimmy Graeme looking for Linton Brown. [Music] [Music] [Music] The foul there on Jimmy Graham by Paul Moody. [Music] That’s a nice ball in looking for Dean Windis. The header in the end came from Matt Elliot. He was going with quite a pace, but it’s good awareness there from Phil Whitehead to gather that one. [Music] Here’s the old man now making a good run. [Music] Almost a mix up there by the Oxford defenders. Now he goes Smith to Robinson and he finds Moody. [Music] Good ball by Robinson, but Moody won’t have the pace to get there. The clearance made well by Gary Hobson. And now Lee Winders now is on side. He’s got one with the keeper. He must score surely. And he does. And that’s number two for Neas. Well, where were the defense there? The defense were playing the offside chart. They were right up near the halfway line and Dean Windus after the ball of play snuck behind them. He was on side only slightly but he stole through and scored. [Music] Well, that goal there coming from nowhere really. [Music] The ball just came over the top of the Oxford defense. Dean Windis really looked to be offside, but he must have moved after the ball was played. The flag stayed down. He went through and he was one-on-one on the keeper. He doesn’t miss those and it’s two-0 to the Tigers. [Music] That goal there, second for the Tigers and the second for the Dean Winders today. Coming in the 27th minute here at BU Park. The score now whole city 2 Oxford United nil. The ball over for Elliot to jump. Well gathered by Steve Wilson. [Music] [Music] Robinson there with a header. Just succeeds in finding Jimmy Graham. [Music] Now it’s Paul Moody. [Music] Oh, it’s a swirling ball there. Went out to play. Here’s [Music] Burn Ford. And Ford puts the ball over there for Murphy. And it’s easily guided by Steve Wilson. [Music] All right. [Music] Here’s Dean Winders with a lob, but it’s quite a long way over Phil Whiteheads bar there. Well, Dean W, I’m sure thinking he can score from anywhere with two goals already this game. Looking for his first hattick of this season. [Music] And I’m sure Oxford can’t believe that they’re playing the same team which they beat 4-0il on the opening day of the season. Here’s Jimmy Graham now. Neil man [Music] referee blown a bit late there. Thought perhaps Neil Man would have got done there for hand ball, but it was a free kick. And it’ll be Jimmy Graham to take. [Music] Ball in for Jimmy Graeme. It’ll be headed away by Dier only as far as Neil man. And now there could be a counterattack here for Oxford with Ford out to Moody. Burns making a good run at the far post. I think Moody will try and find him. And he he does and he the ball goes back in. And Paul Moody there unmarked running into the far post just succeeding in hitting the side netting. Fortunate let off there for the Tigers. Not wanting to let Oxford United back into this game. [Music] Well, out of play there by Dobson City throwing [Music] Len Brown tries to find D with us. Good play there though by Elliot. Little flick with the outside of his foot. And it’s a blatant trip early there by Neil Man. Clumsy there. [Music] Not a bad ball towards Moody. Looking for the flick for Murphy. Straight into the arms of waiting Steve Wilson. [Music] Well, the Tigers certainly looking confident so far in this first half. Just over half an hour gone. Score here at BY Park. Whole city two, Oxford United nil. Two goals from Dean Windis. 10 minutes apart on 1727 as the cross comes in and the head is made there by Craig Lford. But it’s straight into the arms of Phil Whitehead. [Music] Having said that though, Oxford United haven’t played badly. They’ve had some good buildup plays and some good attacks. Perhaps really should have got one back for that header by Moody. Now the referee’s allowed advantage with Neil man. Now looks at the cross. [Music] Dean Winders there correctly perhaps telling him to should use Craig Lford. Now there’s a player down. Looks like it’s the Tiger skipper, Greg Abbott. Receiving treatment now from Greg Abbott from Jeff Radcliffe. [Music] Looks like he’ll continue with the game. [Music] Moody wins the header there. Smith away by Graeme. Here’s Dobson. Oh, that’s a mix up there by the City defense by Gary Hobson. Ball look to get the cross in here past