Changing The BEST CLUB In My 2025 Bag?!
in 2024 there was a clear winner for the best hybrid of the year and it wasn’t my four item it worked its way into my bag and I absolutely loved it it was of course the Tailor-Made Qi10 Tour so it’s that lovely smaller headed hybrid and it features lots of technology to help play shots a little bit like this one but there is in fact a new hybrid on the market which I think could steal the crown of the best hybrid you see this year Tailor Made released a Qi35 hybrid and that actually blew me away with how good it was how versatile it was how forgiving it was but I’m not sure if it’s as good as the hybrid that we also have in this bag today we’re going to test it out here at the wonderful Cardan Parks Cheshure Course yesterday we played the championship course and it was fantastic and I’ve spent quite a lot of time in the studio testing these hybrids so you’re not going to want to miss that so let’s go and pair them out here on the course to kick off the lovely shape of this Qi 10 Tour and I must admit I’ve hit some really nice shots with this club since I’ve had it in the bag you can see a lovely high draw there just up the left hand side of this fairway now the one thing I like about this Qi 10 is not only that I can play shots like that I can play that lovely big high draw it seems pretty forgiving with that speed pocket right down at the bottom here for those low phase hits but also we have the adjustability element on this club so I can change this from a 19 and a half down to a 17 and a half i can also change it up to a 20 and a half or a 21 and a half if I want to and that allows me to play not only shots like the first one you saw but shots like that one much lower much more penetrating just trapping back and fading into the fairway and for me that’s why I absolutely love this hybrid i’m not one for taking clubs out of the bag just because they’re new just because there’s a new one on the market but I am one for innovation i’m one for change i’m thinking if there’s something better like every golfer out there could I have it in the bag so this year we have this the Ping G440 hybrid now I’ve done quite a few videos on this i’ve compared it against different hybrids i’ve had it in the bag for a couple of weeks just to test it you can see I have it in 17 degrees of loft this also features adjustable neck and has lots of technology in there it has the carbon fly wrap it has lots of other gubbins on there to see just what we can do with it so the studio element of this video might shock you the outdoor section it I’m going to kick things off here come and look at this we got no Bobby today actually we’ve got Laura on camera laura how are Good thank you
good now which one do you think looks better there let’s show them right down at the ball i think this one takes it by a million miles doesn’t it the Qi 10 the Ping however I’ve never been a huge fan of Ping Woods really until we had this G440 lineup and the G440 lineup for me is staggeringly good driver the the 3-wood doesn’t feel or sound amazing but this I mean it’s about time we hit it isn’t it and showed you because if I can hit shots like I’ve been hitting with this that sounds absolutely fantastic again that’s that lovely big high draw just up the left hand side of this hole and that felt phenomenal so we’ve had a nice high one we’ve had a nice low one with the Qi 10 is this as versatile as the Qi10 Tour because I haven’t always been a hybrid kind of guy if you’ve been watching the channel for a couple of years you may know that I’ve always been a kind of driving iron kind of person that’s why the QI10 Tour works so well but can this ping potentially do that as well can it help me hit that really kind of nice low knuckle bally one yes it can that we even had a bit of turf in there that was absolutely gorgeous by the way and that’s bounding down the fairway just as I would want it to let’s jump inside let’s check some numbers for these clubs as well and let’s get back out here at the wonderful Cardan Park and see which one will find its way into my bag for good and we are of course going to test these two heavyweight hybrids in here in the studio to see just which one should find its way into my golf bag into your golf bag and if we have found ourselves indeed the bargain of the century okay so let’s kick things off with last year’s Tailor Made Qi 10 Tour Hybrid for me this is certainly one of the best hybrids I’ve ever had the pleasure of testing love the feel love the sound love the price and love the performance that for a miss is unbelievable by the way what numbers can we get out of these two hybrids should I be changing that felt absolutely fantastic for me any hybrid that does pitch over kind of 200 210 220 you can see that’s pitched at 213 yards releasing out to 230 is a fantastic club to have for both off the tea and into some green so that’s the number so far we have to beat 17° this is set to that felt f that’s going to be out of bounds that’s such a shame because that was absolutely ripped and that’s pitch 220 and finished again at that 230 number albeit left out of bounds let’s aim a little bit the right can play a nice draw with this club there we go lovely ball fly you see how consistent they are as ball flights and that again pitch 211 releasing up to 230 so we’re seeing some nice consistent numbers here which I would anticipate with this club i really really do love this as a hybrid let’s see how it varies in ball flight again just turning to the left ever so slightly that might stay in it’s pitch 216 it’s released out it’s very very very consistent that was I’ve tried to hit that a little bit lower and you can see I’ve just turned it a touch look at that one that felt fantastic 216 carry that time so I’m going to say this is around a 215 carry releasing out to 235 i’m going to hit one more try and really get it out there and then test it against the ping that’s as good as I’ve got that’s really really well hit that one 235 carry 255 total wow right okay so we’ve seen just how much of a punch the Tailor Made can pack and it’s obviously going to be that little bit cheaper because we can pick it up from last year’s market secondhand how can the ping which is set at the same loft contend that sounded totally different felt powerful it’s up the left hand side it’s a good start it’s a 223 carry it’s the first shot we’ve hit with this club it’s 240 yards total it’s not going to run out as far with it being in the rough let’s just aim down that right side see if we can get that lovely ball flight we had with the Tailor Made oh that one’s going to be another one that’s in the gardens it’s pitched a long way it’s still in you know 222 23 so that I’m really really happy with that both these shaft lengths are the