hello my friends in this video I’m going to break down all the information about 2025 top series 1 baseball cards we’re going to talk about all the different formats where you can find them how much they cost and the value in each box as well as the exclusives that are available in each different format I’m also going to talk about production numbers how much of this stuff did they make and especially relative to previous year’s releases so stick around for the show if you ready and I’m ready let’s go well Where Do We Begin I guess we can talk about just an overview of the product in general as you can see here Aaron judge is the cover boy for 2025 series 1 and this is the new design for the card series 1 Series 2 and update as well as TOS Chrome and tops Chrome update will all feature this same design whether it’s the base paper in Flagship or Chrome design in tops Chrome and tops Chrome update Future Stars looks great this year I love the new design Paul SK is going to have a cup card this year and there are some good rookies James Wood Dylan Cruz Jace Young Kobe Mayo and more I have to say I’m a little bit disappointed in the Becket breakdown this year it seems to be really lacking they just put all the cards in alphabetical order which seems stupid to me and they didn’t list all the different variations the parallels we’ve got dancing Dodger variations golden Mirror Image variations are back and new this year’s player number variations for example sh Otani is limited to 17 copies whereas Kobe Mayo has 95 copies let’s swing on over to ri. tops.com and we can get a little bit more detailed into the parallels because there are a lot of them and a a lot has changed Hol foils are new those are 1 in 10 and they are retail exclusives they’ve added a aqua rainbow foil parallel as well as Aqua Hol foil pink Hol foil these are all retail exclusives purple Hol foil those are numbered to 250 they changed the numbering this year so they’re getting back to a more unified standard numbering system which I absolutely love purples to 250 Blues these are blue Hol foils those are to 150 you’ll see here we’ve got blue Hol foil and blue rainbow foil so the blue rainbow foil is a hobby exclusive and the blue Hollow foil is a retail exclusive they did the same thing with the green Hollow foil and green rainbow foils Independence days back that’s number to 76 this is new gold Hol foils are numbered to 50 and are retail exclusives and gold rainbow foils are numbered to 50 and those are hobby exclusives and if you remember in years past they had the gold rainbow foils those were jumbo exclusive now they’re available in both Hobby and jumbo boxes and there’s a different exclusive for Jumbo boxes and it is called sand glitter we also have confetti parallel which is an HTA or jumbo exclusive that’s new also new is the canvas parallel those are numbered to 50 orange is now numbered to 25 like it should be orange Hol foil those are only in retail boxes are numbered to 25 and orange rainbow foil hobby exclusives those are numbered to 25 also new the wood parallel which is numbered to 25 a wood parallel is a classic from years past from The Minis from Al and gter but this is the first time to my knowledge it’s been added to the flagship release also new we’ve got black Holo foil and black rainbow foil you can see there is they are completely revamping Flagship this year and it is overwhelming to try to figure out all the changes but that’s why I’m here for you and if you like the video hit the thumbs up subscribe to the channel striker break become a Slammer and get notified when I post a break now is when things get even more detail oriented because we’ve got exclusives in each different retail format silver crackle foil board parallel is available only in the super box the super boxes are a unique format that are more designed for kids and the value as far as dollar per parallel is not quite there but they have other things such as a giant card a giant collectible card a collectible pin a compan Canyon card which is a little hidden card behind the giant card and also you get your silver foil pack which has five exclusive cards only available in the super box The Hanger box has been completely revamped as well in years past it used to be a Walgreens exclusive you could only get the yellow out of the Walgreens hanger boxes then last year they added yellow foil and yellow crackle foil boards to 50 this year it’s completely redone no longer do we have the yellow exclusives we have damate foil The Hanger box has 59 cards in it it’s one of the most affordable and the best routes to go when it comes to opening retail or Flagship in general you get two of the base damate foils per box but they also have pinks which are the next most common those are 1 in 10 and according to Tops production BB there’s only 276 of the pink damate foils per player that exist there’s also gold damate those are numbered to 50 orange to 25 and black to 10 also new for this year are the tins now didn’t find I couldn’t find a ton of information about the tins but I did see that they have a pre-order available on Steel City for $21.95 now previously I saw a price of $55 for these so if they’re only $21.95 they’re not too bad you get 59 cards per pack which is the same amount of cards per Hangar box but the price is about twice as expensive there are different variations inside of the tin though we’ve got base card Birds those are numbered 101 you’re not going to find those but there’s actually a base par and those are two per 10 so it’s kind of like the hanger box where you get two exclusives per box or per pack and it’s also like a value box or a blaster