Jimmy Graham and he does. Oh, and it’s off the bar and cleared off. Cleared by Richard Peacock. Well, that really should have been 2-1 there. The cross came in from Burn. There was little Tony Robert Ford running in at the far post. Nobody marking him. Got the header in. It beaten Steve Wilson, but it was beaten by the bar unfortunate for Oxford. And then it was cleared off the line. The second shot by Richard Peacock [Music] played out at the moment. Lford [Music] It’ll be okay to continue the game. [Music] Steve Wilson now with the ball up towards Wind. [Music] What was all right? [Music] It’s a long ball up there. Flick on by Burn to Moody and a good tackle there by Paul Cox. [Music] Ball away there by Jimmy Graeme up towards Dean Windness. And that’s a nice little flip by Dean Wind. The ball out there to Linton Brown just too long. And Linton Brown rightly there applauding the vision of Dean Winders. Unfortunate though just sailed about an inch above his head. [Music] The referee saw a foul there by Linton Brown on Alex Dier. [Music] Well, Steve Wilson did well to get out there to gather that one. There’s Bern again. [Music] Elliot’s missed it. Here’s Dobson. Hits the ball out for a whole city throw in. [Music] whole City now with another throw. [Music] Lford now looking to get the cross in. Hobson now hits a long ball up. Straight out of play though for a goal kick to Rob Oxford. [Music] Well, Neil man there just gave the ball away to Murphy. Well, it’s Lewis out now to Dyers. Good run here by Dier. Got past Peacock. [Music] Looks for Robinson and finds him. Robinson though just pokes the ball into the middle and it’s cleared by Greg Abbott. [Music] Good. [Music] There we are. [Music] That is Peacock. He’s got Windows to his right. Chooses to use him. Linton Bounds making a good run at the far post. And well claimed by Phil Whitehead. [Music] Well, just about 5 minutes to go now here at Booy Park in this top of the division clash between Whole City Oxford United. The score here it’s whole city two Oxford United N [Music] well done keep your shape Gary [Music] header there by Dier back to Phil Whitehead. Here’s [Music] Ben. Finds Robinson. There’s a foul there by Dean Windness. Look to trip Robinson. [Music] Now the cross comes in. The header there was by Smith. Moody now gets the ball back in [Music] and it’s flicked straight into the arms of Steve Wilson. I’m sure Steve Wilson now be in no hurry to kick this ball with under five minutes remaining with the Tigers with a two-nil lead. looking not to concede one before Halime. [Music] defending spring. [Music] Here’s Burn now and away by Hobson. There’s an offside flag up there though against Wind or Brown. [Music] Well, City playing this game how they like to play it. Sit back and defend while the other team attacks, soak up all the pressure, then hit them on the break. Yet another free kick now to Oxford. Linton Brown I don’t think very happy with the referee with his couple of recent decisions. [Music] Robinson chips the ball in [Music] by Burn there and the shot comes in there and it’s scored. [Music] Well, that goal there coming from the center back, Matt Elliot. [Music] Well, that was a good goal there by Matt Elliot. The ball came to burn just outside the box. He chipped a little ball in. Elliot controlled it turn and hit a great volley past a stranded really Steve Wilson. Couldn’t do anything about that one. And so with about one or two minutes to go until Halime, the score here at BY Park is Whole City 2, Oxford United one. [Music] There’s Dier puts a good ball out for Moody if he’s got the pace to get past Cox. And Cox flicks the ball back to Wilson. clears up to Wallace. The two new lads there linking up to clear the ball straight up to Phil White. Dad go [Music] 44. The shot there from number seven, Matthew Murphy. No problem there for Steve Wilson. Yeah. [Music] Away there by the goal score Elliot to Ford [Music] and away by Dobson. [Music] header there would by Dobson. No, here’s Linton Brown. looked to put the ball through there for Wind. [Music] Nice ball there by Jimmy Graham. [Music] Here’s Moody looking for his 20th of the season, but he won’t get it there cuz that was a fine tackle by Neil Man. And that’s a nice ball over now for Linton Brown. And well