First time on a good position for a birdie and puff. Gone.
I’ve been playing for a few months now.
I guess I gotta keep trying.

I feel your pain, I can tell you that the second time I had a birdie putt the flag was taken out

  2. Because they were playing in a scramble. Does that really count as a birdie?

  3. ConfidantlyCorrect

This was basically me on Sunday, about to get my first eagle ever.

Literally the same distance, lipped out on the left.

  4. Physical-Fennel2989

Pushed it a bit, wind’s off the left

  5. LB-Skywalka

Pull the pin and take the glove off. The golf gods taught you a lesson here.

  6. GibsonBluesGuy

Should have taken the glove off….rookie mistake.

  7. BrenAum24

I bet you’ll take the pin out going forward. Still don’t understand this new theme of always leaving it in lol

  8. BaldInkedandBearded

Dude why is the stick still in? At that distance you’re begging for it.

  9. MollyWhapped

Stupid game or stupid call not yanking the flag? (The answer is both 😂)

  10. ridinbend

In case it hasn’t been said, you would have made your birdie putt if the flag wasn’t in the hole.

Friends let you down. Pull the flag take your glove off

  12. Big_Satisfaction_644

Damn hammered that, gotta miss a few before it rolls in!

  13. redditnor24

You couldn’t wait to walk away from that thing. You don’t see the fadeaway putt often. But, there it is.

Gotta pull the pin. Not because of physics or make % or whatever but because I wanna hear that sweet sound of the ball bouncing around in the cup.

  15. a-rooster-illusion

I also had my first birdie lip out last Friday. Shot a 100. I’d have gotten my first birdie and my first time breaking 100. Love this stupid game.

  16. At least you got it there. Most people hit birdie putts short. Still a great approach shot; you can build off of that and keep gripping and ripping.

  17. ImproperlyRegistered

keep your head still until you can’t see the ball anymore and don’t rotate your shoulders.

  18. Clean_Sheets_69

Hey, never leave the birdie putt short. Good on you

  19. BeebsGaming

This is why i will never putt under 30 ft with the flag in. I hate that rule change

  20. CalderonCowboy

Pull the pin. Every time. Leaving the pin in was a nod to Covid where we weren’t supposed to touch anything. I hated Covid and I hate anything that reminds me of Cofid.

I’ve had lots of putts hit the pin like OP and stay out. I have never missed a putt and said “Damn, should’ve left the pin in”.

  21. Bro short bird like that the flag comes out 10/10 times

  22. DannarHetoshi

Don’t worry bro, it may not have gone in, but I’ve hit enough putts in my life to tell you that was a make, 1000%.

  23. caffeineandpot

It boggles my mind how people can putt with the flag in. It gives a whole different look to the putt, and causes more misses than makes. Unless its a downhill breaker, pull the flag every time brother.