box where you get the holiday parallels so we’ve got eggs rabbits flowers umbrellas and watering can exclusives inside of the tins and now inside of the value boxes or Blaster boxes they have spring training exclusives you get two per value box and they also have greens Golds oranges and reds numbered accordingly one of the big draws of this year’s release is that be c bonds has official on-card autographs and he hasn’t had autographs for a long time and his autographs are extremely collectible he’s got both San Francisco Giants autos and Pittsburgh Pirates variations and he also has multi- Autos in here as well now let’s dive into everybody’s favorite the value sheet the top row right here is the format we’ve got a bunch of different formats there are a couple I left out but we got hobby jumbo Hangar box fat pack Blaster Fanatics exclusive Mega boxes supers tins and display boxes these prices are going to fluctuate over time but as of right now I’m pretty accurate on all the prices it may change a little bit I’ve also got a new spreadsheet that my friend Cub’s been working on and it incorporates a lot more data including a price adjustment for the silver packs because you can take the silver pack and sell it on the secondary market usually it fetches you about $25 so you got to take into account that somehow the first interesting thing to note is the dollar per card red is bad green is good so the worst dollar per card is the jumbo box and the best dollar per card is going to be out of a hanger box or a fat pack surprisingly a pretty good dollar per card also is out of the Mega Box and the display box now this is not going to remain $60 I would imagine it to get up to about 70 it’s probably 65 to 70 but the first price I could find was 60 the next important thing to note is the price per pack because we multiply the price per pack by the odds per pack and let’s just get an overview of the whole spreadsheet here you see a lot of black because there are exclusives in a lot of different formats we’ve already touched on that a little bit but what we’re really looking for for is green where we see the most green usually indicates that that is the best value and we can’t let the Green in the hobby column over here deceive us because these are only available all these different uh rainbow foil parallels are only available in Hobby and jumbo format so it’s just going to be green or red and the better way to pull these exclusives is obviously going to be out of a hobby box because the jumbo has an inflated price because of the three guaranteed hits hobby boxes have one guaranteed hit and one silver pack jumbo boxes have three guarant hits and two silver packs so the price per all of these inserts so the price per all of these parallels is going to be more expensive out of a jumbo box but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not the best format so my first initial assessment is that the best value is going to be from a hanger box most likely also the fat packs now this is just if you’re looking to try to find parallels of your favorite players I’m generally a parallel Chaser so I tend to go hanger boxes mostly fat packs are the lowest price or one of the lowest prices and the best dollar per card so if you see fat packs in the wild and you just have the itch to open something don’t fret because it’s actually a pretty good bang for your buck the one thing you have to consider though is that they are hanging in the wild and people tend to handle them quite a lot so you can get a little bit of damage to your cards that way sometimes you want to make sure you get to them first before they’ve been handled a lot you’ll also notice I didn’t include the tins in this value sheet because the value is just really bad you’re kind of paying a lot for just the 10 so the dollar per parallel is really bad so so we can’t even really consider that it’s a bad dollar per card to the tins are more of a novelty now let’s head over to the advanced spreadsheet you’ll see that this spreadsheet has a lot more data involved and we’ve got a few different tabs right here we’ve got base parallels plus variations low-end inserts high-end inserts autographs and number of parallels base parallels plus variations adds up the pack odds of all the different things and we can scroll all the way to the bottom and get to the meat and potatoes of this whole thing and it’s basically base parallels plus variations per box that you’re going to get on average and then the dollar per base parallel and variation so this bottom row boils everything down to the information that I’m most interested in and it’s the dollar per so you can see here let’s just find the best one over here it’s $341 per parallel or variation in a Fanatics box so once again the Fanatics box is the best value and I’m going to put a link in the video so that you can just find it really easy with a click of a button it’ll send you to the Fanatics exclusive box these things will probably sell out fairly quickly because it is the best box to get in my opinion this is what the new parallel looks like over here it’s a tops border used to be in aqua now it’s a top Sporter another unique thing you get is the memorabilia autograph memorabilia Redemption cards only come out of the Fanatics boxes they’re 30 bucks a piece you can use a free shipping code on there and if you have a Fanatics card you get fan cash added that you can use for your next purchase I do that all the time those redemptions are one in 261 boxes and every pack has a tops foil parallel but if you look here on the odd sheet it says one and two so it’s almost like implying that you get one in every