taken by Phil Whitehead. Tiger still we’re into well into injury time now. The Tigers still looking for that goal to give them another restore that two goal cushion. Now here’s Burn. [Music] Lovely little flick there for Smith. And back to Burn. The cross comes in and well away by Gary Hobson. [Music] Now here’s Peacock just windless inside him. [Music] Now he’s got loads of space now Peacock to get this cross in. It’s towards Wind and the head is there and the ball just plucked out of the air there by Phil White head. Good move though there by the Tigers just before Halime but surely can’t be long now and the referee will blow now. Well, it’s been a fairly even game in terms of chances so far. Oxford United probably having more of the possession attacking the Tigers goal, but Hill City doing what they do best. They’ve soaked up all the pressure and then they’ve hit them on the break and have scored two goals coming in the 17th and 27th minute from Dean Winders. But then just before Halime, Oxford hit back with a Matt Elliot goal coming in the 44th minute. So the score here at Bri Park at Halime is Whole City 2, Oxford United one. [Music] Well, welcome back to the second half here at Bree Park. Tigers went into this halftime with a 2-1 lead over Oxford. Both goals coming from Dean Windness. The Oxford goal scored by the number five Matt Elliot. [Music] Oxford there with the kickoff. Here’s Dier. Nice play by Dier there, but intercepted by Peacock. [Music] Now the first throwing of this second half goes Oxford’s way. [Music] Here’s Burn. Well, both time teams are stuck with the same teams that played the first half. So, both managers obviously quite happy with their first half performance. Now, here’s Murphy. Moody perhaps took a bit of a risk there. Jimmy Graham. Oh no. [Music] Easily taken there by Steve Wilson. [Music] Here’s Burn. His back heel there. Cut out by Wallace. And now here’s Linton Brown. Nearly lucky there. Linton Brown. Get past Elliot. [Music] Here’s Dire. [Music] Well, that’s a nice ball through. [Music] It’ll be Ford with a shot and it’s just sneaks wide. Had Wilson beaten there. Ford came running in, got the ball. There was no defenders on him. Shot from outside the area. Just wide. But there’s an early chance there in the second half for Roxford to draw this game level. It’s Paul Cox on the ground. Looks to be something wrong with his ankle maybe. [Music] Well, all City certainly wants want another injury. The record of injuries at the moment is probably must be the worst in the league. They got Rob Dworth, the center back out with stitch in his foot after the Swansea game last week. Adam Lo, the right back has got tendinitis. Chris Lee, midfield, developed chickenpox and Chris Hargreaves and Matty Edison are both suspended. So, the Tigers really a brilliant performance so far considering that record that they’ve got to be 2-1 up here. [Music] There’s Moody there with the header, but it was holding by Cox. [Music] It’ll be Elliot with the kick. He has a shot. worldwide. [Music] Get warmed up. [Music] the right side. [Music] One way or the other. [Music] That’s a nice ball there by Murphy out to onto the wing and well cleared by Greg Abbott. Linton Brown there forcing Dobson to just hit the ball out of play for the whole city throwing. Right. [Music] [Music] head to one there by Moody. [Music] So here’s Jimmy Graham with the whole city throwing looking for Windus and he finds him. Puts the ball over looking for Brown. Brown might get in there. Paul Whitehead does well to get that one away. [Music] [Music] Looked to be obstruction there to me by Elliot on Dean Winders. The referee knows where he play on. [Music] This is good football now by the Tigers. [Music] And there’s a foul there on Dean Witness [Music] by number three there. Mickey Lewis in a dangerous position. [Music] [Applause] referee just making sure the wall’s right. It’s a direct free kick, but it’s the shot there. Forced the save there from Paul Whitehead. Well struck goal by Richard Peacock and he’s won the first corner of the second half to whole city. [Music] Cross comes in and it’s windless there again. The goalkeeper fumbles it. [Music] It’s a nice ball there by Dean Winders for Peacock to chase. And it’ll be a free kick there for that push