hello and welcome to gameules.com my name is Mark and today I’m going to teach you how to play the newest edition of Uno to hit the store shelf Uno Golf this takes the classic game of golf and unoofies it we’ve got action cards we’ve got color matching and the goal is still the same to get the lowest score possible let’s dive in and learn how to play out of the box you will get an instruction pamphlet and a 112 card deck the deck is composed of four different colors and for those who have color blindness there are symbols on the cards to help differentiate between them there are number cards and then there are also action cards to set up the game shuffle the cards and deal out six cards to each player face down those cards should be arranged to form a 2×3 grid the rest of the cards are placed face down in the center of the playing area to form a draw pile turn the top card of the draw pile over to begin the discard pile if it’s an action card you ignore that card and turn over the next one each player chooses one card from their layout and turns it over now you are ready to play determine who will go first on your turn you begin by drawing a card you may take the top card from the draw pile or the top card from the discard pile if you choose to take the top card from the discard pile you must add it to your grid you may replace a face down card or a face up card remember the objective of the game is to have the lowest score so you are going to want low numbers the card that is replaced in your grid goes on top of the discard pile that ends your turn and play passes left let’s go ahead and look at another turn for this player this time they choose to begin their turn by drawing from the top of the draw pile it is a skip 11 when you draw from the draw pile you can choose to keep that card or if you do not like it you discard it if this player wants to keep this card again they may replace any card in their grid however they do not want this card so they discard it if you draw a card from the draw pile and choose not to use it you must turn one of your face down cards face up o and that ends your turn now let’s talk about action cards whenever a turn ends with an action card on top of the discard pile that action must be completed in this case we have a skip so the next player would be skipped just like in Uno there are also reverse cards so if the top card of the discard pile was a reverse then the turn order changes and instead of clockwise you would go counterclockwise or vice versa depending on the current order a draw two card means that the next player must draw two cards from this the draw pile and without looking at them put them face down on their grid if a draw two card comes into play the player who has to draw two is also skipped they lose their turn and finally there is a draw four card and there’s two ways you can use this so if I were to discard the draw four I could either have two different players of my choice draw two cards and add them to their layout or I can choose one player to draw four cards and add them to their layout with the draw four card nobody’s turned play would just progress as normal at any point during your turn or at the end of the round if you have columns where two cards are matching in color or number those cards are removed so for example if this player is taking their turn and they pulled a zero they could replace this card discard it and then now they get to clear this column before they end their turn to do that you remove the cards from your layout and then you get to discard them in any order so in theory if one of these were a action card I could put that on top forcing somebody to be skipped or have to draw two so on and so forth and that would end the player’s turn when a player only has one faceown card remaining in their grid they must call out Uno if another player at the table sees that you have one card left and you have not called Uno and they do it before you and before the next player’s turn begins you must draw two so you have a draw two penalty so you would draw two cards and add them face down to your grid so for this example our player could draw a card and decide they do not want it so they have to flip over one of their cards and they would need to say Uno because they only have one face down card left and again if somebody beats them to it they would have to draw two and add it to their grid and those are all the rules for Uno Golf play like that continues until one player at the table has all of their cards face up that would end the round so let’s see what that looks like our player draws they get a yellow 10 they’re actually going to keep it they’ll discard that that means they get to remove that column because they are matching color and the round now ends for all the other players at the table so let’s say here is a different player at the table as soon as somebody ends the round by revealing all their cards all the other players at the table reveal their faceown cards anyone lucky enough to have created columns of matching colors or numbers gets to remove those cards it’s the end of the round so the order of the discard doesn’t matter this player would get to get rid of their middle column and their right column leaving them with nine points so then at the end of the round once everybody has flipped their cards over removed any column matches you then add up the points and that’s your score for the round so this player would have nine points after the score has been documented you will collect all the cards shuffle them up deal out six cards to each player you will play nine rounds and then at that point whoever has the lowest score wins and that’s how to play Uno Golf if you have