two packs and it always has that wrong on the odd sheet and it kind of leads people astray from the Fanatics box they think they don’t they’re not getting as much as they actually are and I can actually go in here and change this number to one and it makes the odds even better the odds go down to $23 per parallel which is by far the best the next best thing is a hanger pack which is 465 and then we go to a 10 which is 637 because they have the exclusive parallels in a tin so the the looks are very deceiving on the tin they’re the odds are really bad when it comes to most parallels but when it comes to dollar per parallel it’s actually not too bad you can see right here it’s like 14 to 15 parallels per Fanatics box because they have nine packs and you’re getting at least one parallel per pack and about half the packs you’re going to get more than one the value box is next at 722 per parallel and then Super box at 830 and then we go up from there the display box not that great the Mega Box not great actually the fat pack even though we see a lot of green here the dollar per parallel is actually not very good so there’s a lot of things that and on the surface look better than they are when you dive a little bit deeper into the numbers and the hobby boxes the dollar per parallel plus variation is actually quite bad the jumbo box is beat it out because they have the exclusive glitter sand glitter parallels and also the gold foils are in Hobby and jumbo so a sneaky value is the jumbo box if you’re chasing low-end inserts for example if you’re trying to put a bunch of sets together which a lot of people do all the low-end inserts are listed on this tab and and the best route to go once again is the Fanatics box $1.70 per low-end insert but the mega boxes are not bad and the display boxes are actually quite good at that the route you don’t want to go is the 10 hobby jumbo and actually hanger boxes as for the high-end inserts training grounds call to the hall these are all difficult to pull inserts but if you compile all of the data you’ll see down here that the best way to pull a high-end insert is out of the Mega Box $27 per high-end insert which actually isn’t that bad cuz a lot of the high-end inserts retain quite a bit of value and then next up what you might expect is the Hobby and jumbo box $164 per high-end insert the worst value once again the 10 and also fat packs you’re not going to get many high-end inserts out of fat packs but the display box isn’t half bad at $200 and then everything else is kind of in the middle what about autographs you compile all the data for the autographs I bet you can guess what the best dollar per is of course it’s the jumbo box $151 per autograph I’m not exactly sure how that works its way out maybe there are bonus autographs that are coming out of here occasionally or maybe the numbers are just slightly skewed but between the jumbo box and the hobby box that’s the best way to pull an auto but if you’re a retail Ripper mostly like I am the hanger box and surprisingly The Hanger pack are the best ways to go and everything else is kind of in the middle we see here that the Fanatics box is actually decent it’s in the middle but it’s not that bad and same as the mega box value boxes or Blaster boxes horrible you’re not going to it’s going to take you thousands of dollars to find an auto out of there and finally the numbered parallels and remember if you want access to this data anytime you want join my patreon group and become a Slammer here we’ve got numbers for 2025 how many base cards are there individual base cards per player over 1.18 million basically 1.2 million base cards per player that is awful but it’s not as bad as 2023 2023 had 1.27 five million base cards per players they dropped that down in 2024 which is nice but if you go all the way back to 2017 you can see there’re only 266,000 cards were not as big back then and then they exploded right around oh 2021 it basically doubled and then it’s doubled again since then the damante foil so these are the exclusives only out of hanger boxes there are about 6,000 each of those Hollow foil 5400 the pink damante we already talked about 276 rainbow foil boards which are available in every format about 10,000 of those the silver crackle foil boards come exclusively out of super boxes and we’ve got the aqua rainbow foil 214 of those pink Hollow foil about 1,200 the tops foil pattern so these are out of Fanatics boxes I I expect a lot of people after seeing this will go buy Fanatics boxes because in my opinion that’s the best route to go remember there’s a link in the video you can just click it it’ll take you right there I get a little bit of credit for shooting you that way I appreciate it and golden Mirror Image variations there are 141 of those that exist true photo variations are back they were not in tops update there’s only 99 of those those are the cards that have a full bleed design all the way to the edge and there’s no border sand glitter exclusive out of jumbo only 573 and that’s right in line to normally what a gold foil is out of jumbo there’s usually about 600 of those the tin variations 447 so these are nice low numbers that you can fairly easily Chase tins sand Glitters tops foil patterns the aqua foil the pink damante then the team color border variations which are very popular those are there about 400 of those home field advantage close to 6,000 of those exist so they’re not super rare but the legendary hfas there’s only a hundred of those so those are much more rare and how many Flagship real ones are there per player that signed there’s 145 of them each I hope you enjoyed the video if you have