there by Peacock on the number three Mickey Lewis. Lots [Music] of doing all right. [Music] Well, all six substitutes at the moment warming up on the touch line. Perhaps we might see a substitution from one side soon. That’s a nice ball there by Winders to Wallace. Looks for Brown there. That’s a nice ball for Brown and it’s well gathered by Phil Whitehead once again. [Music] [Music] referee there again with that decision in the whole city’s favor. It’ll be Cox with the free kick. [Music] Nice control by Windus there. Makes Oxford concede the corner. [Music] Corder now be taken by Greg Lford. [Music] Cross comes in, out by Elliot. [Music] Once again, the cross comes in and easily gathered by Paul Whitehead. [Music] Come on. [Music] All right. Ball there by Greg Abbott. The headed clearance by Steve Wilson. Here’s Ford. Well, there was a foul there by Greg Abbert. And now there’s a chance here with Craig Lford. Linton Brown’s making a good run outside him and he wins the throw in. [Music] bloody well there. That’s a nice ball now for Moody to chase and the clearance by Wilson. [Music] again. And that’s a lovely ball. But there this time there’s offside against Linton Brown. [Music] Moody there with a header. Well taken by Steve Wilson. [Music] Great. law for now. Oh, really? [Music] Heads are there made by Moody and out to play by hooked into play by Gary Hobson and that’ll be a Oxford throw in. Keep it. [Music] Well done. Well played there. Craig Lford making another good run. Well, Gary Hopson there straight into the path of Burn and the shot eventually blocked there by Cox. Here’s D now with a wave by Jimmy Graham. [Music] Now, here’s Phil Whitehead. [Music] Were you there by Wallace? Here’s Murphy finding Robinson. [Music] It’s good football at the moment with by Oxford. [Music] in in play by Elliot. Moody jumps. That’s upfield by Lford. There’s Windas [Music] and Lewis there that ball guard to play for a whole city throwing. [Music] Well, there’s a quarter of an hour gone in this second half here at Bri Park and the score still as it was at Halime. Whole City 2, Oxford United won. Now it’s a chance here for Oxford with Burn on the left. Tries the shot. Goes well wide though as Steve Wilson’s left upright. it. Don’t get into [Music] Don’t get into her. [Music] [Music] is Moody Burn there and well defended by Paul Cox. [Music] Well, this second half so far certainly hasn’t got the attacking excitement of the first half, but I’m sure that the Tigers fans won’t mind about that as long as they hold on to this 2-1 lead. [Music] And now there’s a substitution for Oxford. [Music] It’s the number 12 coming on David Rush in place of number 11 Robert Ford. [Music] Looks like that’s a direct swap. He’s gone on to the left wing. [Music] Well, the City fans certainly not happy about that decision. Everything seems to be going out way so far. And I have to admit, I didn’t see a foul there by Dean Winders. [Music] Now here’s Abbert. He’ll switch the ball out to Wallace inside to Abbert. It’s a long ball there looking for Brown. [Music] Now here’s Peacock. See the Tigers play some nice football at the moment. That’s a good ball for Peacock to run on to and they’ve won a corner. Well, Tigers look dangerous from corners so far in this game. Scored their first goal, left one and look dangerous in the other two or three that they’ve one [Music] below for now with this corner. [Music] Cross comes in and it’s well held by Phil Whitehead. [Music] It’s well held there by Steve Wilson. [Music] Well, not a very good kick there by Steve Wilson, but Peacock’s managed to keep it in play. [Music] Oh yeah, he’s got the Oxford with the throw in. Robinson. Here’s Smith. Smith. That’s a good cross in towards Moody. And Moody was unmarked there, but he obviously pushed Ray Wallace there. It’ll be a free kick to Hull. [Music] Well, there’s 25 minutes to go here at BY Park in this sense division encounter between Hull City and Oxford United. The score still stands as it did at halftime. Whole city 2, Oxford United won. Well, the referee now gives the free kick to Hull. He wants the words of number 12, David Rush, you just come on. [Music] So here’s Cox. [Music] Vital header there by Gary Hobson. [Music] rather fortunate there lford that that ball fell to Neil