Chesapeake Hills Golf Course Family Fun Night 2025Source: Calvert County Parks and Recreation Facebook

LUSBY, Md. — Does your family love the game of golf? Families are invited to the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course for the second time this summer to participate in Family Fun Night on Saturday, July 26, with tee times starting at 5 p.m.

Calvert County Parks and Recreation is hosting the event, and interested families need to book a tee time in advance directly with the golf course at 410-326-GOLF (4653). The cost is $5 per person, regardless of your family’s size. Golf cart rentals are also $5 per cart. The event will also have hot dogs, chips and drinks available for purchase. The first event took place on June 21.

Families can flex their golf muscles — or strain them — on a special nine-hole family golf course. Golfers typically play 18 holes, so the shorter course is designed for younger players and those who may not have as much golf experience.

Family Fun Night can be a great way for kids and parents alike to try golf before committing to lessons or buying clubs. Calvert Parks and Recreation hosts various other special events during the summer, like parents’ night out, fossil-finding expeditions and an end-of-summer picnic. Interested residents can find the full listing of summer activities in the department’s summer guide.

The Chesapeake Hills Golf Course opened in 1968 and is operated by the Department of Parks and Recreation. The course opened its new clubhouse in March 2024 and has hosted special and charity events throughout the years.
