This Downswing Mistake Is Ruining Your Game #golf #golftips #golfswing
stop trying to hold on to this angle throughout the whole down swing through impact and even past impact this is going to kill the speed and it’s going to lead for you to just jam that club face way open i’m seeing a lot of this online at the moment and it’s killing people’s games what we want to do is we want to make sure that we release the angles we want to make sure that we release the angles and allow the hands to work a lot of the best players in the world use their hands and release the golf club don’t get sucked into saying you can only square it up with the body and this is going to be more consistent from what I’m seeing it isn’t allow the club to release allow the face to close i guarantee you’ll get more speed and you’re going to hit it straighter
Too many golfers are trying to “hold the lag” in the downswing but this is a move that could be ruining your swing. In this short video, we break down why chasing lag can kill your speed, destroy face control, and leave you stuck and inconsistent.
Stop following bad advice and start swinging more freely and powerfully.

Just what I thought! Thanks for confirming what I learned thru many bad shots! lol
But if I do that I start getting flippy with hands
Have you guys got a video on release at the bottom? I.e. what your wrists should be doing? Never too sure if I'm too wristy or not using my wrists enough at the low point
I’m not sure it’s that black or white , there’s pros who swing this way
No one does this lol
That pro sender or whatever it is locks you into this position as improvement.
Staff bag? Who is we ?
Hold it .. release it … what do I do 😢
I understood it as a way to achieve a feeling, or rather a certain exaggeration, which in the real world of swing helps with elbow reconnection. So what is than recommended way to 1) achieve elbow reconnection 2) create space for the hands to move under the body 3) achieve lag??
I always visualize turning my hands over, old school broom method. If timing is good and so is down swing path, I get consistency.
Nice one Andy, good to hear 👍🏽
Yes
Amen!
You forgot the Trigger mechanism using the hands, arms, shoulders, where centrifugal force, the conservation of angular momentum, is the employed Trigger system for maximum release, I'm the only person in the world 🌎who knows how to teaches this💥
Angle retention is the result of a swing that's in sync, not because someone is intentionally holding it.
That’s exactly what I needed to see. Heading to the range rn
