hey golfers I’m Drew mold the second Swing Golf joined here by Tyler fitzell Master Club fair at second swing we’ve got some new hybrids Tyler yeah the QI 35 uh new from Taylor Made for 2025 we’ve got the series of oh this is both the standard and then the max head that we have today um I mean they look they look great they really do you see from these right now well the first thing is I I’ve got the rescue here and we the tailor made created the rescue quite a long time ago it was kind of the stable um hybrid for them and they’ve gone back to that so instead of for the past few Generations they’ve had kind of a tour type model that was a standalone with adjustability this is now going to be the standard model of that so the standard model is the rescue and the rescue for Qi 35 is going to have adjustability yeah um it’s not something that uh We’ve we’ve seen um in terms of tailor made for quite a while but we we have the the carbon fiber top that’s been mixed with chromium to provide lighter and stronger uh weighted uh um for the club overall but but the biggest thing is going to be its shape and so we start talking about a little bit maybe Slimmer here a little bit thinner here whereas we’ll get into the the the max version of this too which is a little little deeper so if you even if you just take a look at the the weighting the difference in the weighting uh that that they have here you’ve got a weight that’s a little bit more forward versus a weight that’s a little bit more back yeah and so they’re kind of trying to Target two different audiences with this and uh that’s what we’re going to take a look at today see what what what happens with the differences between these yeah exactly and I think also worth noting with the max Qi 35 Max you can go up all the way to a seven hybrid or a seven you know rescue with this that actually in Loft goes all the way up to 35 degrees so yeah got a pretty big Loft window there where you can have a you can in theory have a two rescue um with the QI the standard rescue a two rescue at like 17 degrees and you could have a the Maxum goes up to 35 so it’s a big window of Loft that you could address in your bag and we talk a lot about gapping when it comes to these types of Cs making sure that that’s dialed in for you so a lot of the same fairywood Tech is is involved here you mentioned all that stuff about the waiting and optimizing that I also like to bring point out the kind of that V steel sort of shape it’s one of my favorite aspects of tailor made Ferry Woods that they’ve gone back to I think it was originally introduced mid 2000s yeah was and then they went away from it for a long time and I think was Sim or Sim Max something like that they brought it back Y and they kind of stuck with it so this just kind of this little shape the sort of almost uh V so to speak on the back that helps that Turf interaction so another on the rescues as well yeah so for testing yeah you’re going to swing today which is nice um we’ve got the QI 35 you’re going to hit the we got different shafts because the max one’s bonded but nonetheless two different shafts two different hybrids or rescues to test here you you ready to do this or what yeah absolutely uh for me I’ve got um some 18 19 degree hybrids in my bag well I have what an 18 and a 21 so this is going to match up pretty well a really like hybrids hybrids work really well for me I’ve had them in the bag for a long time I really like this shape this is a great shape so I like the look um feel wise I probably won’t have any issues with this so um yeah I really like the hybrids it’s a part of my bag that I really uh enjoy playing um so let’s see what they do let’s do it all right so Qi 35 rescue uh tell me what you see at add dress there as we get ready to do some testing yeah a couple things I really like about this is it’s got this really nice like shallow shape to it that it it’s a little bit more elongated not a huge fan of something that has the high toe to it but for me um I really like this shape very similar to what I have what I play what I’ve always played so when I see something like this I’m always intrigued on that okay um I like the adjustability to it uh looking down this is something where I could put this in the bag right away I like the look I could play it nice okay so this is potentially potentially Tyler Fitz testing a club might be putting in the bag new club in the bag so well let’s see what happens oh yeah yeah I like that like that a lot this is a to clarify this is a three hybrid at 19 degrees right now correct yes we’re keeping things standard in terms of the adjustments um but is there a a distance that you’d expect to hit a 19 degree hybrid or have or I I would like to see this carry around that two probably that 210 Mark turn it all left that didn’t yeah not not as bad as I thought it would have been given the the way it felt yeah it kind of felt like you really I mean you were minus