This afternoon, the Marlins take on the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase field in Phoenix. Wrapping up what could be the best road trip in their 33 year history. E Rod, keep the pitch count down early in the ball game to, was forced to use six relief pitchers in the ball game yesterday. Love to get a deep outing from E ROD today and here is a Lopez, the hottest hitter in this lineup. Nice high hop for perdomo in short. This kid ramirez has been impressive. He’s only 23 years old and he’s got the hardest hit ball in chase field this year and that is slugged deep to center Thomas is going back. It’s going to be over his head. Another extra base hit for ramirez who’s thinking about going to three and he is gonna go to try and get a triple and he will Augustine ramirez and that is his first major league triple and Roberto hernandez getting the start swing and Miss Eron Elevates and Eric Wagman is up. Wagman has had five doubles in his last seven games to a pitch in on Wags hands. He sends a little chopper over to third, Suarez has it on the bare hand. He fires in that one bounces into the camera. Well, that’s over the top of the padded wall along the first base line. Suarez tried to be a hero but that is an infield single and an RBI for Eric Wageman. He pushes to second on a fielding air and it’s one fish rolled ashore. Gets up that line. Jerry’s got it a strand Wagman for the Marlins strike. First Diamondbacks coming up against Cal there he is. Cal Quattro will make the start his second on the road trip for , for him. It’s basically getting to that fifth inning. That’s the goal in mind, especially here today, Eugenio Suarez leads off here in the bottom of the second and he’s got a knock, just dunks it over the head of Norby at third and Suarez single starts the second Lourdes gal junior hitless so far over eight ground ball hit Norby charging gets one throw the first. Not in time. Here’s jake mccarthy mccarthy hits a drive to center so he won’t get it. Gurriel is on the move mccarthy might catch up to him. Here comes Los, they’ll stop Jacob there and he’s got the RB I triple and it’s a 11 ball game mccarthy’s bat starting to make some noise. I mean, he got another fastball and boy, he just wrecked it, got him a cutter that strikes out and Thomas and Marlins are tied at one and leading off. It is javier. So 32 and that one popped up over on the right side. It is Pavin Smith and no problem makes the catch. I bring up Auto Lopez 12 pitch swung on and another lazy pop up this one in the shallow right mccarthy now coming in, he’s got it two down, the 12 swing and a miss and he is down on strikes. It is a 123 inning. Rodriguez has struck out four. Marlins. Jose herrera leads off the third against Cal in a 11 ball game. Groundball up the middle. That’s where the shortstop Lopez is and he will throw to first in time. Perdomo stamps in. He has doubled in homer in this series behind third Norby and Lopez. The shortstop’s got it for the second out. Says the RB I tripled by mccarthy sent down all four face and now deals with one. It’s gone number 17 for Catell who has now hit home runs in five of his last nine games. I mentioned earlier that the Diamondbacks have not swung at first pitch in the ball game. First time through the order. Ambushes this time jumping first pitch, Jack Winkler leading things off in the top half of the fifth inning. It’s 21 Diamondbacks and Winkler grounds it to first a nice easy bounce for Pavin and in close proximity to the bag, he steps on it for the first out of the inning is 22 years old, plays all over the field line shot. Oh, it just eluded Perdomo. It’s a base hit for SOA and Lopez done a lot of damage in this series. He’s got a nine game hitting streak during which he has 16 hits and 13 runs batted in ground ball sharply hit under the glove of Suarez. So Noah’s gonna push the program again. He goes into third base, nice job of running and a break for the Marlins 1st and 3rd here in the fifth, Augustine Ramirez, the DH is the hitter swing and a Miss, he got him with another cutter, a big strikeout for Ira. That’s his fifth and the second time he’s got Ramirez job not done yet. Hernandez zero for 231 that is down low, no doubt about that. And that’s ball four. The bags are juiced now for Eric Wageman who is two for two in the game. Got him. Can we Rodriguez gets out of a huge mess and picks up his defender behind him and Lee Parker has been pitching extremely well, especially in his last four outings. He hasn’t allowed an earned run here is Pavin Smith 0 to 2 to start the bottom of the sixth swing and a miss struck him out. Suarez is one for 212, that one cut on and missed good slider from baker at the knees and Suarez is the second consecutive strikeout victim for baker. There are two away. That’s two quick outs and here’s Lourdes and that’s it in the air to left field. Hernandez will move over there and make the catch pitcher for the Diamondbacks, as we mentioned before is right hander Ryan Thompson and now has a two and two record and a 475. a 31 misses outside ball four and out. Augustine Speedy Otto at first he could be on the move 31 pitch and he walked another hitter. The Marlins have all right handed hitters. So now it’s going to be a situation. Does Lavello want to go with a different right hander in moving quickly up the food chain in the back of his diamondback bullpen is Kyle Backus who worked a scoreless sixth here yesterday with two strikeouts, strike three, dropped a sinker in there and he fooled him. Eric Wagman has two of their four hits. He has singled twice and knocked in their only run two on and two out. Popped him up behind second, jake mccarthy coming in Thompson in the sixth back in the seventh , getting him out of jams and keeping it a 21 diamond back lead. Here’s Jalen bes 38 appearances for Jalen. Now he and allowed only one run over 10 appearances before a rough one here. Yesterday gave up three earned facing Dane myers who is zero for two with a walk myers takes inside and he draws a leadoff walk and now it’s Connor Norby, who’s over to the walk in his own right swing and a miss chased one out of the zone and a nice bounce back. Strikeout for sure was so now Jesus sanchez, the Marlins have used their bench swing and a miss a fastball down the middle swung right through. It. Did Sanchez hit on the way that’s out of the strike zone for two walks in the inning. And so Noah will come up here. This could be a big situation here, especially if so can find his way on or even get a big hit here. 32 pitch off. They go that one bounced in front of the plate. That was a changeup and again, missed by 2 3 ft and the bases are loaded. The Marlins have a chance to tie or take the lead with their hottest hitter coming up in Otto Lopez drives in base hit scoring is Myers Hicks coming around and he dives in there and gets in there. Marlins get the lead 3 to 2, a two run single by Otto Lopez scoring both Myers and Hicks. Now stour with a line drive that’s a base hit that will score a couple and ST is gonna get a second. The Marlins are gonna plate all three. They did again 6 to 2. Miami as Faucher makes his second appearance in this series, we saw him briefly in the opener here Friday night trying to get some back. He dunks it to right and Jose gets, it started their first hit since the third in the leadoff spot for three. There’s a single and a walk to start the ace. So here comes the, come back trail and here comes Kell Marte ground ball. This one, it’s fair. It’s the bag Wagman picks it up , stays with it. Oh, good job by Wagman. That was tricky batter is Pavin smith. Zero for three Knicks can’t find it. And Herrera’s home talked about that. We’ve seen Faucher uncork some wild ones and that was a wild pitch to brought home a run. Got him big cutter for Faucher to strike out smith. Here’s a tough hitter, one of the best power hitters in baseball. Geno, Suarez Suarez with a knock and makes it 6 to 4. Geno second hit today. Got him with the curveball to come in. But we go to the night. Here is Henriquez has two saves in his major league career. He will start with the 789 hitters beginning with Randall skies one into shallow left center field Stowers and myers converging kyle calling for it and he’s got it for out number one and with one away it’s Alec Thomas ground ball chopper Wagemans going over there. Tough play, gets it to Enriquez for the out. Eric Wagman has had the best game of the season we have seen at first base. So here is Jose Herrera. Now here’s the 22 pitch. Got him, he got him on the slider and the Marlins win it 64. It’s their first undefeated road trip of six plus games ever.

