Keegan Bradley has officially completed his team of assistants for the 2025 RDER Cup, selecting 2019 US Open champion Gary Woodland as his fifth and final vice captain. Woodland joins a strong group that includes Jim Furick, Kevin Knissner, Web Simpson, and Brandt Snedeker. Each bringing unique experience and insight to support Bradley in his first stint as US Rder Cup captain. I have an incredible amount of respect and admiration for Gary and everything he’s achieved in this game, said Bradley. As a major winner who’s still playing at a high level, he understands the pressure of competing on golf’s biggest stages. His experience and leadership will be invaluable for us heading into Beth Paige Black. This marks Woodland’s debut as a Ryder Cup team official. While he’s never played in the bianial event, the 41-year-old has represented the US before, most notably at the 2019 President’s Cup in Australia, where he earned 1.5 points in a tight 16 to4 victory at Royal Melbourne. Woodland’s return to the PGA Tour has been inspiring. After undergoing brain surgery in 2023 to remove a tumor, he’s bounced back to playing full-time and remains closely connected to many of the top American stars expected to compete in 2025. I’m extremely honored and thankful to Keegan for giving me the chance to contribute to Team USA at the RDER Cup. Woodland said, “Keegan’s passion for this event is infectious, and I’m excited to be a part of it. With just over two months to go until we arrive at Beth Page, I’m fully committed to doing whatever it takes to support Keegan, the other vice captains, and our players. The 2025 Ryder Cup will take place at Beth Page Black in New York, where Team USA will look to reclaim the trophy after Europe’s dominant win in 2023.