four on the on the um face angle I guess but again we talk about one of the technologies that tailor made’s really well known for now and it’s that’s twist face so if I did catch that maybe a little on that toe it kept it from going a little bit more left sure yeah they kept that face open a little bit it felt like a toe and a close oh okay so yeah a little thin but still felt crisp enough coming off the face yeah stays out there doesn’t H go too Wayward no we’re going to get to 130 ball speed some more ball close some more ball speed well let’s do it all right speak of that I know you can I know this is your this is your your stock swing here so yeah and this uh even for that like this is probably the club next to my wedges cuz you know the wedge magician um my wedges are probably the best club in the bag and then from there you get into the hybrids are probably the next best club in the bag so gotta have that gotta have that after a little bit more there’s so you’re mentioning 210 is your carry yep you got 21.2 on that one that’s a really good shot I mean nice high fade yeah I like that over 40 degrees you know for me the types of shots that I’m looking at with this are probably carrying over something yeah um might be a creek it might be a water it might could be on a t-shot generally um these are more Fairway type clubs for me yeah and they tend to be could be longer par 3es could be par fives where I’m trying to get into something um so that’s or or layup on par five as you talk about layup shots too yeah is I I want something that I’m I’m going be able to maybe carry here there over a bunker on a position it where it needs to go yeah exactly exactly so let’s see one more and see what we got little turned it over on that fade a little bit but uh good numbers in terms of the distance and stuff too so let’s look at that and then I’ll bring up this persion map here so this is the here I’ll go carry yeah so some some good stuff here you mentioned uh some of the numbers and the launch and the spin you’re looking for what do you what do you see on here that jumps out at you or that you know is is encouraging or maybe is you know a red flag is there anything no I think uh for me one of the things I might look at is a launch angle I I might want to try to get something in around maybe 20 possibly 21 just because I want to get a little bit more carry distance saying you want you would you would adjust the Loft on your Club yeah I would prob I’d probably try to get maybe 20° instead 19 out of it it’s like this would be uh that’s actually pretty good launch pretty good spin but I’d like to see that stay in the air a little bit longer yeah um so right now this is a little lower launch lower spin I’m I’m looking at the total as well is like a 225 and I hit some 230 uh I don’t need 230 out of this club in terms of a total distance I have to have you know that 210 Mark in terms of the carry distance of this club got got it okay so you you yourself as a fitter would maybe just add a little bit LOF to get what specifically are looking for exact I will say I like the consistency out of this thing a lot because you hit that carrying Mark right right around just above 200 205 was kind of your your money Zone there for almost all your swings um which is really good so yeah um to see that and and obviously you had some really good good feedback on how it looks and how it feels as well yeah and some of the shaft selections that we’re going to have as an option this this has got a Ventus it’s a non velor but also uh still holds the uh properties that Ventus does um very well in Fuji that it’s got stability it’s really got um it’s got some weight to it it’s got feel to it so there’s some other options with it from some other companies and you know testing a couple of those I might be able to get a little launch and spin out of a different shaft might go heavier might go lighter sure so could find some of those things too sure well we have the Q35 Max rescue here so let’s try that one so Q35 Max does it look bigger do you I mean what what is the it does look a little bit bigger so so it is maybe a little little bit deeper to that it’s also maybe a little bit more tow rounded to that too so not it might not just be as as evenly distributed too is there’s maybe a little bit more toe to this that’s okay it still has twist face so you can actually see the twist face on it the toe the high toe kind of gets flattened off a little and you can see a little bit more curve okay U inside on the heel uh but the same sort of look this one happens to be bonded and that’s the the the max version of this is bonded so there isn’t going to be adjustability with it uh but that’s why you can go to the stand standard uh rescue model and get adjustability with it so this is at 23° um I’m guessing right off the top that I’m going to start to see a little bit more height that’s one probably won’t see quite as much as the same carry like