Come along as I take on McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links in Atlantic City, New Jersey — a unique links-style course inspired by some of the most iconic holes in Europe. This 8-hole vlog (holes 8–15) showcases creative layouts, tight tee shots, and my personal shot-by-shot strategy using TheGrint app for course management.
Each hole at McCullough’s is modeled after famous designs from courses like Royal Dornoch, St. Andrews, and Prestwick, but you get it all in the heart of Jersey. With the wind blowing and temps soaring, this felt like a true test of mental and physical golf grit.

golf in Atlantic City not exactly what you’d expect thought there’d at least be a casino at the golf course but instead started with a giant sand castle by the first tea yeah um not really sure why but uh look unique part about McCulla’s Emerald Golf Links is each hole here is modeled after a classic lynx hole in Europe so basically budget Scotland 95°ree jersey heat i didn’t start filming till the eighth but at least I got that good golf cart pick um here we are eighth hole par4 water hugging the left side and then slight dog leg right in my head I’m just trying to avoid the pond and commit to a draw starting at that right bunker hopefully lands center cut in the fairway we had wind coming into us off the right so naturally oversw got lucky with this sticking in the left rough had about 135 here decided to grab my pitching wedge just aim center of that green leave me leave myself with a birdie putt did exactly that have about 15 20 feet for birdie here i had this going a little bit left to right downhill putt this is just a reminder hit down those spike marks make sure you don’t have any pebbles sorry is that too soon Tommy but want to make sure clean line line that up square back square through it just didn’t have enough speed probably should have aimed a bit more outside left but that is a tap in par we head to the par 3 9th here pin was back right probably playing about 180 185 wind coming hurting a bit left to right so I decided to pull out sixiron tried to hit a bit of a knockdown shot and thought it was good but then the wind caught it
and just blew it right
right side about pin high in the rough
nice easy chip here on set myself up with about six seven feet try to save par here this was a big breaker can’t really tell from this angle but this this is going to break heavy you’ll see just right right past the hole tap in bogey we head through the back nine 10th hole we got a long par4 into the wind that first portion of the fairway is a pretty uphill um and then there’s fescue uh surrounding the entire fairway so I’m just trying to hit nice easy fade with the driver just cut it into the wind sort of like that and we’re off and running into the back nine at even par second shot coming up here from uh left side rough just didn’t catch this cleanly luckily I stayed in play but I had about 30 yard wedge shot from just off the green um this pin was tucked close to the edge um and if anyone has seen my wedges lately you’ll know which was a bit stressful and that’s why just have been getting the yips not sure what it’s starting to get better but um this round was a couple weeks ago so still was dealing with it but this is a big big putt here to save bogey and we get that done we are one over heading into the 11th odd par4 here it is very uphill uh wind was helping a bit and you can see I could potentially drive this very close to the green so that’s what I was trying to do here and I yanked it definitely I pulled it luckily still in play there’s a lot of space left um there was a patch of fescue but I got past that had about 60 yards here went with a 50 degree I believe and during that swing I was still thinking of the yips so I’m just happy I got that on the green i’ve got a birdie puck coming up from about 20 25 ft this is a big slider right to left downhill slightly and I don’t think I even got close to enough space out to the right on this one there it goes past the hole and then it keeps going a little bit and clean this par up got about five feet what is that James six had to step off here big gust of wind and a joke was said so had to regroup boom that extra rotation helped we save par we head to the 12th another long par4 narrow fairway i’m aiming at that right bunker it is a blind t-shot though but I do know that if I hook it a bit left I have some space i just do not want to go right cannot go right and that was one of those swings I just put everything I had into it trying to bomb it um I did hit a good ball there i was able to get it just by the T- box on that 11th hole had about 135 140 in to this uh went with a 9 iron here you can see caught it a bit heavy when I first made contact i thought it was good um I had it was blind shot though i had no idea where this ended up when I got up to the green I was just off about 10 yard chip here nice 54°ree and I tapped this one in to save par and we move forward i accidentally forgot to click record look been doing content for two and a half years sometimes that happens um I do have ADHD so give me a break but we head to the par three 13th is a long one um into wind had about 195 to this flag i went with five iron and this was one of the best shots of the day for me swing felt great great contact was right in line with the flag but this one ended up being about 15 ft past this flag we’re feeling good looking at this putt it’s about a double breaker from what I’m seeing up here i did use the Grint app um green reading portion to to kind of get a sense of the break here um bit of a double breaker my aim point was uh left edge um and just hope and pray yes that’s a birdie get you going
we’re gonna need a drink after that one
and we are back to even par heading into the par five 14th hole t- box is set back in the trees right behind this little pond um pretty narrow don’t want to miss right ob right and left really can’t miss left either with all the fescue so um accuracy is required here and following that birdie I absolutely pummeled this drive great swing nice and and smooth we’ve got about two 220 in here i caught a four iron a bit heavy um blocked it out to the right a little bit but
it’s a good layup leaving me with about 50 60 yard chip in here um this flag was in the back right portion of the green and it was tiered so I was trying to aim uh about 10 yards left of this flag um and just let it sit on that back back portion didn’t want to miss this short and had wind helping slightly on this one went with a 54 degree fortunately ball goes out of the camera on this one but it is on the green and we’ve got about 15 feet uh left to right downhill for our birdie [Music] all right feeling good over this one definitely think that I’ve got a chance i’ve had a lot of left to right brakes uh that day uh downhill so speed is um speed’s been good just got to make sure I get this read right just a matter of how far out left I’m putting this from the hole if I remember I think I had this going about cup left and it just sneaks on by but another easy tap in par we’ll take it we head to the 15th which is a very quirky hole as you can see there’s a par4 um from T- box to that front of that green is about 233 you can’t see the green whatsoever though from this TE um it’s uphill then downhill you got bunk bunkers on the right side here um so I’m just trying to hit a kind of a sicey three hybrid um land right between the ferry bunkers and those green side bunkers that is exactly what I do just got to make sure it gets past that second bunker and it does leaves us with a short chip shot down the hill we got a little bit of a back stop past this flag that I can potentially try to use 58 degree here there’s a good shot just
big big bounce off that first hop leaves me with a short downhill again birdie putt let’s see if we can knock this one and end it just not enough speed another tapping par look thanks for tuning in if you got this far appreciate the support make sure you subscribe and catch you on the next one

Liked how you gave insights before each hole.. there were some moments of no action that could have been edited out maybe?