man in the end. [Music] He’ll try and get the cross in I’m sure Craig Lford. [Music] That’s a nice cross. Now here’s Richard Peacock gets the ball back in and a vital clearance there by Elliot. He had Winders coming in with him looking for his hatrick and it was the diving header by Matt Elliot that denied City a 31 lead. [Music] Here’s Dier now. [Music] There’s the ball on. Bad misjudgment there by Cox and Gary Hson did desperately well there to get the ball out of play to give the Tigers chance to regroup. [Music] Well, there’s a bit of a mix up here for the Tigers, but the shot looked to be coming in there from Murphy and eventually comes to Steve Wilson. [Music] And now Dean Winduses. Here’s Dean Windus away. He’s got Linton Brown. Gets the cross in and it’s well held by Phil Whitehead. Quickly out now. Here’s David Rush. And he’s well beaten there by Neil Man. Craps. Flick a ball over Linton Brown. He does so. But that’ll go out to play. [Music] That was a good penetrative run here by Alex Dier and a good block there by Ray Wallace. [Music] Here’s Moody. He’s got a rush inside him. [Music] Matali now has a shot high and wide though. [Music] And now whole city got a free kick. Is there a way? Well, there’s [Music] the yellow card there [Music] for the Oxford defender. Number five, the goal scorer, Matt Elliot, there on the yellow card. The ball comes in towards Wind. Windlessness though backing into Elliot and the free kick’s been taken quickly. That’s a good ball over for Moody. Just too long. Wouldn’t have mattered though because Mr. Tiffen had put his flag up for the offside against Paul Moody. [Music] Jimmy Graham there looking for Livingston Brown. Now here’s Rush. Gets the cross in and well away by Cox. Oh, that’s a bad ball there by Jimmy Graham. [Music] Dier there putting the ball in. And Wallace really needs to clear this. [Music] Good control there by Dean Wes. Can’t really afford to leave him unmatched. Looking to spread the ball wide there. Just too long though for Craig Lford. [Music] ball away in the end by Wallace. [Music] Rush flicks the ball over to Burn now. Good run by Dier. Chooses to use him. He’ll get the crossing now. Surely he does. So, and there was Moody running in there looking for his 20th goal of the season. Steve Wilson did well to stand his ground and grab the ball. [Music] Head to there by Robinson. Away by Jimmy Graham. Nice little ball over there looking for Dean Windus. And it’ll run for Craig Lford. He’s got Windus inside him. And I hurried that ball a bit there. Lford taken a bit more time. He could have crossed the ball into Wind. But that’s it is he saw the opportunity well but just hurried the ball in [Music] offside there against Mr. Half devel. [Music] Here’s [Music] Lewis. To burn. Here’s Robinson. That’s the ball in. Moody makes a header. Overhead kick maybe by Rush. He tried it, but it was well tackled by Jimmy Graham. [Music] Oh, Linton Brown there was under pressure there from Alex Dier and couldn’t quite get the ball to Richard Peacock. [Music] There’s D now with the ball in. [Music] And there Paul Cox concedes the corner be taken by Alex Dier. [Music] Cross comes in. Well defended there by Cox. Oh, this goal kick to hole. Okay. What was a quarter of an hour? [Music] Quarter an hour to go now here at Booby Park. No further score been added so far in this second half. Though there have been a few close chances, so the score is still whole city 2, Oxford United one. Good ball there by Linson Brown, but Dean Windis there was never really going to get there. That was a bit risky there by the keeper. Here’s Greg Abbott. Peacock. [Music] Peacock. Well tackled there. Now it’s a twoon three situation though. It’s good tackling by the Tigers. That’s a nice ball out for Lint Brown looking to get the cross in. Unlucky perhaps that it was intercepted by Dobson. Nice header there by Ray Wallace. [Music] That’s a nice ball over for Murphy. [Music] Here’s [Music] Jimmy Graham now for the Tigers. Well, City have been giving away needless balls and it might prove to be the downfall here with Burn. [Music] Puts the ball back to Alex Dier. The ball eventually headed behind for a corner by Gary Hobson. Well, everyone back in the whole city penalty box now except Lynson Brown trying to make