McIlroy has really turned it on over the last two days of play, shooting a 65 on Friday, before following it up with a 66 yesterday. If he can keep the consistency going through the final hole on Sunday, he has a great chance to win his fourth PGA Tour event of the year.
Gotterup remains tied with the 2025 Master champion at -11, but his score is being held aloft by the 61 he finished his second round with. I will take a blow-up from McIlroy or a better performance than Gotterup’s opening round of 68 or 70 from Saturday.
Other contenders include Wyndham Clark (-9), Jake Knapp (-9), Marco Penge (-9), and Matt Fitzpatrick (-9). Scottie Scheffler might be too far off the lead at -6, but anything is possible with the world number one ranked golfer.
This is a great PGA Tour event that you will not want to miss; be sure to tune in to catch all the action.
