ben Griffin is on his own run it is time we take a moment to really dive into the world of Ben Griffin born in Chapel Hill North Carolina he went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well multiple tournament wins earned all-American honors and turned pro in 2018 he got himself a win on PGA Tour Canada he competed on the Cornferry Tour as well as PJ Tour Latin America he showed flashes of talent but struggled for consistency and he was unable to secure a full PJ tour status in 2021 the pressure of professional golf led to burnout he went for a career shift he hung it up he was a mortgage loan officer which I imagine he was great at he’s probably getting people great rates he said at first he really didn’t miss golf he was invited to a member guest tournament at Highland Springs in Missouri and shot a 63 on his own ball sparked a little fire and realized he still had the game to compete in 2022 he rejoined the Cornferryy Tour with conditional status all from the support of some of his friends mike Swan encouraged him to play in a Monday qualifier offering to cover the expenses and his other friend Doug a partner at an investment firm called Lloyd Abbott provided financial backing to support Griffin’s return to professional golf achieved multiple runner-up finishes secured a PGA Tour card for the 2023 season well now we fast forward to the year 2025 the year of Ben Griffin partnered with teammate Andrew Novak they take the win at the Zurich Classic beating out the Havgar Twins by one stroke and this was his first PGA Tour win then in May of 2025 the Charles Schwab challenge was Ben Griffin’s very first solo PGA Tour win also taking himself T8 position at the PJ Championship top 10 finish in a major memorial coming in in second his total PGA Tour career earnings are 13.8 8 million [Music]