sure Oxford don’t get back into this game with a goal as the cross is swung in. Wilson comes out, doesn’t get it the first attempt, but he makes no mistake in the second. [Music] just hit up field there by Jimmy Graham. [Music] Hobson tried to get the ball out the play. Now Wallace has passed it straight to Robinson and a shot eventually there by Moody well over Steve Wilson’s crossbar. [Music] Another substitution now for Oxford. It’ll be the number 14 Mark Drew to come on. [Music] The player coming off is number seven Matthew Murphy. Head to there back by Ray Wallace. [Music] Well, first touchdown for the substitute. Drews gives the ball away to Neil Man. Well, I think Linton Brown bottled out of that challenge there a bit. Let the defender come away with it. [Music] Dire there putting the ball over for Drew. The ball goes harmlessly out of play for a whole city throwing. [Music] Well, there have been chances for both teams in this second half. Who City have done well to hang on to that 2-1 lead. [Music] And it’s Fetis now. Could be coming on as an outfield player, usually a keeper. But here’s Burn and away by Neman. Could be a chance here for Dean Wind. Well, that’s good skill there to get the ball to Dier. [Music] Dier there gets the ball in. Hish out for a corner for the whole city goal kick. And it looks like Alan Fetis will definitely be coming on for a a run out up front. He’s usually the goalkeeper for whole City. The whole City fans really gone absolutely wild, but the prospect coming on for Linton Brown. He was doubtful before the game. It looks as if an injury may have slowed him down. So coming off is number 19 winners for number 12 Alan Fetis. Well, he’s he does it in training apparently, Alan Fetis. Let’s see how he does in a real match situation. Looks like he get his first touch and he wins the header with cheers for the whole City faithful. [Music] away there by Cox. [Music] Oh, Alan Fetis there putting the ball out to Dean Winders. The window fell looking for fetis. [Music] Bowler went out to play and it’ll be a throw in to Oxford. [Music] Moody there with a header. Winders there looking for Fetis. [Music] Now the ball’s come straight to Dean Winders. Neilman’s running through. Surely that’s holding, but he pass gets the ball out to Dean Winders. Here’s Peacock. [Music] ball. Now here comes Peacock. That’s a nice ball out for Wind. [Music] Back to Wallace. Back to Wind. [Music] Well, all that good football there wasted. Really tried to get the cross in, but then he go straight out to play for a goal kick to Watford. [Music] years to come back. That’s Oh, Dean Winders really should have controlled that and he knows it. Look at disgust really on his face that he let that one go. Would almost certainly been 3-1 to the Tigers. Now here’s Paul Moody at the other end with a chance and it pulls off a fine save there by Steve Wilson. told me first round. [Music] Just over five minutes left. It’ be a good time for Oxford to draw this game level if they could as the ball’s cleared there by Neil Man. [Music] [Music] Alan Fetis there still his hands still bandage after that thumb injury he received the reason why he hasn’t been playing in goal recently and also due to the fact that Wilson Steve Wilson’s enjoyed a brilliant running with his current form. Played superbly for the Tigers in recent matches. And I think that even if Alan Fetis hadn’t had the thumb injury, Steve Wilson would almost certainly be keeping him out the team at the moment. And now here is Steve Wilson to his goalkeeping fellow player Fetis. [Music] Throw in there. Take by Robinson. [Music] ball there looking for Moody and out of play by Cox. [Music] [Music] Cross comes in there towards Moody. Jimmy Graham really got to get this one clear. [Music] Van Wallace hits the ball forward looking for Winders. He’ll find Winders. Good control. Gets past one. [Music] Look to be pushed down there. Winders. The referee wave play on. Here’s Smith. [Music] Good play there once again by Wallace. The tiger dispossessed by Smith. [Music] Are they going to throw it? [Music] Three minutes. [Music] Here’s Dier. Just three minutes to go now. Nice. Moody with the shot. Well over the bar. [Music] [Music] [Music] Fetis there couldn’t quite control it. Deer surely pushed down