um when I was hitting the 19 in in the rescue model the standard model I was getting about 200 yards carry this is probably only going to be about 190 is okay so which is fine I’m okay with that too yeah let’s see how dial Tyler is here with his with his numbers that one was hit solid that was solid might be a little left but yeah a little pulley on that one he just kind of turn the face but nonetheless it’s that’s some ball speed and some distance I mean your ball speed with the you know 19 degree Club standard rescue waser 26 27 with that too yeah yep and you were saying right about 190 so yep in terms of your carry is what you’d be looking at here you’re at 189.5 average oh yeah really good there’s the 190 I mean that’s is that probably that’s as good as a swing as you’re going to almost put on that club yeah it just feels really solid to that um it’s it’s where I I’m looking at this is got 23 degrees a lot so I’m kind of typically in around 21 maybe even 22 but I want to see something that that carries about 190 this is in in a really good spot 19.4 yeah yep [Music] so here’s another good shot little open little open but nonetheless 188.000 the carry so let kind of you can break these down here now got our map of dispersion and our map or our our table with the numbers and then actually what I like about this so this is a 23 degre club and a 19 degree Club yeah your total is 203 with the 23 club right and then your carry is 203 yep with the 19 degree clubs that kind of works perfectly gapping wise too it is it is and there’s we we want like the 203 total here is going to be somewhere around 200 to 210 yeah the carry is going to be 200 to 210 on the next club and it’s going to roll out get me about 15 yards and then that’s where I’d look to add the next Club so from a gapping purpose this is exactly what we’d be looking for you know and then that’s what do is like that’s why they have a three a four a five a six and you know we talk about even in um in some most of the models in the lineups now is we’re carrying seven hybrids in this as it what 355g in the seven so you know giving us the ability to really get some height on this especially when you talk start talking about long irons right so a four iron for me um back when I maybe had more height and more Club head speed would have been able to carry about 190 now I got to do that with a hybrid yeah so and so that’s not a problem you will be able to find a club that does that we just have to find a club that does that yeah exactly that’s and that’s that’s why there’s so many options out there including these types of hybrids we talk about five Woods or seven Woods or one thing that I’m used to is is pretty heavy right it’s uh not because of my club head speed it’s just because I want to feel where the club is and this is extremely lightweight yeah um it’s designed that way but we have a lot of different shaft options we’ll be able to test that when you come in for a fitting and that’s the whole point right is to find something that creates that consistency y I’m sure if I had a little heavier shaft in this that this still would have done the same thing but maybe a little bit more control yeah because I think that could be attributed maybe to kind of this with one in the left here where the face was was closing on you otherwise you had four really consistent swings otherwise right you got that nice fade working that was really consistent with the the QI 35 Max on the four for rescue so anything on the numbers jump out I mean this is kind of exactly what we thought would happen right I mean with the Loft change right you know you get more launch you get more height you get more spin yeah exctly what we nothing jumps out except for the fact that it’s doing exactly what we would like it to do yeah right you know try to be consistent in the swing I’m not sitting here trying to make make something happen like okay that’s a little right don’t go left that kind of I’m just trying to I’m just trying to square it up each time that’s all yeah right which yeah and you did a good job of that I mean yeah if I know that so for me I don’t really worry about ball position unless I need to try to make the ball do something then I’ll I’ll let the ball position do it but not my swing it’s like sometimes we get wrapped up and just like I’m going to change my swing there’s a lot more VAR in the in the swing just make it one variable in the ball especially for this purpose too so yeah exactly so yeah really good stuff in the testing here the tailor made Q35 rescue clubs I mean there’s again we talked about this when the ferry woods but there’s more options you know we get the adjustability piece with the standard rescue now um and then you have you know all the way up to a seven rescue with the the max model which is really nice so um really good stuff here I think from Taylor mate yeah love it all right so Tyler testing complete Qi 35 rescue clubs yeah um