didn’t drive the ball as well as yesterday’s which meant you had to play defensively but it’s the same score as yesterday at 69 are you satisfied with that
i’m satisfied i mean yeah it could have been it could have been better it could have been way worse as well i grinded it out and uh it’s a big time golf course if you’re not in the fairway it’s it’s really tough to make pars you can make some big numbers so yeah it’s just about getting getting in some nice runs getting looks and just putting some good some good rolls i feel like these greens are perfect so uh I felt like I rolled it pretty nice if you win tomorrow there’s a possibility you can get that open championship spot is that something that’s in the back of your mind or perhaps even the front of your mind
yeah I know it’s something that I’ve obviously had in my mind since they announced the the sponsor or not the sponsorship but the um the spot for uh for us um yeah I mean I’m going to be trying to play as good as possible it looks like uh I haven’t looked in the last couple holes but Petri is playing incredible golf he’s a he’s a great golfer it’ be tough to catch him but I’m going to give it my all you have such a great demeanor out there good or bad your emotions don’t change especially like what happened to you on eight but you don’t change is that something you’ve worked at or does it come naturally to you
i think over time you just you just realize that I mean there’s really nothing good about getting mad and it hurts when you hit a good shot and you get penalized sometimes and it happened to me in Mexico as well the exact same scenario and he went back in the water and uh it just it is what it is uh it’s I’m not the only one i’m not going to be playing victim and just feel bad about myself i mean that’s only going to put me in a bad frame of mind and probably going to keep on doing some other bad stuff so I just have to erase it and the only thing that matters is the shot in front of me and that’s it