there. [Music] I think he was a bit lucky there just to get away with the talking to. It’s a number five. Matali is already on a yellow card. Well, the City fans certainly thought that deserved a red. Well, the referee obviously didn’t think so, but it’s his decision that counts. Now, here’s Jimmy Graham now. [Music] Now that’s a good ball down to Nilman. He’s got Fetis in the middle. Here’s Fetis and he’s gone. Alan Fetis has gone. I bet he can’t believe it. It was Neil man out on the left running down the wing. crossed the ball inside and there was the goalkeeper Alan Fesus to hit the ball past Paul Whitehead and there’s a pitch invasion as the whole city fans go absolutely wild and well it might well I bet he just can’t believe it Alan Fetis and the City fans can’t either roll the line by Michael Alan. [Applause] Well, that goal coming there just one minute before full time from Alan Fetis with Neil Man making a run down the left. Alan Fetis in the middle waiting put a perfect ball in and Alan Fetis steered the ball past a stranded W Paul Whitehead. Well, surely that’ll be a headline in the papers tomorrow. It’s not often you see a goalkeeper come out as an outfield player and score on his debut. His outfield debut that is. Well, there’s chance of one Alan Fettis from the City stands. I’m sure this still hasn’t quite sunk in yet as here’s Matt Elliot. [Music] by the score here now as we approach full time. Less than a minute now. It’s whole City three. Oxford United one. Balls put back in. Whole city don’t want to concede one now. And there was a bit an absolute sitter there for David Rush but managed to about one yard out to hit the ball out. [Music] must surely be approaching now. The last kick of the game. [Music] Oh well. Oh, that’s a good ball out for Dean Windness now. Looking for number four for the Tigers. It must surely. Oh, and he managed to steer the ball just wide. Unlucky there. Dean Winders looking for his hat trick. [Music] Well, there’s shouts of Dino from the fans, but I’m sure that his hatrick now is gone in this match. Surely can’t be long left. Wallace there puts a nice ball in. Whole city goal kick. [Music] [Music] Well, it’s been a good performance by the Tigers so far. Good battling though. Is Fetis. He might look for number two as Winders will look to get this cross in. But it be an Oxford throw in. [Music] Well, it’s like it’d be a shame really to end this match on a bad note, but looks like that’s what’ll happen as Dean W’s book there. His mouth once again getting him into trouble as it’s done so many times before. And that ball was out of play for a whole city throw in. [Music] Well, about three minutes of injury time played. They really can’t be long left now. Here’s Dean Winders. And well away by Elliot. Now here’s the substitute Rush looking for Moody for the consolation goal. Referee looks in his watch. Surely not long left now. all the gear. [Music] Goal kick now to hole. [Music] [Music] There’s Steve Wilson. Knocks the ball up. Neil man jumps. He’s beaten in the air and the final whistle goes and the whole city fans go absolutely wild. It’s been a brilliant match here at Bri Park. Both teams have had their chances, but it’s Hill City have taken their chances. The first one on 17 minutes the ball was chipped over and Dean Winderson there was one-on-one and fired the ball past Paul Whitehead. The second came exactly 10 minutes later as Dean Winders broke through and scored once again past Paul Whitehead. Then Oxford got back into the game on the 44th minute. Matt Elliot controlling the B superbly six yds out and firing past Steve Wilson. And then the real breakthrough came and I’m sure Alan Fetis can’t believe it. Alan Fetis came on about a quarter of an hour to go. Whole City with a 2-1 lead. Alan Fetis usually the goalkeeping substitute. He was up front and Neil man came running down the left. Alan Fetis was just waiting down the middle. The ball came into him and when he hit it and went in, I bet he couldn’t believe it cuz the crowd certainly couldn’t. By the way, that fine Alan Fetis goal capped a fine performance for the Tigers here at Booy Park today. And it end for me, Jeff Serby from a jubilant booy park. The score here, whole city three, Oxford United one. [Music] [Applause] [Music]