  1. Don’t worry Dbacks. Giants are on their way to hand your favorite team four free wins this week.

You might even see a perfect game or two.

  2. I swear, the moment of Ketel Marte being mocked by that disrespectful fan is a curse. D-Backs haven't won a game since. C'mon Snakes, our will is to win for Marte.

  3. Who said you needed to spend billions on payroll to win 🤣🤣
Marlins playing some great baseball & deserves to be recognized
Not endless, tiresome highlight reels of a pitcher throwing 1-2 innings

  4. Marlins Roger Beshens Football slidered the Dbacks. Dbacks just don't get it even though my pic on left is me teaching Brent Strom my football slider in the Dbacks Clubhouse.

  5. Unfortunately for the Marlins fans – the cheap Marlins owner will be trading most of these young players soon

  6. The Marlins completed their first 6-0 road trip in franchise history, beginning with a three-game sweep in San Francisco.

The Fish are red-hot! Miami has now won a season-best seven games in a row, 12 of the past 16 and, perhaps most remarkable, nine straight on the road. The season record still is only 37-45, but the low-spending, no-name Fish have climbed out of the NL East cellar ahead of Washington and are now shouting from third-place Atlanta.

The Marlins also set a franchise record with their ninth straight victory on the road and swept a trip of six-plus games for the first time. Miami, which is off on Monday, finished June with a 14-12 record for the club’s first winning record in a full month since May 2024. They have a six games homestand starting on Tuesday, with 3 games with the Minnesota Twins and 3 aganst the Milwaukee Brewers

  7. Marlins are hot and should see more fans at Marlins Park for the homestand. Will they? Probably not. Miami has always been horrible in supporting their team.