same so should be getting very similar club head speeds which it looks like we are doing very very impressive so far that was towi that’s the highest one we’ve hit so far but he’s spending a lot of time in the air that’s over 200 that’s a 212 carry spinning at 3,800 and that wasn’t struck out of the center of this face can we catch up to the tailor made to the longest one that was a that was a go at one but it still carried it’s carried 212 with a terrible hit now obviously you can see that the Ping does have a slightly kind of elongated head compared to the Qi 10 to so it is going to be maybe that bit more forgiving even though it is really really handy to have that’s another towy one it’s another high one about 212 again maybe maybe a bit shorter 211 so I know what I’m getting with this and I know what potentially I can get from a mish and from a good shot so far the Tailor Made has the longest one but the Ping has probably the best front to back not probably the Ping has the best front to back dispersion we definitely hit the fairway more times with the Tailor Made as well though that’s as good as we’ve got i would anticipate that to be big it is it’s a 228 carriage releasing up to 248.78 and the spin 2,000 spin so it’s always going to be well sub 2,000 spin always going to be that longer one do love this new function on the golf side i can just keep hitting right that’s massive that’s really well hit up the right side of the fairway still in the air at 220 226 nice spin 3004 so far I think we’ve got two fantastic clubs and it may well come down to the price of being able to get the tailor made secondhand and yes I’m well aware that potentially we could go even further back still get some really good performing hybrids although these for me are certainly two that I’d be thinking about to have in the bag in 2000 and that’s a club 12 inside how far is that going there’s a 231 and there’s a 250 yards wow okay so you saw some fantastic shots in the studio there you saw to be honest some fantastic consistency and some downright bombs from these hybrids now we’re 250 yards out here and it’s into the wind usually that’s a 3-wood for me but with how these hybrids are set up I almost think it could potentially take away the need for a 3-wood which would allow a mini driver in you see how this video is kind of transpiring but we’ll go ping first this time i think it’s going to have to be a kind of low trappy draw balls above feet so that helps guys also get in the comments below when we do videos like this are you more interested in the indoor numerical side or out here at the gorgeous Cardon Park cuz we do try to get out and show you some nice different courses with the different clubs but also for me I like to know the numbers i like to know the crunch i like to know what’s happening right anything around front edge is outstanding effort with these it’s a long way out here oh that’s as good as I’ve got but it’s left sit sit that is in the trees on the left that is my main worry with trying to force a club like this and not just hitting maybe a knock down fivewood or 3-wood or something like that at distance it wasn’t too bad you know we did lose balance which wasn’t ideal come on Ping oh there we go that’s exceptionally good there’s that tight little draw in and that’s pitched short and that’s bounding up that’s about 10 yards short so from 250 yards I don’t think that’s bad i think that’s pitched around kind of 220 released out a little bit more now when we look at the design of these two clubs I mentioned earlier that they are quite different there’s also quite a lot of similarities as you’ll see we have a weight right at the back here that’s not a movable weight it’s just a static weight but obviously with the head shape of the Qi Tentor being that little bit thinner then it’s going to have more CG towards the front end of that face so it’s easier to get that kind of low spin shot and I must admit I was disappointed when we didn’t see a Qi35 tall but then the Qi35 is pretty good can this get there that’s another good one see that’s not drawing in that’s just stayed out to the right i’ve hit that as good as I can and I think that’s probably gone i can It’s bouncing down the path that one’s gone mild it’s bouncing down the path i hit that really really nicely actually you can see just out of the center of that face i’m annoyed that’s not come back but I haven’t hit it left yet properly whereas I think with the ping you do have that marginal offset that potentially can just alter the spin axis a little bit come on and this is the one middle of the green and this just stays in the bag that’s really good but again it’s not drawn on me it’s just stayed out to the right it’s not bad it’s inside the path line this time but I honestly think guys there’s two fantastic options for 2025 if you’re looking for a nice low spin hybrid get in the comments below which one would you use i think for the money I’d stick with this cuz you’re going to pick it up a lot cheaper to be honest I do love that but it’s not cheap i don’t think it outperforms anything like this for the money see you tomorrow goodbye

I personally think the Ping looks better from above.
If only I could hit a golf ball any where decent then I’d consider one lol.
Cameraman is giving bobby a good run for his money ha
On the course is so much better
I think the cobra has a nice hybrid club.. more happy with that..I rather consider a better putter like lab or the new Taylor made spider with the off set grip!
Move the adapter on the Ping to the flat setting James. It noticeably reduces the left tendency
Driver, mini driver then hybrid, 5 wood or 7 wood I think would suit you mate which ever one fills the gap and gives you the ball flight you’re after
wish you would show the ni=umbers comparison
I prefer the outdoor testing as we can find out about the turf interaction Those hybrids remind me of my old persimmon 3 wood
I like the combo indoor outdoor.
That's my current setup. Driver, Mini Driver, 5W, 4H, 5i+
I'd stick with the TM. You seem more consistent with it. Ping may have some offset that is forcing the draw
Both in and on course are needed together.
I think it's a good mix, you get the numbers and ask also a look out on the course real conditions
outdoors! not indoors
On the course and in the studio please James.
I’m a ping wood guy but I have the q10 tour 4h in my bag. First hybrid that wasn’t a hook machine for me
I’d like to play carden park but it’s a distance away from me. Tm I think just because of the money you save and I hate tm clubs. Don’t know why but I always get a brand in anything I won’t use or wear
I like the indoor and outdoor format, James.
I feel yet another trip to GolfClubs4Cash coming on, to replace my old 20° Cobra hybrid, even though i love it!