I think you know we both really impressed we got some good stuff there you know plenty of launch consistency uh spin rates were kind of where we would expect them to be yeah um you know and kind of and talking about each of the models in particular I kind of wanted to start right away and dive into that so let’s go um I have the standard rescue the QI 35 rescue in my hand y after hitting this and kind of looking at it what type of golfers you think are going to put this guy in the bed well I think High speeed for one because this is kind of their tour model to that doesn’t mean that you have to be high spe to get into this it has adjustability where they’re they’re making that the adjustable one we talk about the QI 35 in terms of the max that’s not adjustable or the max light that’s not adjustable that doesn’t mean that that isn’t a good fit but what this offers is this offers a different shape it’s a little Slimmer thinner the weight’s up front instead of a little bit deeper so you’re talking about maybe a a little bit more of a trajectory Bas so you’re talking about trying to fine-tune the trajectory you got the The Loft sleeve so you have adjustability in in its Loft and it’s lie um that’s going to be something that I fit think fits most people well yeah and then as we start talking about it is we did this a little bit um as we were talking about Woods in uh the drivers into the fairways into the hybrids into the irons it’s like you’re going to see is like if you’re you’re in something that is uh a little bit more player style you might be in that player styled hybrid if you’re going to be something a little bit more game improvement or player distance type you might be in something a little bit more um distance type oriented or forgiveness type in something like the max yeah yeah exactly yeah so the QI 35 Max is like the one you just hit here last which was a little bit larger profile I think as well you noted um but it’s probably going to be for players maybe with slower swing speeds as well kind of a little bit a little bit maybe looking just for some more height and launch yeah and also directional like we we might find is like the the lie angle land or even the the the offset the the shape of that uh sometimes you look at it it’s too small and sometimes we look at it and it’s too big and that’s one of the advantages to having some different models to go with but also is like that adjustability uh May able to open it up uh versus closing it down that might be one of the the the options that we look at with it and we talk a little bit about shaft profiles too so when we get into the bonded side of it we’re going to have that shaft it’s going to stay in there whereas as a with an adjustable shaft in the um rescue model that we we might have the ability to have a shaft that’s we put put in and out and do some testing on that one as well exactly yeah so then then the max light um qi45 that’s that’s kind of where tailor m is entering sort of this slower or moderate I should say moderate swing speed player that um is is really just looking for Speed and so it’s lightweight construction right the lightweight construction is ball in the air get it in the air it’s it’s been a focal point um for a few Generations now in tailor made where you’ve talked about the HL which is um not necessarily uh for everyone but it’s about getting Loft it’s about getting height it’s about getting ball speed it’s trying to get that ball in the air because when it’s in the air it’ll go a lot farther than when it’s just on the ground yeah so get that thing in the air longer carry distance longer total distance exactly yeah well the tailor made Qi 35 rescue clubs um look like winners after testing today so yeah very much so yeah so get a fitting with Tyler or any of our Fitters at second swing we’ll get you dialed in and and make sure the gapping is right but also the performance and the distance is right for you as well so Tyler thank you for everything today and it was awesome thanks [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]

  1. I did try the Qi10 Max 5h, absolutely loathed it. Sound and feel was the worst I have experienced in a club – kept looking down to see if the club had caved in. Launch was stupidly high, but performance was good.

Difficult to tell from the video but the Qi35 seems to have much better sound. Problem for me is that latest models from Cobra, Ping and Srixon float my boat a lot more than the Qi 35

  2. My current 19* hybrid needs to go. I'm 150 ball with 10* launch and 3400 spin, typical baby draw, fades spin launch more. Would you recommend the lower spinning hybrid heads or due to my lack of dynamic loft should i stay in the more standard product? The hybrid has to go due to shaft, I'm playing a 85g s flex. I'm 115 club with driver, about 100-102 with the hybrid. I can pure the hybrid consistently, but if I'm not perfect on timing the shaft flex causes more dispersion.
