Mimi, great to see you as always. Here we are at the Amundi Evian Championship, your second major of the season. How are you feeling heading into the week? Yeah, good. It’s obviously really exciting. My first um yeah, my first Evian. So, I think I’m just going to learn from the experience. Um try to have fun out there regardless of how I play. Uh I haven’t really been um you know, enjoying the sport out there as much recently, so I’m just going to change my mentality. Um, yeah, go out, go out and have fun, try and make as many birds as I can and yeah, just see where it takes me. Yes. You just mentioned kind of an enjoyment factor. Is that something that’s you’ve been working on kind of mentally or just talk to me a little bit more about that? Yeah, I mean, um, yeah, it’s obviously a very mental game, golf, so um, when you don’t have that comfort or confidence on the course, um, you kind of lose the enjoyment because you just, um, get a bit stressed. But um yeah, I’ve been working a bit mentally um to just um yeah, try and enjoy out there more and um be grateful to be out there and that it’s my job and I’m not sat in an office, you know, and yeah, just um make the most out of every day that I have. As I said, your second major of the season. Um you played at the KPMG Women’s Open, PJ Championship, sorry, over in America. What did you learn from that experience and what can you take with you into this week? Yeah, it was it was an incredible learning experience and um yeah, opportunity to play with um the best in the world. Um obviously the conditions in the course were um really hard but yeah to miss it um just by one shot definitely gave me some confidence and that boost um and just showed me that I I can play with the best in the world and um it just honestly showed me to just have some more patience like it’s still my first year so I shouldn’t really be you know pushing too hard. I should just be um you know trying to en enjoy enjoy the majors the most I can and that’s what I’m going to do this week. Yeah. How is it for you kind of being on the range along some of the stars the the best players in golf? I know we spoke before on the podcast and sometimes you get a little bit nervous don’t want to go speak to them. Uh so how is it? Are you more comfortable now? Yeah, it was definitely surreal um over in Texas seeing everyone. it. Yeah, they look completely different than they do on the on the telly, but um yeah, it’s just really cool to um chat with a few and meet some um yeah, I was just on the range like uh 20 minutes ago and Suzanne Pison came up to me actually and we had a conversation and yeah, it was just normal chat and um at the end of the day like they’re all normal people and um yeah, I feel like they’re all open to chat so I don’t know why I was so scared, but yeah, it’s definitely cool to to be with them instead of watching them on TV. Yeah. Well, Suzanne won this in in 2013. Did she have any words of wisdom for you? Um no, we were more just chatting about um you know, both u she’s going to actually be in Sod Grande next next week like for the whole month of July. So um yeah, we were more just chatting about Spain and um the courses over there. But yeah, if I see her again, I’ll be I’ll be sure to ask her. Yeah. And back to this week then. played here at the Jabra Ladies Open just a couple of couple of months ago. What did you learn from the course and what do you kind of make of it this week? Well, um yeah, I heard that it was completely different setup to this week. Like obviously this week is supposed to be a lot drier and bouncing more, but I guess with the weather it’s a lot more similar to Jabra. I played like nine today and the course is honestly quite soft. Uh yeah, balls not rolling. Um just uh yeah, you just need to focusing on the on the long irons. Um and just make sure that yeah, you’re placing well on the greens cuz um yeah, they’re they’re quite fast and when it dries up, I’m I’m sure they’ll be rolling pretty fast on the weekend. Yeah. And who’s going to be out supporting you this week in in France? Just my mom. Yeah. First time she’s come to support me on the well on tour in general. And of course she chooses the the coolest one to come to. But yeah, I’m glad she’s here. Um cuz you know she does a lot behind the scenes and I’m glad that she can be here to experience one of the good ones. Yeah. And it’s a it’s a beautiful setting here. You got Lake Geneva just behind you. I know you’re into your running. So is that kind of going obviously back to the mental stuff as well. Is that you’re going to be out running and and what’s the plan there? Um yeah. Yeah, I mean it’s a bit hilly, so hopefully I don’t uh trip like last time, but yeah, I might go I might go for a run on a on a flatter route, but I’ll just see what my tea times are and yeah, just take it from there. Leading the order of merit, you’re looking very comfortable right now. What are your expectations heading into this tournament? Um, honestly, first of all, enjoyment factor and second of all, just um aim for top 20. Um, and yeah, just get my comfortable and confidence feeling back for the rest of the season. Best of luck this week, M. Thank you.
