Every Shot from a Twilight Round at Bandon Trails
[Music] But I mean, I like just straight at it. Play it 105, maybe 110.
Okay. I want to go 54.
Yeah.
Left or right of the flag better? Uh,
I mean, left of it is going to feed away. Right of it is just going to feed away and then you’ll have an uphiller. So, okay. I hear right of it probably. Just short be like back right corner. Okay. Yeah. Is it down at all or is it flat or?
Uh just flat. Maybe a hair uphill in the last third.
Okay. All right. Not bad. right there. Short ones don’t break much on Great shot. Thank you. Yeah, you know, we’ll keep we’ll just keep hitting good shots. That was a good club, though.
A little bit uphill. All right, I’m going to we’re going to get aggressive here, Casey. We’re going to You’re right. kind of a little scared of that. I don’t know why. Sit down. Sit down. Sit soft. Sit soft. Really soft. Uh oh. I think we’ll be able to get a club on it.
Yeah. That was a little couple inches in.
That was a little Heily Dan there. Okay.
Okay, I see it. All right, there it is. It’s not great, but we’ve got something. Yeah, we can get that out. So, I’ll probably hit a little punchy eight iron, I think.
Yeah, you thinking like 130 140 and just a little right of the people set of an angle. I think all things considered, that was decent.
Yeah. Yeah, that’s perfect. That’s fine. Go. Cruising along.
Yeah, bars are good. Bars are good. Should be good. Yeah.
Yeah, it should be all right. Your n iron’s 150.
Yeah. Like max like
Yeah. If you want to hit a punchy one, like try to go 145 with that.
This thing will still float up, I think. Yeah.
But yeah. Okay.
Just try to go like 145 with that, I’d say.
Okay. And then just right at the flag.
Yeah. Yeah. Straight at it. Oh no. Get right. Get right. Get right. Get right. Right. Right. Right. Bunker. Safe. Should we? We got We got the hands up. Dang. Stay dead. straight. Sit, sit, sit, sit. Oh, come on. No, don’t do it. All right. Sit. All right. How do we feel about that?
Yeah, it’s fine. Get a little left. Tried to save that putting.
Yeah, we’re putting Man, just can’t get it there. Man, that’s frustrating. All right. Any fish in this pond?
Uh, probably. Yeah. I don’t think they stock it, but Okay.
There’s got to be something in there. Be good. Be really good. All right. I asked. Go. Get right. Get right. Yep.
Mhm. It’s a little scoopy. I hit the spot, but it was a little scoopy. Get that. All right, we got one, KZ. Good read there. Gotcha. Oh no. Be spinny. Be spinning and short. Be spinning and short. Yep. Spinny and short. Nice.
All right. Full send. Yeah. Go.
Stay left.
Go really hard.
Go really, really hard. Oh, bunker.
Looked like it sat short of it.
I kind of fan that one a little bit. Little
wet spot right there. Will the Will it funnel left when it gets on the green?
Maybe a cup.
Okay. So, not much. Yeah. All right.
Average can make that one. Oh, we got a putt out it.
Yeah,
we like birdie putts.
Yeah, just give us a chance. Dang. That was a good roll.
Yeah, this is just a needed a hair more than left edge. Yeah, I’m not mad at the speed though. I feel like if I would have hit it much harder and it missed, it would have would have been in an interesting situation. We like that. Yeah. Yeah, we like that.
Yeah. I was just waiting for a good bounce. I didn’t even see it for a second. Straight into the sun. A little right of the flag. Okay. Stay up. Dang, that was a good roll. It’s a really good roll. All right. Solid hole, though. Yeah. Dang it. It’s safe, right?
Yeah. I just made that hole very long, but edge of the fairway. You probably have like a seven iron. We’ll survive.
Yeah. I um I know what’s right, and I didn’t want to be right. Yeah. So scared.
That’s fine. Should bounce a little right. Terrified. Scared is not even the right word. Terrified. It’s a fun shot though.
Yeah. Just get closer. Oh my gosh, man. Oh man. Keep doing this to myself. Good.
That one tried to miss.
I know. That one tried to miss. Go. Stay left. Come off that slope. Oh, way short. It’s all right. All right, we’re going to have a tough putt.
Yeah. Make it though. Turn, turn, turn, turn. Shoot. It’s all right.
Respect. It’s a tough par three.
Yeah. I mean, I think all things considered wasn’t terrible.
Yeah.
It’s kind of a silly bogey, but uh oh. Safe or not safe? Bunker. Bunker. Yeah. Yeah. Almost flew it. Oh no. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Stay right there. Stay there. That came out hot. Hotter than I thought it would. It’s all right. Chipping a putt. Turn right. Turn right. Turn right. Turn right. Keep rolling. Okay. That is so frustrating. So unbelievably frustrating. Oh man. Why you got to do that? All right, birdie time. You got to turn turn it up.
Yeah, sounds like
This is a pretty cool thing about Bandon. It’s like if you’ve never been here, the first time I came up and there was a truck waiting, I was like, “Wait, what?” Oh, not it. But safe.
