Welcome back to another Get Up video. I’m Philip and today we’re going to be talking about a package I got in the mail from Tacoma. Let’s do this. All right, so today we’re going to be talking about the new wedge that I ordered from Tacoma, which is the SF2. It’s the Sky Forged wedge. It’s a brand new full face groove wedge from Tacoma. If you haven’t seen already, go to the website. You can check it out. So, now we’re going to go ahead and open up the box, get the tape undone, and see what’s inside. All right, now that the tape’s cut, we’re just going to open up the box and see how it looks. Look at that. There she is. Nothing in the box except just nothing. It looks like Tacomao updated their stuff where they got the black boxes with their logos on it. So, that’s kind of cool. Um, and here it is, the big reveal. All right, so we’re going to go ahead and take this wrapping off of there. See how this thing looks here. Pretty sweet so far. Oh man, that looks good. Really like that. Let’s take a look at the grooves here. Oh yeah, full face grooves. You kind of see the etching they did on the inside of it there. That looks awesome. It did come with the uh KBS steel shaft. It’s pretty nice. Really, really nice shaft. It’s got 120 Tour stiff. That’s what it looks like. U It feels good. It feels like solid, like really heavy duty, nice quality. Um, I ended up going with the 60°. This is the versatile grind, so it’s got the more of a bounce to it. You can see on the top there, this comes standard with that. So, if you’re wanting u more of a clean grind, like a full face grind instead of having it have a bounce, you’re not going to be able to get that on the 60 with these. It just comes with a with a bounce on it for forgiveness. That’s fine for me because I prefer it that way. So, here’s the here’s the head here. shirt looks really, really good. I’ll go ahead and take the plastic off if I can get it off here. Nice and clean. Super nice with the Tacoma logo down there. It’s got kind of a matte finish to it. It feels really, really soft and nice. It’s got this uh little section in here that was ground out with the SF2 there. It’s pretty nice. I really like how Tacoma um puts that in the side of their wedges there. Looks really good. Um, I really, really like the way that this club looks. They did a great job designing it. And I love looking down the site. Um, it just feels really good. The full face groove looks incredible. And I kind of builds my confidence when I’m around the greens here. I feel like if I if I do catch it off the toe a little bit, I might get um a little bit more spin in the direction that I want it to still. And that’s awesome for me as an amateur golfer uh to be able to have that. So, but I wanted to take it out to the course as well and hit some shots and see kind of how it feels out in the real world. So, let’s go do that. So, I’m going to hit a few shots for you guys to give you some live feedback of the field. Now, I will tell you before I do that, I played 36 holes today and I used this club as much as I could. Um, even when I didn’t necessarily want to use it, I tried it anyways just to get an idea and so I could share with you guys my honest feedback. Um, I am going to hit a few shots here. I’ll let you know kind of how it feels. Um, I will tell you first off before I hit one. Um, that as I used this club today, I felt like I had a lot of control, a lot of workability, and that was something I really really appreciated. The way they designed this club, um, I feel like the spin that I get on the ball is a lot more manageable. I feel like where I want it to check up, it checks up. Um, it really is a really well ma manufactured club. Super impressed with what Tacoma’s put together. That shot I just hit felt really good. I feel like I u it just off the grooves. There’s something about just a feel. I can I can really feel the ball when I’m hitting it. Almost like I can manipulate how I want the ball to spin and move around the greens. Uh especially if you’ve got the right kind of golf ball and if you have the skill set to do so. Now, I’m going to talk for a second here about the wedges I used before I got this wedge here. I’ve been using Bob Voki wedges for the last three years or so and um I actually ordered those customade for me and they were about $350 $400 for just two wedges. Um they’re great. I love them. They feel great. I get a lot of control around the greens with them. U but for a hundred bucks, I don’t think I’ll ever buy a Bob Vokei wedge again. I honestly not putting Bob Vokei down. They’re are great wedges, but why would I spend more money when this is doing exactly what I want it to do? And it just has the same feel. It’s got and even even more so, it’s got the full face groove, which my current ones don’t. This is just a no-brainer for me, guys. As a as a guy who’s an average golfer, I got a budget in mind, but I still want to be able to play the game and do it well. This is doing it for me. This is the tool that I needed for the price that I’d like to spend. And it’s it’s really nice, guys. All right, guys. So, that pretty much wraps up the video.