Yeah. Oh, wow. Wasn’t even remotely close. Go. I think that’s good. Yeah.
Yeah. See if it gets a good bounce. Got thumbs up. Nice. Why do I keep doing this to myself, man? All right. Well, missed opportunity, but par’s good.
Yeah, par is really good on that that hole. Perfect. Yeah.
Yeah.
Sweet. Yeah. Good call on seven wood. Please be good. Please be good. Mhm.
All right. We like that.
Yeah. Stay right there.
Was good. Really good. That was pretty Healy, Dan. It’s not going to go far, but great line. Yeah, really good line. I don’t know what to do.
Didn’t hear any bushes.
I don’t know if that’s a ret or re
I didn’t hear any bushes. So, let’s just go take a look. It’s like a black two, right? You can take one on the edge of the fairway for two shots. It’s like the new USGA thing. Or you go back for one and just replay. What a bummer, man.
Yes.
My guy.
My guy. Walked right over it.
Love you, Evan. Go. I didn’t see it. Ah,
just made it to the fairway cut down there.
Okay.
And we’re we’re talking like pretty much full flop here. Yeah,
pretty much. Yeah, like the highest you can. I mean, if it does roll out to that back edge where his ball is, it’s fine. Okay.
Yeah. Just kind of playing for a little bit of a miss over there. Great hand. Stop. Stop.
Great hand. About as good as you can do.
Yeah, I’m happy with that for sure.
Very happy. Dang. All right. Could have been worse. Very lucky to find that ball.
Yeah. Unfortunate to make a bogey ride. Please be so good. Please be really good. Mhm. Great chat.
Yeah, we love that. Thank you.
Is it going to run away from me?
Um, no. Kind of. I mean, it’s a downhill past the hole, but it’s nothing crazy.
I’m glad you’re here cuz I was thinking it was going the other way. It’s got to just barely fall, right? Let me see here.
And the more I look at it, the straighter it looks.
Okay.
I’m just right where your right where your uh flag stick is. You just can’t you can’t do that. Can’t do that to me right now. It’s a good read. I just didn’t hit it hard enough. We okay?
Yeah, you’re good.
All right. Close to the edge, but you’re good. It’s got to go really hard. Really hard. Okay, call this hard. Dang, man. So disappointing. But an unreal day. Abandoned trails. Thanks, brother. Appreciate you. Great day out there. [Music]

Trails so underrated
"Healy Dan" going straight into my arsenal
Excellent video! Nice round Ian!
Stayed in it. Great playing!
Cinema!!
So pure! This is the coolest format I've seen in the "play with me" format. No editorializing, just golf and great photography.
Not a single PB&J in sight. Nice playing, Ian!
Great way to see the course. The player needs to be a little easier on himself and raise his self talk level. I haven't been to Bandon in 12 years hope to get back sometime soon.
Trails is a lovely walk through the forest with some golf interspersed.
Played every course twice during our trip last month and BT was the overwhelming favorite to play. You feel like you have the whole course to yourself
So good, just on Hole 14 so far, but man oh man, I cannot recommend people to skip the truck ride from 13 green to 14 tee more – take the nature walk, its the most amazing way to see the best reveal on the property – from your own feet ascending that dune and opening up through the forest and seeing the ocean. It's not a hard walk, just give it a shot! So zen, so peaceful, and really makes that 14 tee shot smooth and easy with a clear mind.
It's fun to watch these and see all the bunkers I've been in before.
Beautiful. This is the level of really solid golf I’d like to get to.
Absolutely awesome content! This is how I wish all golf videos would be filmed. More of this please!
Feels like a TARGET ad.
Best golf vidoes on the web. So pure. Keep them coming.
These videos are the best
You pull a lot of pitch and chip shots
Great camera work and no nonsense style. Even though Trails is my least favorite, this makes me want to go back
These are always the best. Y'all can do more of them if you want, just sayin!
“The best public course in America” -Tron Carter
17 might be my favorite par 3 on property and that’s saying something considering the 3s on Pac and Bandon
What time did you tee off and finish here? I’ve got a similar setup in a few weeks.
best golf video I have seen in some time, no music, no noise, just the peace of the walk and the banter of the team. Played Pac and Sheep and Trails is next on the list. Was pulling for that putt on 18 for sure. Thanks for a great 20 minutes spent.
Love the format! Great golf and awesome vid!
This video was the best format that I have seen. Great video quality, and you are a great golfer too. Cheers!
5w 7w 4i? What's your loadout?
Greens looked a little sticky with the moisture still on them.
Who was your caddie?
Hands down the best way to watch golf.. Thank you!
… very low key vid, good player, well produced – but my favorite series on Bandon is Eric's Club Random series on all the courses. They're a true masterpiece of entertaining, fast moving, everyman's golf.
it always cracks me up when i see the dissapointment in a round of mid 70s.. i would give my left nut to shoot a 76.. 😂.. is Tiger still chasing 82wins? 🤔 It really doesn’t matter what anyone shoots if you think about it, you always think it could have been better.. its an unwinnable game.. keep your head held high, there is always tomorrows round
